of felling a 5 metre tree in a confined area, I was able to just lop it down bit by bit. It only takes 5 minutes to refit chain but still annoying - doesn't happen to my other chainsaws. Partly a result of having less control of movement at height I suppose but also cheaper parts ). I'll add a video when I get a chance.
Does as awesome job – Easy to use. Quick start up, fits SDS tools so it makes it easy to buy things for it. Its a 2 in 1 tool. Which is awesome as i can leave this a jack hammer or a hammer drill Show details

we needed with it.
We had 5 holes needing to be dug to 1 metre. In Victorian clay, this machine struggled. We managed to get to around 600mm, but from there we manually dug. Even to the 600 point it was time consuming and physically taxing.
One thing I did find was the extra 'tip' that screws onto the ends of the auger attachments does not self-drill. which means the cutting blades aren't hitting the soil. Once I managed to get these tips back off, it was a lot better.
For us, with our soil, it was a two-person job. I don't regret the purchase, and do believe it gave us a pretty good start. It certainly has its limits, which is good to keep in mind.
Tried writing a review on the Edison's website (where I purchased this), but they didn't publish it! Might explain why there are so many 5 star reviews there.

Light weight, good value – light weight, it does the job. Only downside is that battery only lasts 20 min, but I guess it is reflected in the price. Overall good value

model.
The disappointing reality is that I am lucky to get 10 - 12 minutes of continuous use between BOTH batteries. Forget about 'quick charge' from the extremely flimsy charger as it takes at least 3 hours before you will get the green light. To add insult to injury, you will then struggle to remove the battery from the charger due to the charger being both extremely light and smaller than the battery.
This unit is probably OK for a quick sweep of the paths and driveway but don't expect it to do any serious work.

eBay and now it easily rip cuts 30 mm hard wood and tracks perfectly. The only problem was the table didn't return to a square right angle. After adjusting the depth of the stop bolt and a bit of persuasion I solved that problem. This is a good light duty band saw and with new blade and a bit of tweaking it has done some amazing things for me, eg ..it easily cut tapered legs in 30 mm tassy hard wood for 3 shaker tables. The blade still tracks straight.

the low end of the market My first foray into mitre saws, some 6 years ago, found me purchasing (with some trepidation) an Ozito 210mm compound saw. It turned out to be a very, very noisy workhorse until I attempted a blade change and it's demise resulted in a visit to the local tip's steel bin. And so to the Baumr-AG: as far as I could tell, the current Ozito saw appeared exactly the same as my late lamented iteration. There was little comfort to be had in replacing like for like and I elected to try the only other saw at the same price. I like it a lot: it's lighter than the Ozito, looks neater than the Ozito. It's much less fussy than the Ozito and I find the various locking mechanisms easier to work with, albeit they're very close in style and format. What I do like especially is the starting position. The Ozito required a thumb to flick the guard's main lever to drop the saw. The Baumr-AG has a much neater and smoother flick switch and slide starter with the guard dropping by itself once you start cutting. The laser guide is well placed and well defined, whereas the Ozito's tended to clog up and the guide went missing during operation. It's noisy but slightly less so than the Ozito. If you're on a very low budget and really need a compound mitre saw, I highly recommend the Baumr-AG.

stand. Why they've done this instead of simply taking a pitcure of the assembled unit, I have no idea. It would have helped a lot because the saw doesn't fit on the stand as shown. I've attached some pics of what the unit looks like assembled to help. Most of my pics have the lock still in place. When you take it out, the saw will rise to its highest point.
First impressions - it's actually pretty decent. The stand is good despite the image being wrong. It comes with brackets with easy release handles. It all looks quite well built.
Important assembly note, the bolts that hold the saw to the stand braces are the wrong type to have the head of the bolt on top, so the only way to bolt the saw to the stand's quick release brackets is with the nut at the top. This causes bevel lock to hit it. You can see this in on of my photos. If they had supplied better bolts it would help. Then again, the stand isn't really made for this larger saw obviously because one of the bolts sits right on the hinge of the quick release and you wouldn't be able to get a socket in there to tighten it anyway. Someone should fix this because it's one of the few stupid things about this unit.
Accuracy: the bevel guage is horrible. Someone didn't quite know how to draw degree lines obviously. The little arrow that points to the degree marker is also horrible because it barely has a point on it. The label was damaged on mine and will likely fall off. Hopefully not. There are notches for zero and 45 degrees though, which seem to be fairly accurate on the bevel and on the table. The table lables are good and quite accurate. The table zero (90 dregree cuts) is 0.1 degrees off and there's not much you can do to change it because it's locked by the notch. That's still fairly accurate IMO. The 45 degrees on either side of the table were off slightly as well, but accurate enough for my work. When cutting at 45 degree angles, there was some lateral wobble in the blade as it spun, but it went away and din't come back for further cutting.
I mention a smell when I started the unit up for the first time in the attached video. It went away fairly quickly and didn't return.
The supplied blade cuts 3mm and the laser is dead in the middle of it and is 1mm wide. I got very sharp cuts with the supplied blade despite it being only 40T.
The slider moves cleanly with no points of resistance.
You can cut groves by setting the blade height and preventing the blade coming down too far. I found that when doing this, the front of the cut was 0.6mm deeper toward the front of the saw vs the back over 100mm. I'd expect about a 2mm depth difference over a 300mm piece of timber. This suggests that the slider isn't perfectly parallel to the table.
The manual is barely a manual. They shouldn't call it that. The should call it an information sheet.
All in all, I'd recommend the unit from what I've seen so far. It's cheap, but decent.

ignition and the motor, but won't generate 240V. In hindsight therefore, this was a useless heap of rubbish. Terrible for the planet and ten of these is not worth even one honda in my opinion. Avoid like the plague. Useless after about 20 hours use.
Here's my original optimistic review shortly after I purchased this:
I paid $202 for this generator including delivery. That is a mighty fine price for a continuous 800w 240V generator. It's light-weight, economical and fairly easy on the eye. It also starts up easily. So that's all of the good.
Now, for $202 for something relatively complex with many moving parts and electrical components, this is obviously going to be produced using the cheapest of components. So don't expect too much.
The savings seem to have been made in the initial factory set up, because, my model out of the box was hopeless until I dialled in a) the engine speed b) tightened up visible nuts and bolts c) set up the governor d) Identified a faulty label.
The faultly label was for the choke position. ON was actually OFF and OFF was actually ON. So immediatelly it ran for 15 minutes badly and then stalled out with a fouled up spark plug. Therefore, if you find yours runs for 15 minutes and then won't start ever again - DO NOT DESPAIR! perhaps the label is wrong on the choke. Just remove the air filter and look into the air intake. The choke when ON should close up a butterfly valve to reduce air intake, and when OFF it should open the butterfly valve allowing air to flow more freely in. Clean up your spark plug with a wire brush, potentially ignore the faulty label on the choke, and you should find it runs great.
Step two I had to adjust the governor (engine speed) so that at 800w I had about 216V to 220V. Otherwise, I found that if the engine speed was high enough to deliver 230-240V when fully loaded, the invertor would shut down when unladed due to over-voltage. So you have to set the engine speed (and thus voltage) quite low to about 216V - 220V when fully loaded. Anyhow, this setting is optimum for fuel economy and within specification for for '220-240V' rated products.
The manual is hopeless, an absolute waste of space. Check the oil level too, mine said it was empty, but actually it had oil in it of unknown type, and actually far too low, so you need to change/ or top up the oil before first use.
It's actually okay now considering the money. This is probably not a product for somebody who isn't confident with using a multimeter and other mechanical tools.
It's gets 3 star basically because of the amazingly low price despite having a faulty/ambiguous choke label, and cutting out not running right out of the box. You can't possibly expect to get a four or five star product at this price.. yet... how can you possibly give it only one or two stars when it was so cheap but works? Three stars is a fair price, and if you are not confident tuning it up out of the box, I recommend you don't buy it only to complain later. take this review as a warning. If you buy this with the mindset that it's essentially a disposable item that you will hopefully get plenty of use from it first with a lot of tinkering, an you may even be lucky enough to prolong it's life with a bit of maintenance and care - I expect you should be satisfied when you consider what you paid compared to the guy next door with the Honda.
