Vitamix A2500i Ascent Questions

HI there, I have just bought a Vitamix Ascent 2500i and it doesn't start when I push the start button down, sometimes it takes a long press followed by other presses to get it to finally start.... I see other people on youtube just pushing the start button and the machine starts straight away ... help!

It definitely is unique isn't it! The press style that works for me is: press the button downwards until the button lever goes no further and then hold in that position until the desired action takes place. I leave the speed dial on smoothie, so when I turn the machine on, the screen shows dashes. Its then one press and hold until the time shows 50 (secs), then another press and hold until the machine starts.

Hi,

I have been struggling with E17 and E18 error. Can you please advice how to fix in a step wise process? Also, what should I do to avoid getting it? This is the most frustrating aspect of this wonderful machine. Also the machine does not detects the jars many time. How do I fix it? I love when it works but it’s just not reliable.
