Is it true that Rapid tune customers have claimed they have been defrauded by having to pay up to 5 times the normal price for automobile repairs even after the promised new replacement parts have been second hand used parts?

Hi Mark, thanks for checking in. We understand how worrying claims like this can sound. This isn’t accurate and is not consistent with our standards. We provide clear, pre‑approved quotes and itemised invoices, and we do not install second‑hand parts while charging for new.

If you have any details we can review - vehicle info, date of service, invoice number, and which Rapid Tune store, we’d love the chance to look into it right away and help. Please contact us via our website external link  and one of our Customer Care team will look into the matter for you.

It’s strange cos about 4 years ago I bought a voucher. Everything went perfect plus the other more minor items shown on it were also done. The actual garage locations and phone numbers are on the voucher (here in Brisbane anyway) The voucher is about 2/3 size of an A4). Only yesterday they door knocked me again so I rang the local garage itself to check (it was same one I used before and it was same guy). He confirmed all will be done again and that there is no time limit .

You have been scammed by the scam marketers, I've been trying to get my refund for 2 months. Rapid tune hires a dodgy company called dark horse marketing to facilitate. Rapid tune will take no responsibility or refund your money.

If the reviews are monitored by rapid tune automotive services representatives, why don’t you respond to the bad reviews? The ones you can be bothered replying to, you say there’s not records of their car. Don’t you think you should look after customers, especially ones you rip off $3000 and then ignore when something is wrong and have left me in such a bad position, especially after telling Chris from derrimut that I’m in financial hardship because of family violence. Absolutely disgusting. And to be ignored, what kind of heartless souls do you have working there?

My son took his Jeep to Rapid tune for a road worthy which they did. Before this the car never broke down> Since the road worth it has had the Alternator stuffed up then after getting that fixed it broke down again now they say it is the ECU. Is this all just a coincident or something else.

Do rapid tune use 2nd hand parts?

Halli
Halli

They do! And not good second hand parts either. Derrimut store charged me $3000 for a complete new rear diff. When I picked it up, there was something wrong with it. Chris wouldn’t answer my calls or emails. I had to take it to another mechanic and as I suspected , it wasn’t a new diff at all, I hardly drove it not even 10kms and the new diff assembly needed new wheel bearings ANd two wheel studs. So In short, they dof
