Hi. Have the volume up as high as it goes but the units are still extremely quiet. Can this be increased some how??

Hello I have to uhf2500. Issue is even in highest volume they are very quiet. Will adding an external mic/ speaker increase the volume. And are all handheld mic / speaker jacks compatible?

is the oricom 2500 hand held a better unit than the oricom 2920 hand held in range and speaker sound?

The UHF2500 is 2 Watt and waterpoof, whereas the UHF2190 is 2 Watt (not waterproof). Both have a listed range of up to 10km. All the best, Oricom Baby Care.

Wondering how suitable this model is for kids? It seems a bit large and heavy and maybe tricky to use? Keen to set it to a sub channel and maybe DCS advanced digital code to prevent them from picking up other channels.

I like that it is waterproof and more powerful over for example the Uniden UH45 which seems to be designed with kids in mind.

My kids are 5 and 8.

Keen to hear some thoughts, or better even experiences.

Hi Berry, the UHF2500 is a little larger and is a 2 Watt radio. The radio in the oricom range that we would recommend for that age group is the PMR795BL as per the link below. It is however, not waterproof. All the best, Oricom.
