Leitner Ultimate Questions & Answers
VerifiedI'm considering this bike , however many of these year-old reviews refer to early battery or electric issues. Has this been resolved, I'm reluctant to have to transport the bike for repair, even under warranty as it's a distance. Btw do they fit in the back of an SUV?

Front wheel comes out easily. It should fit any wagon or SUV with the rear seats folded down. There is an issue with the battery pack just sitting on its wires on top of the aluminium controller housing. I fixed mine when a wire broke through, but this is the kind of repair that can’t be done by professionals, only skilled, pedantic old blokes with time to do it right.
How much amps does it have
Hi, The Ultimate has a 36 Volt,10 Ah Samsung lithium battery. the full specifications are available on our website: leitner.com.au I hope this helps. The Leitner Team.
This isn't a high capacity battery, but the advantage is it is a light, easy pedalling commuter. i went for a ride along Brisbane river bikeway (no slopes) with my son on a normal bike, and I left the electric off as it is fine pedalling on the flat without it. normal speed for me on the flat is 25 km/h so even with the electric ON it isn't working - just when I come across a hill it kicks in and maintains the speed up a hill.
