Fridge temp is set up to 5C and freezer -17C but actual temps are 12C and 3C. Any idea what's wrong? Thank you
I'm having the same issue and the fridge is almost 5 years old
I have had my GF- B590MBL for 6 months. 3 weeks ago I noticed water leaking from under the rear of the fridge. It would usually leak in the afternoons but not every day. The fridge itself seems to be working ok. It is not plumbed and has no water near it. The leaking stopped for about 2 weeks but it has started again. Any ideas about what could be causing water to leak?

Our GF-B590PL 2 door fridge is quite good but occasionally it develops this high pitched noise. It sound like to me as a bearing noise. Today it has been going for about 2 hours. There are no flashing light etc to indicate there is any faults. Your insight to this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Colin
Ours can be quite noisy but usually for shorter periods. Unfortunately we have had no support from LG as all 'service calls' are at our cost unless their technicians agree with us about issues. The call out fee we had to agree to be liable for was too high to be worthwhile.
I bought this fridge based on the sizes stated. Only to find that the fridge is too tall to fit in the space.
The space I have is 790 and stated height is 787. However, the fridge actually requires 810mm.
Is it possible to remove the wheels and Feet and will effect the performance and warranty of the fridge.
How do I do this?
Just bought one of these. Really quite noisy compared to our 5yo Samsung (& $800 cheaper). Anybody else finding this fridge noisy?
Hate the no auto close doors. Kids leave open all the time....
Not a problem for me can't hear it and don't have kids, neither tried the other one to compare
While LG states that the LG 594L French Door GF-B590 Series (Slim Width) it is designed for 85cm width fridge space (which is my fridge space), the fridge is 83.5cm and I'm concerned it won't be enough room for ventilation either side, as everywhere I read ( including CHOICE) have recommended 5cm clearance either side, could LG representative explain before I purchase please? I am concerned that the fridge will eventually breakdown from overheating. I have limited over head space also. Please advise the products suitability. Thanks JB
P R sent me this to reply, but your query is to LG and should be too. But it's a good question and they should be providing an answer to you or anyone else . Although I would have thought only the back of the unit should have more clearance... Ours is free standing in a fairly large room and we only had it a short while ago

Beware as colour film peels off their fridges and they are not interested in repairs.

I purchased a GF-B590MBL fridge from Harvey Norman, Midland WA. In November 2020. The problem is the plastic overlay on certain parts of the top doors is starting to peel off, my question is, is this a protector for certain areas of the doors and, can this be removed, already the it's starting to unsightly. Hi William, I have the same fridge and was having same concern on plastic overlay. It's alright that plastic overlay is getting peeled off. I removed all plastic overlay by myself to see real beauty, haha. so nothing to worry here, it's just kind of coating, to protect from accidental scratches.

835 mm.... It is slim but very spacious
It is 835mm wide and is designed to fit alcoves as narrow as 850mm in width to allow for doors to open and ventilation around it.
I am concerned about the various reviews that keep mentioning the noise the fridge makes. Can people confirm if it’s that bad?

Are the external surfaces of "Stainless Finish" fridges as durable as "proper" stainless steel or regular white painted external surfaces?

Fridge size too small for medium family of 3 or ok?
I'd say it would be perfect for a medium family of 3 or 4 with room for special occasions, like Christmas or when guests are visiting. Only thing is a lack of upright bottle space. The two bottom door shelves can take a few bottles but if you have more, they have to lie down and they tend to roll about on the glass shelving. You can't adjust the height of the shelves but the top one is just right for standing 330ml bottles of beer. Hope this helps. If you can find a stockist who has one in stock, I'd recommend taking a look before ordering. Take some bottles and things with you to test out the space.
Some reviewers have said that contrary to the feature of the linear compressor, this is a "very noisy fridge, not suitable for open-plan living". Is there a technical specification on the noise level available anywhere?

Not sure about other reviewers but our LG GF B590MBL fridge is so quiet we often open it just to check it's actually working. We have a small house and hear every little squeak and creak but nothing from our fridge. Of all the wonderful features, the quiet operation is one of our favourites. Maybe you could check which model the other reviewers were referring to?
