Why is the Remington Compact Pro 2100 Hairdryer exterior sticky ? It does not relate to any hair products used as this dryer was a standby so hardly used. It appears the actual material of the dryer is breaking down ??

Hi there, i own a Remington compact Pro 2100 hair dryer it work totally fine function wise and i like it, but strangely every time i use it whole dryer get sticky and it doesn't go away even i tried to wipe it as i remember its like tht from the beginning ... I feel bit afraid to use it now
Yes, my Remington Compact Pro 2100 hairdryer has done the same thing. Tried to wipe with warm water & dish liquid as recommended on internet but the whole exterior is still sticky which is not comfortable to use.
