Can you use a 25" bar on this saw that came with a 16" bar ?

No. I wouldn't consider using a saw with less than a 60cc engine (70+ cc would be better) for a bar that long. The Stihl MS230 has a 40cc engine.

Don't make them anymore The new equivalent is the 231.. Ask a dealer ,but shop around or wait for specials...
