Suzuki Ignis MF (2017-2026) Questions & Answers
VerifiedAlso referred to as: Suzuki Ignis MF 2025 and Suzuki Ignis MF 2027.Why My brand new car - on collection from the dealer - was sold to me with a known fault is beyond comprehension. Why is it taking so long to get a replacement headset? The radio changes station by itself at will, and if you're listening to podcasts the volume will fade in and out ensuring you miss chunks of content. My 2023 Ignis GLX is fast approaching its first birthday and still no replacement in sight. It was months before they even bothered to have a look for the serial number on the rear of the unit and even called the car in twice to get that.
Hello. Wondering what the towing capacity for the Ignis is? I don't seem to be able to find any info for this. thanks K
Does this car have enough power to carry 4 adult passengers driving at 100 - 110 klm /hr on the freeway? How will it perform going up steep hills with the same no of passengers and at what speeds? Is the Vehicle capable of handling an interstate trip with 4 adults, driving at common speed limits? Is the boot big enough to fit a large travel bag without any seat movement?
I have a 2021 manual. A great car in every aspect except very underpowered on expressway hills. I found it a lot safer to drop it down a couple of gears and follow trucks up hills than try and accelerate around them. Super smooth little motor and slick gearbox. Needs a turbo.

How smooth are the gear changes on the manual Ignis? I've heard some people criticise Suzuki gearboxes, especially the change into second (either from 1st or 3rd). I remember my very first Swift more than 3 decades ago did the same thing, but I would have thought the company should have solved such gearbox issues long ago.
When I first saw this I actually had to stop and think.I had not noticed any particular problem, but I waited til I went out again so I could actually concentrate on that particular feature. In my case I have no issue whatsoever with the gear changes.Driving the Ignis has been fun for me right from the start.
