Is it possible to fill in a claim form online, without printing out the claim form?

Hi I am a teacher and looking at transferring from Medibank Private where I have been for over 30 years to THF, however there seems to be so many negative comments in the reviews. This is not real reassuring when you are about the change cover from a fund you have been in for many years.
Regards Catherine
They don’t seem to be answering Marc or your queries?
I am looking to swap over too but comments seem a bit off-putting.
Hi Melissa and Catherine, thanks for your comment, it's a fair point and we've shared it with our team. Teachers Health covers over 370,000 people. Regarding our Product Reviews, we can share (and you can see) that so far this year, we've received a total of 15 reviews (both positive and negative). We take all, in particular the negative reviews very seriously and actively seek to improve our member experience with the valuable feedback.
Our very first Product Review arrived in August of 2014 and we now have a total of 150 Product Reviews, an average of 16.6 reviews per year. Compared with a quick search of our competitors, this is a significantly smaller total number and rate, not to mention a very small portion of our total member base.
For Hospital and Extras, we're proud that our overall membership retention rate was over 96% last financial year, which you can see in our Annual Report here (p. 5) external link .
PrivateHealth.gov.au also shares the performance of all health funds, stacked against an industry average. For FY22 our hospital cover retention rate was 92.4%, which is above the industry average of 88.6%. external link .
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please send us a direct message or email social@teachershealth.com.au with your details and I'd be happy to organise a phone call for you! :)
Hope that helps. Thanks! Miriam
Has anyone switched from Bupa (Advantage Hospital/Silver extras) to the Teachers Health Fund? I've tried previously to compare the two but it's a very complicated task. Bupa is costing me a packet. I'm a teacher, so I could do this move.
I am unable to offer anything about Bupa, sorry. I have compared one or two other funds with the intention of moving to another fund, but owing to having built up loyalty benefits for years' of service, with higher benefits paid to me if the need arose, I would lose these higher benefits if I was to leave Teachers Health.
Hi there, We can help compare your current health product with an equivalent Teachers Health product. We will provide you with a personalised, side-by-side comparison of the cost and benefits from each product. Just fill in this form on our website: external link
Thanks -THF
