Is it such a complicated procedure that Mitsubishi can't address on their website or this page?? 'Call customer service' seems to be a default reply....
Thank you Flemming. Have followed these steps, however still don't get the 2 confirmation beeps....guess I'm going to have to resort to the customer service hold queue
Hi Mitsubishi my ice maker has suddenly stopped making ice. I was ask to reset and press the energy saver icon for 6 seconds and the ice making icon flashes - after 15 mins it still hasn't reset - does this mean that I need a technician to come in? Could it be the filter as I have not change it since I bought the fridge.
Are you happy with your white fridge? I hope the white doesn’t yellow over time! Cheers
Definitely. Still perfect almost 6 years later great fridge
best fridge so good i purchased just purchased 1 for my daughter
Temperature settings for fridge ? Temperature settings for freezer?
There are 7 sections each can be cleaned separately. You can also you can adjust the temperature in the different sections. One you can make warm or freeze. It is best fridge we have ever owned I am 64 a doc a d Tracey 56 a nurse 2 kids 16 and 18. Cheap to run. Quiet. Ice maker doesn't take up space.
Hi, we have the MR-WX743Y. We have been trying to set up the ice maker but the water do not go down and fill the ice tray. It is not making the ice. I’m not sure if we are missing something or not. The setting is in ice rapid at the moment.
I think you should call the support number. I just filled the water tank and it worked. I haven’t used the Rapid Freeze. Good luck.
Hi Simariya, Thank you for your purchase of the MR-WX743Y refrigerator. It's a great fridge! It's been a while since you posted your question. Is your fridge making ice yet? If not, please refer to page 36 of your user manual for these troubleshooting notes:
After installation of your new refrigerator, it takes 4 to 5 hours for the refrigerator to cool, and 24 hours or more in summer to make ice.
Make sure ice making is not set to "ICE STOP" (you've done this)
Ice tray and ice tray lock lever are installed correctly. = page 27.
If the fridge still isn't making ice, give us a call on 1300 651 808. Our tech team will be able to assist.
Best regards,

I actually have the wx743c but can’t see it listed here.
I like my fridge so far but am very confused about the temperature controls. My vegetable drawer doesn’t seem very cold at all. I had it on the “• H” setting. And it registered at 5 degrees. I’d like to make it lower if possible. The instructions state that “M” is around 3-9 degrees. That is a very broad setting. The next cold setting of “• H” is 0-1 degree lower than “M”. “H” is 1-2 degrees lower than “M”. And the “• •” setting is “keep vegetables moist”. Is this the lowest setting? According to these vague instructions It’s quite possible that your M seeking could be 9 degrees and therefore the lowest it can ever be is 1-2 degrees lower at 7-8. That seems like you don’t have much control over temperature. And it seems too high a temperature for vegetables. Today it was cold and raining in Melbourne. What’s it going to be like on a 40 degree day?
For a cold veggie drawer do you just have to be lucky? This is disappointing.
Sorry, I wouldn't have a clue how to set it up - my husband did all the tech stuff. I suggest you contact Mitsubishi. My veggies seem to stay fresh for ages, so I think it is cold enough without it being really cold. Sorry I can't be more help.
We have just got the same problem with the ice stopping working.. anyone know a quick fix?
the freezer has started to ice up, have not had this problem before. Can anyone confirm correct setting for freezer M or H ? tried to reset to factory settings however did not seem to work as per manual, did not get 2 beeps after touching icon for 10 seconds

Marion did you get a solution for resetting to factory settings? I'm trying to reset mine however (like you) doesn't seem to be working. I am not getting the two confirmation beeps and seems to want me to manually select the settings.

Ice maker has stopped working. Water tank was still full but no ice in compartment. Have taken apart and washed and replaced, but still no water entering ice cube tray to form blocks. Fridge is 14 months old. Have read the manual and checked that nothing has been turned off inadvertently and all appears to be set as before. Any suggestions gratefully received!
Had same issue dec 2016 and pump was replaced, problem solved. Unfortunately dec 2017 same issue and am still trying to get resolved. Love the fridge and service agent vertaccomodating but just want ice maker to work reliably.
Answer- call mitsubishi and log a warranty claim 5 year warranty is very worthwhile
Thanks so much for your reply Gold Coast. I have a repair agent looking into it and am hoping they will be as successful as your first repair! It is disappointing because the fridge is great otherwise.
I just got the same problem. Did you solve it?
No, sadly the part will take three months to arrive!! Not happy to say the least. Very poor service for an otherwise great product.
I am hoping you have got some new samples. I have a matt vivid white small kitchen with Wolff ( mainly black and steel) cooking appliances which will be situated next to fridge. To make the kitchen look bigger and brighter I want a white fridge. Will the two different whites be a problem? Bench is a marble look with fawn veins.
Sorry I don't have the white fridge, I have the dark one as my kitchen is dark colours. I would suggest you go to Harvey Norman or a store near you that sell the fridges.
i have the white glass fridge in a matt white kitchen, looks great,
What price?
Hi Robyn,
We purchased as a package deal with our chosen Ilve oven. Package was $6500 which was an excellent price. We really shopped around and no one could beat Brisbane Appliance Sales
Sorry cannot remember. But they really are a fantastic fridge!
Think we managed to get this for around $4000 a couple of years ago
$3550 + detergent + clock radio + free delivery
Price matched Bing Lee promo pricing at Harvey Norman and negotiated extras
Veggie drawer is a dud! We have just purchased a Mitsubishi fridge and are very happy with it except for the vegetable drawer (which is why we chose this fridge in the first place - a big veggie drawer!) Nothing stays fresh and actually seems to rot really quickly. I never had this problem with our old Fisher and Paykel and I didn’t have to wrap anything in plastic. Very disappointing considering the money we paid. We’ve tried various settings and nothing works. Anyone else had this problem?
We have had our Mitsubishi about 2-3 months now. We live out of town & vegi shop once a fortnight, we have had no problem keeping our fruit & vegie's fresh. We have out Vegie section on HIGH. We put lettuce & greens in plastic bags, all the rest are left open. I can get a week out of bananas laying loose in the top tray. I hope you can sort out your problem. We are very happy with our Mitsubishi, especially the layout & ease of finding things quickly.
Thanks for the feedback. Looks like we'll have to get it checked out. Definitely not working well!
Think Mitsubishi was trying to be get a better energy rating here and put the temp of this drawer up by default. It sits on something stupid like 9C which is far too warm for any veggies. Put the temp down to the usual 4C and haven't had any issues. Have found the bags have helped as discussed above but definitely set up the temp to something much lower.
I just bought a Mitsubishi fridge, it has the same problem, AND... there is no temperature control for the vegetable drawer on this expensive new fridge. The drawer is at 6-7 degrees, the vegetables don't stand a chance in there (either in or out of clear plastic bags and tupperware).
Our new fridge does one beep about every 30 minutes, does anyone know how to silence this?
The fridge will beep if any door/drawer is not fully closed. I would suggest that there may be a seal that is not closing properly. A call on warranty would be the go here as it suggests that the fridge is not keeping its temperature. You would have of course checked the instruction manual to see if this matter is addressed, if not then call your supplier.
Is your unit showing 3 star eco? if not your unit may not be holding correct temp. maybe caused by a seal not sealing. Hence your beep. Ours does not do that.
I would call your supplier, You have 5 years warranty.
We purchased the 743L last week. I am abit confused as to how to use the versa compartment. Is it possible to use it as a normal freezer drawer, and if so , how do I set it using the icons on the operation panel? The same goes for the supercool chilling drawer.
If the versa drawer can't be used as a normal freezer, what sort of foods can be stored there, and for how long?
Thanks in advance for any assistance
Hi Anne Yes I use the versa drawer as a freezer drawer. Can't remember how I set it and not home for a few days to check. My friend uses it at fridge temperature and stores her bread. If once home I can look at the settings and help further I'll get back to you.
You can use it as a freezer. I use mine to freeze the kids ice bricks for their lunches. Hit the menu button which will bring up the settings icon and an icon of the fridge. Keep pressing the settings icon and it will highlight the different sections of the fridge until the versa draw is highlighted. When this happens another button with the word Setting appears. Press this button until the FRZ lettering appears. This is the freezer function. If you keep pressing the the SETTINGS button it will scroll through L, M & H which is the temp settings low, medium and high. The manual also shows what the icons look like and how to go about it as well.
We are looking at buying the 743L model over the 627L but have a question about space. I have read all the online dimensions and realise Mitsubishi sates you need 20mm clear on both sides so 840mm min. Can someone answer why the 743L needs 20mm clear but the 627L only needs 5mm? I have 827mm wide and was hoping that the 743L would still fit. We have more than enough room above for ventilation.
I would ask Mitsubishi - you always run the risk with manufacturers that if you do not follow their installation instructions they could use it to reject a warranty claim. However this will only have validity if they can show it contributed to the issue for which you make the claim. If they say OK (which I suspect they will not) then get it in writing. It is likely that the 743 has a larger motor/compressor and needs the extra cooling, but again ask Mitsubishi
My semi educated guess would be that as a larger capacity fridge it generates more heat overall - and so needs more space to vent. The way the doors open also means it tends to use that side space (both sides with a double door) a little - I don't know the 627 litre model, so I cannot say what happens with that one. The risk you run by limiting the clearance is the fridge may run hotter and affect the compressor, and maybe make it run noisier or longer than required (compared with having proper clearances). Also you may hit the sides with the door and limit its opening (unless you position the fridge proud of the recess). I measured my fridge - exactly 800mm wide at widest point. I felt for heat at the side of my fridge and felt nothing. But maybe that is because I have adequate clearance? You may get away with 827mm - if you have it positioned so the front of the fridge is approx 2 inches proud. Your call! As other post suggested - get Mitsubishi to put it in writing if they agree it is acceptable - but that may be a headache waiting to happen. Good luck.
Do I need to turn off the ice maker on my Mitsubishi MR-WXY743Y, when I go away
Hi, I guess it depends how long you are going away for. The manual has two options, see pg 24 to switch to Power Saver Mode which turns off the ice maker but leave the refrigerator turned on. See P32 if you propose to turn your refrigerator off at the power point, there is a procedure to follow to empty the water tank and clean out the ice draw. Manual can be found at: external link
Happy Holidays!
hi we have noticed a dark shadow appear on the main door behind the glass on our white fridge-is this a problem anyone else is having? It's 16months old. Cat
No also have white fridge?
2 years old
No not a problem on my white fridge 2 yr old
We have had one of these fridges for 15 months, the other one for only 5 months.
We have had no issue at all with the problem you describe. I would be calling Mitsubishi as it would still be under warranty.
Just seen this appear as well. Think ours is around 2 years old and have noticed it in the last couple of months
Just had our MR-WX743Y installed 24 hours ago. Having trouble making ice. It was slow to start but then it was making ice as it should. I topped up the water level on the tank so it would keep ice coming. But now the single star is flashing and no ice is being produced. Please help. Thanks
Hi, if you want quick ice you have to put fast freeze, it resets to normal after 6 hours. The ice drops into back of tray once it is full AT BACK it stops making. So you need to move ice forward away from back. I put ice in freezer if I am expecting people since drawer stops making when getting full. At full blast the water will be emptied in 24 hours so need to fill every 24 hours if you are blasting it.
Hi Buzz, The fridge will detect if the ice drawer is full and stop making ice, as Flemming has stated. If you want more, just transfer some to the freezer, top up the jug and it will start producing more ice.
The other thing you can do is make the pile of ice flat and the sensor at the back of the drawer might determine there's enough room to produce more.
Cheers,
