LG Roboking Square VR64702LVMP Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPN: VR64702LVMPWhy is mine not working anymore
It needs a new battery
We fitted a new battery but the problem returned after a couple of months. I've disconnected/reconnected the battery and sometimes works. This fault appears to occur when Robo gets stuck somewhere and then the battery goes flat. After reading posts here I've reached the conclusion that the battery management system fails, and requires some voltage to rewake, so to fully recharge. I've put into the charge port and when it plays the switch fault message, I then remove it and return it to port. I repeat these steps until it accepts the charge, normally takes 4 or 5 attempts. The fault then doesn't return again until the unit gets stuck again, hence battery goes completely flat. Good luck, Life's Good!
What is the usb port for? Near the dust bin.
Software upgrade.
It keeps saying “main power switch on the back of the roboking is turned off, please turn the switch on". It is on. And I’ve tried switching it off and back on. I’ve tried cleaning all sensors and tried turning the home base off and on. Still no luck. Anyone had this issue and know of a fix?
Yes mine started a couple of days ago same problem, driving me mad.
Hello Parker 09. I have the same problem now. Did do find a solution
No I didn’t. If you have any luck please let me know. I’d love to get it working again!
Did anyone find a fix? Ours has started with the same message.
I have read somewhere that the issue is the battery. Anyone have replaced it?
I haven’t. Has anyone else tried that?
I have the same problem too. Any body has found a solution? What should I do?
Mine has developed the same problem. Seems that a lot of us have this problem and no fix yet. If LG is supposed to monitor this site, why haven't they advised on this issue. Looks like if don't get any advice from LG as a result of this message, into the bin and I'll by a Roomba. From what I am being told by friends, much better machines and better service.
Same problem for me, yet I had a factory replacement of the battery with a new one ($120). That battery was supposed to last much longer.
Same thing happened to me. Purchased a new batter online from eBay. Took less than a minute to change the battery over (there are two retaining screws underneath), placed it on the charger and it's all good to go again.
It's the battery the battery is completely dead and needs replacing I had the same issue with mine then I replaced the battery and was working again
The battery is no longer viable. It needs to be replaced. My unit is doing the same - I think the the battery life is poor for a product like this.
I measured the battery, it's fine, the problem hasn't gone away. So I think the board is in protection mode. Has anyone found a solution?
The right brush is stuck-it won’t rotate anymore. Removed all debris around it but it looks like it is either stuck at the brush itself which prents rotating or on the right side of the large brush which are connected. How can i have a look inside to see where the problem is? We do have long hair cats so i assume the hairs are causing this. Thanks for the help. Marjolein
Stupid piece of crap says switch on back of roboking is turned off???? How its on and the charger is on and there is power lighting up the display on the vacuum...
Any ideas LG??
Want to build fantastic customer relations... I bought it on the 15/03/15... This stopped working about a month or two ago... After we finally found it hidden under a bed 3 months later.
Would you like to replace?
There is by pass circuit that allows it to communicate when the main switch is turned off but it is on the charger, this helps to let you know that somebody has turned it off and not that it is simply disobedient or lazy and refusing to work. Just follow it's voice instruction, turn it on and the planet will again return to its stable rotational orbit.
...."This stopped working about a month or two ago... After we finally found it hidden under a bed 3 months later. Would you like to replace?"
I probably wouldn't have publicly admitted to the fact it took 3 months to find it in your own home, the fact it stopped working after you found it raises the question was it simply hiding in fear from you? did you beat it after you found it hiding and accidentally kill it? or did it just wither and die from lack of respect and care?
I shan't think that they "would like to replace it" after 2.5 years and out of warranty but if you take it back to the shop cradling it carefully in your arms and tell the shop assistant while brushing away a tear and through sobs that it has died, can you help? You never know your luck.

Mick
My roboking keeps saying "main power switch on the back of the roboking is turned off, please turn the switch on"
It is turned on i have tried many things to get it to stop saying it but it just keeps going. What can i do?
Have you turned the switch to on. On the LG docking station? Or try to update the firmware via the usb port. external link
Hi,
Does the virtual wall come with the Roboking vacuum, or it an additional extra?
If an extra, how much does it cost?
Thks
Lorraine
Hi, Lorraine, The LG Rooking Doesn't use Virtual walls. It has a Myspace option which is there version to Virtual walls, this allows you to map out an area before cleaning so you can tell it areas not to clean. Problem is it doesn't save your settings so you have to do this again and again before every clean. So its a pretty useless option. Thanks Brian
