I found it to be a very easy product to use when preparing food!
Best Slicer Ever! Bar None!! – I have had one of these V Slicers for over 20 years so feel more than qualified to review it. It is exceptional, convenient, practical, light weight,… Read more
easy to clean and although a have a kitchen FULL of ‘Bells and Whistles’ this is always my first go to. A must for all kitchens. It is extremely sharp so I never use it without the safety food holder, you WILL cut yourself if you don’t. If you haven’t got one, go and get one, you’ll love it!
5/5 for grater but only 3/5 for durability – This is the best and fastest grater I have ever used, especially for carrot and hard cheese and similar textured foods. It cuts the food in fine… Read more
julienne bits that are nice and clean without half the food sticking to the grater. I would rather forgo grated carrot altogether if I couldn't use this grater as it make the job so much easier. It comes with a small plastic piece for gripping the food item which is recommended as you can grate your knuckles if you're too close to the blades as it is quite sharp, though personally I try to be careful but have still had a few cuts. Extremely fast and easy. Though the blades are stainless steel and are still sharp they are held in plastic and this is the part of it that breaks and wears out over time if used (I use it a lot in summer for salads). They also have silicone bits on the corners which will come off in time (and have ended up in my food!). Had the rest of it been made in stainless steel or something more durable this could well of become a "forever kitchen item". I have bought 2 over the last decade and attempted to buy another (because the plastic housing broke) but unfortunately this exact same style is no longer available with a newer model style combining the julienne grating blade with another grating option - I have not gone for this as I have no need for the other grating option and it looks like there will be more stress on the plastic and it may break quicker in my opinion. It is a shame that such an efficient product is made in a way that it still can fall apart. These have cost me approx $28-$30 so not really cheap. I find microplane graters just okay for other foods but they still macerate carrot or other veg. I have found that this type of grater is called a Korean or Ukrainian grater as I am trying to find another to replace my broken one.
Great but short-life – As many have found, Microplane is great, better than many graters before. But it is not durable. Don't know whether it is planned obsolescence. … Read more
Mine disintegrated after a few years (using about once or twice a week for Parmesan), with the plastic frame first to go, then the very thin metallic foil began to split. For what the grater does, which is a relatively simple task, it is expensive (A$25-$50). For the price, there has to be some grater out there which does a equally good but lasts a lot longer.
Great kitchen gadget – I have had mine for 10 plus years and use it often. Veggies are my go too. Like the option for different thickness and love no extra gadgets. Anything lower than a 4 would be user error. Clean up is a breeze, also. Show details
Don’t bother if you like sweet potato chips – Don’t bother using it to make sweet potato chips as if will break! Tried getting replacement blades from VGM International (supplier listed on box) who apparently don’t exist anymore so now this useless item will be going to landfill. Show details
Makes grating super easy and fast – Grates all hard vegis and cheeses perfectly and if you are careful, even things like capsicum if you keep it in the right position. Not super flimsy… Read more
plastic and everything fits together without issue.
I purchased this product to help with grating since I cannot grip things easily and have issues with my hands. Unfortunately the knob for the suction and the lock for the barrel require a lot of finger strength making it unsuitable for anyone with issues with fingers and hands. The suction base doesn't work on wood or any surface that isn't sleek. Thankfully everything is sharp enough that not using the suction base doesn't heavily impact use.
Washing up is relatively easy although things do get stuck in the plastic edging of the different cutting barrels.
The product didn’t do what I needed it too. But Vanilyn from customer service was such a help, fast response, friendly and she really helped. Thank you Vanilyn. Kind regards Anna Show details
Flimsy Slider – Found the slider a bit flimsy and doesn't hold securely in place. Have accidentally pushed it into the blade and damaged it. Pity as otherwise it is a good slicer. Show details
It does not cut Zoodles . so disappointed – The Slices are not cut through - left with fringe ..... did the designer actually make chips or noodles?????? It costs too much in postage to return it. Show details

the slicer - not mentioned in the Danoz ad. Found it to be excellent for block cheese, which I put in the hopper. Fingers never go near the blade, which is great. Great for block cheese. Safe for fingers only the fact that there was no manual included in the box

wasn't bad at all. The spirals with carrot were pretty short but I got better with practice. Cucumber was quick and easy and I anticipate zucchini will be good too. You do need to apply pressure as you turn so it might be a bit difficult for someone with arthritis or a disability. This is a good option if you aren't wanting to produce large volumes - then I would look at an electric machine. But this does very nicely for smaller quantities. It comes with 2 sizes of spiral blades and a grating blade. That you are cutting the vegetable into a container makes it really easy to clean up. I previously had the Zyliss sprialiser and I didn't find that very successful. This one is a lot better. It seems to make carrot more attractive in the school lunch too.

complaining my husband gave it a try - same result - no sliced or julienned food. The food holder is a terrible design. This item was $99 when I bought it.

you apply a little pressure to the handle of the cheese to be grated, due to the gap between the rotor and the clip that holds it. The components used for construction feel like a children's plastic toy. I purchased Ariete Grati' in the past which is a completely different construction of much better quality. terrible product
Terrible – Do not buy as it does not work! Not smooth, grates as slices, chunks off cheese at the end of the slice to slice is stuck on the plane. Took back to shop as it doesn't do what it should. Show details
Fit only for the rubbish bin – Totally agree with the earlier review and am cursing myself for not checking here before I bought it. The blades are soooo blunt they cant cut the skin so you are left with a huge mess. Show details
Plastic bits in your food – You use the finger guide to feed the vegetables across the slicer, but when you get down low, green plastic bits go into the food from the finger guide. Emailed the maker with photos, out of warranty, no acknowledgement or response.
