Valvoline SynPower Questions & Answers
Why is this oil recomended by a diesel specialist , but not the actual engine manufacturer
Most of the manufacturers have their own (brand) expensive engine oils specifically designed to suit their engine needs and designs. But at the same time, lub manufacturers too do their research and maybe come out with better oil. A diesel specialist may have used and experienced the better facts of the oil just like me.
does valvoline synpower 5w 40 have a fiat manufactures spec
Does Valvoline Syn Power Fully Synthetic 5W-40 comply with Ford Specification WSS-M2C 913-B? Is this oil compatable with other diesel oils?? I am currently driving a 2013 SZ Ford Territory diesel and wish to standardise the oil in each of my vehicles.
Thanks for a reply

Hi Keith. I had the same problem finding out myself. some things vehicle manufacturers don't want u to know. wonderful thing the internet. google Vavoline passenger car motor oil and click on which lubricant is right for me. also Penrite has a good spec site. it gives u the compliance for WSS-M2C913 A B and C. u might even try nulon. I found most of this out by sheer accident and it sort of evolved from a site called, what motor oils meet Ford specifications WSS-M2C9-B. I have a 2013 fiesta. hope this helps.
Thanks Dave. I will follow this up on the net. Another Ford Dealer told me they only use Castrol Edge Diesel oil., another said they use Shell Ultra. I guess the bottom line is They will use anything that they can buy cheap. Thanks again

Keith
