But I can not find one! Does any one know of a place that sells these? Is there a humidity control on the vegetable section?
This fridge is fabulous but I believe it is now an outdated model. The newer Mitsubishi fridges have different dimensions and they also have a special light in the vegetable area which keeps everything fresh for even longer than my fridge does, and it is already amazing. My sister has one of the newer ones and is very pleased with it. From my experience, Mitsubishi fridges are well worth the money from every angle - electricity consumption, noise levels, usable space, lighting and most importantly, for excellent food storage. Do check out Appliances Online and Betta Electrical. Good luck in your search.
Give Mitsubishi a call it is the best fridge I have ever owned they should advise you as you should still be able to buy even though they brought out a new model
Finally got this fridge yesterday, 574L, and I must say I’m very disappointed that my fridge is not as quiet as others are saying. We can clearly hear it above TV, it’s an L shape living room/kitchen so there’s a bit of distance between TV and fridge. Is something wrong with it?
Maybe it is working very hard today because you have just fully loaded it up? Mine is in an open plan kitchen/family area. Our dining table is only 1 metre away and the sofa 3-4 metres away and we can't hear the fridge at all, even when standing right next to it. I do not use the ice maker but believe that can make noise while operating. Make sure the fridge is level and see how it is tomorrow. If it is noisy contact Mitsubishi Electric. Good luck!
I know it says 15dB noise level but is it really that quiet?
Im sorry but I couldn't answer this objectively as I haven't had it tested. The only time I hear any noise from this fridge is when it fills the ice cube tray up it makes a small amount of noise when it dispenses. Noise isn't an issue for us as the fridge is in the back of the house - maybe if I was living in a one bedroom unit with the fridge near by I would judge it differently. I would definitely recommend this fridge as it has so mush internal room for the small exterior space. The crisper section is phenomenal and keeps the fruit and vegies crisp for a long time. I hope this helps.
Why is the vegetable drawer on the bottom, I am wondering whether it might be inconvenient to have to bend over so much for one of the most used spaces in the fridge Thanks
I personally don't find it an issue.
something has to be on the bottom :)
I’m looking for a new fridge and I’m reading everyone’s review but I’m so surprised this is the first time someone has mentioned the elephant in the room. We are a family that are health-conscious and eat a lot of fruit and vegetables, why on earth would they put them on the bottom shelf! Surely the freezer should have gone on the bottom? I’m happy to spend this kind of money on a good fridge and I love the 5 year warranty etc but I am in a wheelchair and I don’t think my husband is going to be one bit happy about all this bending over - very odd design!
If the freezer was on the bottom, the ICE and quick chill drawers would also have to move in tandem (they both rely on the freezer).
I'm having trouble understanding the temp controls can anyone tell me what I would fine tune the fridge to to make it super cold please?

What does the blue stars mean that come on when you open the doors of the fridge
Hi, we only have a cavity that has a height of 1710mm. We have a ventilation in our house that applies positive pressure. Would this fridge/freezer be ok with the reduced 14mm height clearance, or would it compromise the performance and warranty?
I notice in the specification , it said require 25mm for clearance on height , whats that ? as i only got 1710
Mitsubishi would specify a minimum height for a reason. I should think that you'd be in trouble if you wanted to make a warranty claim related to the consequences of inadequate ventilation.
I just bought this fridge, and my icecream maker bowl will not fit in the freezer! Is it ok to use the freezer without the upper shelf?
I haven’t done this but I’d be extremely surprised if the removal of the upper shelf (carefully) would compromise the function of the freezer. However, Mitsubishi would be the best source of advice.
I am having trouble with the ice cube maker, In what position is the ice tray lock lever supposed to be in to get ice?
Model of Fridge is MR-EX574X
Hi Kym, Yes, the ice tray lock lever needs to be locked to make ice. Please refer to page 26 of the user manual for more information, and page 17 to enable ice makingL external link Kind regards, Mitsubishi Electric Australia Support.
