S26 Gold Comfort Questions & Answers
VerifiedHi I bought my baby milk S26 gold comfort just realized that the milk is coming different inside. First it was creamy off white then the 2nd time I bought it was white. What’s going on ?
Hi Tezmone S. our baby was born in Oct '24 and we have been using the older S26 gold comfort you identify as creamier and off-white. It has a Blue scoop. We got concerned when the packaging was different on our 3rd Tin purchase, and so was the content: Much whiter, less creamy, larger white scoop and extremely less dense. Baby did not like it. Aware that the company had recently changed names, I went to a couple of shops and bought some 8 if not 10 of the older ones (sad to realise they only came in 900g sizes). He went through his 4 months smoothly.
I went back recently to buy some more and the packaging is, again different. It looks a little like the original Tin except for some color difference. Unfortunately, the content is the new one that our baby hated.
We thought he would get used to it but no lunch. He has been having increasing reflux over the 1 Tin of this new batch and, yesterday, almost all of what went in came out.
Despite the declaration that the formulation has not changed on the can, everything points to that it has. We see it, baby tastes it, baby's body refuses it. We realise the last of the old batch was produced in November 2023. Unfortunately can't find it in any of the retailers around (Clicks, Dischem, Checkers, Makro, PnP, Baby City, Little Me).
Sad we have to search for a new formula now. Baby liked the other and had no dietary issues.
Since changing from S26 gold to comfort baby very nausea and refusing to drink this milk ?

Hi my little one is almost 4 weeks old and has been on s26 gold comfort since 11days old. His poo is extremely loose dark green in colour and has a really sour smell. He also seems to have tummy pain at times and pushes really hard to pass wind or looks like he is pooing. Is this normal for this formula ?
Hiya,
I wouldn't know the answer to that as all babies are different. If you're worried I would highly recommend taking your baby to the doctor and getting them a check up.
Yeah I think it would be wise to seek professional help. You might need to find a formula that's lactose intolerant but definitely seek a Dr's advice for that first! Hope that helps
The mixed formula doesn't look like other formulas. It looks like seperated or curdy . Is it normal?
Are you using cold water?
My son is 5 weeks old. I use s26 comfort at night so he sleeps and I can get shut eye. The 3 times he has had it no issues but tonight he had his first bottle was fine then second bottle he threw it all up. Should I continue with this product? I have tried nan comfort he hated it, cried a lot, was constipated, very unsettled.
Hi my has been on s 26 comfort since 4weeks and hes still having it now with a mix of cows milk hes now 15months .. Have u tried to make the 2nd bottle smaller? I think u should try 1 bigger bottle and maybe one or two smaller ones . I have had that moment with my son before ..when he was littler he keeps sucking because its soothing but is tummy is actually full..so then he would throw up..
We had a lot of trouble with other formulas too
Maybe try for another week see how u go ..
Hi Rim, maybe you should wait and see how he goes, the Dr told me that you shouldn't swap formulas too often you need to give it at least a week. I would ask your dr or health care if you are concerned. I personally found S26 Lactose Free the one that worked best for me, however my son is not lactose intolerant.
Maybe he has had too much?
