Hi Christina, I have a dash cam to the left of the rearview mirror on my car and tag on the right. At the top, my dash cam protrudes 2.5 cm from the windscreen and 4.25cm at the bottom. The screen is held in place by the visors and works perfectly well. It isn’t a snug fit to the windscreen but is SO much better than the previous one I had. It makes a significant difference to the internal heat in the car. I hope this helps. Jenni

Hi Christina, generally we make allowance around the rear vision mirror for such devices as well as to ensure the shade can be easily installed. The shade also does not need to necessarily be flush to the glass as the sun visors hold the shade in place. I hope this clarifies.

Hi Karen, I don’t have a dog so I’m not sure. The shades are just connected via magnet so depending on the weight of your dog and whether they are trained to not scratch or out paws on windows it would likely vary.

Hi Karen, thanks for your question! Our rear door shades are held in place by high-strength magnets embedded in the frame (with magnetic mounts included where the window trim is non-magnetic), so they sit firmly in the window. With a dog in the back seat, the main thing to keep in mind is paws or claws directly on the mesh — as with any fabric shade. The mesh is durable, but if a pet leans or scratches against it the shade could be knocked out of position or marked over time. Plenty of customers use them with pets without issue. Hi mell, not a silly question at all! For our rear side door window shades, a pair means two shades — one for each side (left and right). The product page for your specific vehicle always lists exactly what's included in each set, so it's worth checking the listing for your model. Hi Mark, the magnetic mounts adhere using an automotive grade 3m adhesive tape. When it comes to removing, the magnetic mounts are easy to remove with a little force. To make it easier to remove, remove on a hot day or heat up the mounts slightly. They generally do not leave any residue on the surface. If there is a little tape residue left behind, it can easily be removed with alcohol wipes. We have not had any issues with damage to leather door trims. I hope this clarifies.

Hi Meg, we do sell spare parts on our website. Were these the ones you are looking for? external link  We recommend preparing the surface well by wiping the area (multiple times) with alcohol wipes, then wipe over with a clean microfibre cloth, before attempting to adhere the mounts. Once used, the mounts will not stick well so you will need to use new mounts. I hope this helps.

It will only block heat from the sides, they don’t go over the rear windscreen

Hi Jenny, thanks for reaching out and sorry for the hassle! Our front windscreen shades sit within the windscreen area held in place by your sun visors, so they don't sit flush against the glass — which means most dash cams mounted near the rear-view mirror can sit behind the shade rather than needing to poke through it. Depending on your dash cam's position, repositioning the shade slightly or adjusting the camera mount often does the trick. Hi Andrew, visibility out of your windows does depend on various factors such as angle, tinting and lighting. The mesh material is directional so you can change the shades from left to right and vice versa to see if that helps. They are not specifically marked left or right as they work on both rear door windows. We have also updated our material to increase visibility lately. This might solve your issue.

Hi Alicia, that is an excellent question. You will need to install the shades in the correct direction as the weave of the material is direction hence there will be a left and a right shade for your car. On top of that, there is always going to be a reduction of vision while using a shade. There is a ratio for protection and vision and we chose 84.6% as it needs to provide sufficient protection or there isn't really a point of a shade. Factors that change vision is the angle you sit at, the design of the vehicle, the height of the driver, the weather, window tinting etc.

Car window shades are not illegal as window sox have been around since 1988, we have refined the installation and increased visibility of an existing product on the market.

Unlike other companies, we provide 30 days return policy so that customers can test the shades out. If they are too dark for you liking and you are within the 30 days return period, please contact us with your order number to arrange a refund.

On my car the there is tape on 1 side of the magnets, which is stuck to door frame on the bottom section which is leather on my car and top is metal. Tape similar to 3M double sided. Magnet used to connect bracket/clip to actual sunshade. This allows you to take sunshade out when not required very easily.
