Hi Dana H. Thanks for your question. The Britax Safe-n-Sound Super Safeguard was a 0-4 year car seat however, has been discontinued for quite some time now. Britax recommends that products which exceed ten years past the date of manufacture should no longer be used. Kind regards, the Britax Childcare team.

How large is this seat? would it be okay for a smaller car?

The Super Safeguard is a generous size seat. Our most compact seats are the Compaq and Compaq DLX.

We would suggest that you test the seat in your vehicle before buying. Most baby shops will allow you to do this.
