Hi I wish to buy a complete 5 bedroom household of bedroom linen that is not made in mainland China , please advise me of the current situation with Sheridan , I'm happy for manufacturing anywhere else although would prefer to source Australian made.
I wouldn't buy Sheridan sheets as the quality is not what it used yo be. Everything is made in China, now, unfortunately.
Thanks Traveller, That's a bugger as I've moved to the country and all of my not so local shops Harvey Norman , Snooze etc only sell Mainland Chinese, it also appears that any quality Australian production is located in Melbourne which is locked down at the moment and have a long order backlog.
These very negative reviews point to the fact that the Sheridan brand which I have purchased for more than 25 years is no longer the same quality. In fact the quality is appalling so much so that I will never purchase another Sheridan product. My question is what are the manufacturers going to do about this sorry state?
Helen Larkey I totally agree with you I have purchased Sheridan sheets for over 30 years I was willing to pay the high price for the excellent quality in fact I wouldn’t buy anything else but the last two sets of sheets I have bought are not worth the money the high quality is a thing of the past. The pillow cases especially are all skew-whiff I’m so disappointed but like you I won’t ever purchase another Sheridan product.
Just bought a SHERIDAN ADKINS 700TC SHEET SET and after washing for the first time, they've turned into sandpaper they're so coarse. Is this normal as they my older sheets that they replaced never did this?

I bought 3 x sets of white Adkin sheets almost 8 years ago for my Airbnb - they are still looking and feeling great! However , I bought admins in the cream colour for home about 5 years ago and they went in the bin ages ago! Bottom sheets just wore so thin so quickly ams they actually never felt the same as the white one ! Completely different quality, texture and feel . I paid $149 in 2015 for king Adkin - now they are over $300 and poor quality! What’s happening Sheridan??
Hi, just checking if this is normal. My ultra cool doona arrived yesterday and as soon as I unzipped it I noticed a strong bad smell. Not sure why or if anything wrong, thought a good wash would sort it out. When I took it off the line after a day in the sun, I noticed little black spots all over it... I thought it must be the cotton itself, but now wondering if it’s mould? Anyone else experienced this? Thanks in advance. Not sure what to think or do.. at least it doesn’t smell anymore,

I’ve bought many items from Sheridan, my question is where in China are they made? It concerns me that like target and many other companies your products are being made from detained wegers. People need to be aware and avoid any products being sold from companies that are controlled by the ccp and slaved wegers
Sorry Elaine. not quite sure where they are made just know that they are not the standard that Sheridan always have I have had 3 pair all did the same. Not good quality wherever they are made.

Did you email them? I went through the same thing at roughly the same time and they were good to rectify the problem, even though they made another mistake by sending a sheet set. They did do the right thing, they also allowed me to keep the $460 sheet set. Remember at the time it was in the middle of the pandemic and they were being smashed with orders.
Haven't brought Sheridan in years due to cost. However after buying multiple sheet sets in the past couple of years all on sale and all originally over $100 . 5 cotton (2 organic) all sets are crap and have shrunk or got balls on them. Way too thin. Thought I go back to Sheridan who we all knew as the best or so I thought. So where to now. Maybe I should save up to go to Europe seen as Australia only sells crap these days. Europeans don't buy rubbish including the so called Linen made in China. Or is there someone else. Kmart would be on my list but I have a mega queen mattress. Please help????

As one has stated in my review on here, just have a look at all these reviews, SEE how your brandname is 'going to the doghouse'. Again, don't see anyone in here from Sheridan answering questions or even bothering to take time out to explain themselves...

500TC sheets.. does anyone have them in the 'Charcoal' colour and what are they like? Feeling them in the packet, the Charcoal do not seem to feel as soft as the 'White' ones..
Hi. I've just bought a Sheridan silk pillow case, the so called tailored one. I have just tried it on my regular size pillow. i.e. a standard size before I wash it according to instructions. It seems to fit very loosely as if it is slightly too big for the pillow. Do you know if this is how it should fit? I figure if it is too loose it will crease during sleep and so cause even more face lines.
I bought it at David Jones so should be OK to return it if need be, IF I can repackage it properly.

Hi there, I find that I use quite full pillows so there isn't too much excess fabric on the pillowcases. That said, unless the pillow is absolutely swimming in fabric, I wouldn't see that it should be too much of a problem as the pillow cases are quite slippery and loose fabric should just fall away to the side or bottom. I hope that helps!
Thank you for responding. Since my post I checked out other brands but decided to go with the David Jones one after all. I'm told now that silk needs to have some give in it and that's the reason for the loose fit. I did however go back to David Jones to change it from the 'sand' colour to the one called 'snow' and had no trouble with the exchange. Good old David Jones.

What has happened to Sheridan quality? I got Sheridan dooner covers from 1980s still good quality and I still enjoy them ,I have been getting dooner covers in recent times, and the quality is not there anymore , the studs on the bottom don't close,leaving the dooner to come out and unattractive.
Sheridan used to be made in Australia.
Now they have them made is India or Pakistan and the quality is not the same sadly.
We are all disappointed! The price is still high, but the quality is low! :(
