While it lasted, it did a very good job - reasonably quiet and efficient. Able to provide cooling at the 44 degrees my Canberra suburb reached this… Read more

year, and OK with heating down to the -8 degrees we've seen (although it had to turn off for up to perhaps 20% of the time to defrost the outside unit). The unit has weekly timer control as well as daily, but it is clunky and tricky to set, and needs resetting whenever there is a power failure. HOWEVER it failed after 5 years and 10 months with a seized compressor. The repair cost was about the same as buying a new one, and the warranty service was unable to offer any support as it was beyond the 5 year warranty. Using a moderator service did not produce any change, so it was a waste of my time. To me, such a major equipment failure after such a short time is poor, makes the value for money really bad, and not what a reasonable person would expect. These are why I have given it a low rating - essentially, the company is not prepared to stand behind its product once the 5 year warranty has expired, when you are on your own.

Wouldn't buy again due to the service. We have the DXK09ZSA and it started making a clicking noise around 18 months in, only when on Cooling, not any… Read more

other setting.

I went through the warranty and they sent someone out (who used to work for Mitsubishi and has since started up his on aircon repair business) who couldn't see the problem to start, then saw one small bit of mould and said "ah, that'll do it". He did say it was a bit odd that mould is only in the one area (also this machine is regularly cleaned like all our others) and he basically blamed the sparky for not filling in the wall cavity and that's how the moisture/mould is getting in and what has caused a piece to break?

I have never known mould (which every machine accumulates in QLD regardless how much you clean it) to break a piece inside the machine before. So, I had to pay the call out fee. Now for him to replace the part, ANOTHER call out fee would have to be paid and the labour/parts.

Anyway, its left a sour taste in my mouth and won't be purchasing another Mitsubishi aircon unit again.

We purchased our house in 2023 with a Daikin unit in the living area that must have been cleaned for id say 10 years and that works perfectly, even more so when we had it deep cleaned. Disappointed that a unit so new has developed a broken part due to apparently one spot of mould...

Honestly sounded like the guy just wanted money for his newly started business... never again.

warranty. I paid out of pocket to get it fixed; the fault was a defective part. I asked for reimbursement of the reasonable repair costs under the ACL - declined - and when escalated, they stopped engaging. Terrible service, have escalted to Dept of Fair Trading.

Did my research and am not disappointed. Quick to cool. A 1-2 hour run at night keeps the room cool all night. Easy to maintain. Older units are running 7 years strong without incident.

15.2kW ducted aircon – Had a slight hiccup at first but it was resolved and the unit works great.

Short service life – We have the above mentioned aircon system new when house was built, plus a smaller 2.0kw system. The 5kw unit only gets used during summer in the… Read more

lounge room. The unit has now failed with a 6 flash fault, which is either power or PCB board fault. Pretty disappointed as the unit is just over 5 years old. Was really expecting at least a 10 year life from these.

Great – super quite, needed to add streamers to outlets to know it was running

Our house has never been the same – We live in an older house which has un-insulated walls. The 7kW aircon we had would slog it's guts out all summer and barely cool the house down.… Read more

Once we extended the house we had to move this aircon so our electrician suggested the ceiling cassette Mitsubishi at 10kW. This was a little overkill for what we needed but my goodness! The house is cool through Summer & warm as toast when we need it. I love it!

The recommendation lived up to my expectations – This particular air conditioning unit was suggested to me by the installer. I took the advice and to date I have not regretted it.
