I can see some bad reviews about AAA City Removals here, I used them a few times and in my experince their service was very good, I think the bad reviews are written by their competitors as it is not showing as verified purchase, how we can identify this?
Hi Jones. I thank you for the straight forward question you have boldly submitted. As with any large company, the larger we become. the more negative reviews we receive. Let's face it, nobody is perfect and you are quite correct, many of the reviews are from competition. We conduct anywhere from 120 to 250 relocations weekly, the vast majority professionally and exceeding customers satisfaction. In other circumstances, we disappoint around 3 customers a week who always voice their concerns with a one star rating. The majority of disappointments are mainly exceeding budget, or alleged damage to second hand flimsy furniture. Of course there is some fault on our behalf but I assure you not to the extent portrayed.
It's interesting that the terrible reviews have been accumulated over a long period of time and then the wall is flooded with enough "thank god you're here" and 5 star rating reviews over a mere 4 days to hide the bad ones on subsequent pages. I challenge the validity of "many of the reviews are from competition" and ask where the evidence. It does appear that AAA has done this with the excellent reviews promoting their own company.
As a previous customer of AAA removals I can only wholeheartedly agree with the bad reviews. [name removed], your team was 5 hours late resulting in friends who were going to assist having to leave and took another 5 hours to move my 2 bedroom apartment, with a lift, ramps and easy access 700mts down the road. I was charged extra for the late finish (caused by your organisation) and an extra 1/2 hour for "travel time".
This is after the walls were scratched, my fridge dented and a brand new bookshelf having a shelf broken. Also, if you read the reviews, most people didn't have "second hand flimsy furniture" and as a representative of AAA removals, it's appalling that you refer to your customers possessions like that and highlights the attitude of your company.
I used them and the service was very good.
I hear your frustration and welcome your doubt of the validity of the reviews. I will humble myself and be the first to admit that we didn't take into consideration the strength of social media. It is easy to offend a customer slightly and get a 1 star and it is difficult to get a genuinely happy customer to convey their approval. You rarely ever see 2, 3,or 4 stars, most companies are either angels or devils. I have made it my task to personally improve our customer service, in particular with calling customers after a move and seeking feedback in order to improve our services. This is the reason why we have improved and will continue to improve and hopefully receive positive reviews.
Moving forward, it will be my pleasure if you permit me to offer you a free relocation next time you move to the value of $400. You will receive a VIP handpicked crew.
Thank you.
I gave a scathing report and will not retract it - I owned a removals company but sold it 5 years ago - if my company acted the way AAA operated it would have been in front of fair trade - they do not do what is asked, they damage goods and then claim no responsibility - if someone wants to use them they can but my suggestion is if you do want to use them smash up your own furniture, damage your own walls as that way at least you know you did it - as AAA claim they never do anything like that
They're a franchise. Some might be good. Others are appalling. The head office have no quality control, so although some guys get good refs, others are terrible. I had the most appalling experience with them and I'm just a consumer, not a competitor. Wish I'd had some of thr good teams, instead, we overpaid, had items broken, were slow, couldn't speak English at all, dumped boxes anywhere they pleased. Trashed my Piano. Didn't finish th job, we had to book a ute the day after to finding the move. Arrived 6 hours late. Nightmare!
These 5 star reviews are b*llshit, and are cut and copy generic statements to cover up the bad reviews. Arrival window was from 10am to 3pm, they arrived at exactly 3pm. Two guys, one tall guy, one short skinny guy who weighed no more than 55kg.
- Two side tables dropped
- Lounge upholstery damaged
- I had to do most of the work as the short skinny guy could not hold any of the larger furniture
- Walls scuffed with moving large furniture
The charge was over $500.
This was the worst removalist job I have ever experienced.
Hahahaha!! This comment itself is a scam!! David is quite the talker. Rip off blindly, then try to act like they're doing you a favour. This company is a sham. A disgusting sham. Karma!!!! Good luck with it!
I could use your exact words the other way: I think the good reviews are written by AAA City Removalists!
There are plenty of verified purchases here. The only fake reviews are the 5 star - it was great! - reviews. Even with all the fake buddy-buddy reviews, the overall score of 2.2 from 120 reviews means STAY THE HELL AWAY from this operator.
So are you employed by them or paid to ask this because with the lack of professionalism and decency I'm suprised that anyone has a good word to say about these guys. I've even made sure I regularly remind people about them on social media. I think there should be laws to hold idiots like this accountable for the financial and emotional stress they cause.
Hi the bad reviews are not from competitors. I leave reviews for both positive and on occasion negative (like I did for AAA) to warn others not to use. The last move was so traumatic I would hate for anyone else to go through what I went through. I just wish people would read the reviews before booking so no one else went through what I did. Beware of this company.
I am certainly not a competitor but an extremely disgruntled customer. I would hate for anyone else to go through what my husband and I went through with this company!
Not a competitor!!! The removalist was a bully! Spent ages stuffing around talking instead of moving. Wrecked my dryer and when I complained got physically aggressive!
I agree - we all know this happens - unfortunately. Restaurants are given bad reviews as many other businesses are. I was reading a Warning that the Reviews on AMAZON can also be fake. My Son & I have used AAA with no problems...we have FAKE NEWS & FAKE REVIEWS !!!!!
Sad people had to be unkind.....& make up bad Reviews - dishonest !!
I can confirm that my review was 100% true and legitimate. I suspect the positive reviews are the questionable ones
How could such a terrible company get away with what you do?
Hi Fay. I don't know how they could do something like that. It was a very difficult time for my family. Our mother had just passed and we were moving my dad into a granny flat with my sister. These people were caught and had to remove the stuff they dumped and take it to the tip. They were also fined administration charges and a hefting fine in the thousands for the actions. Nevertheless, I did not get my money back which I paid to remove the furniture and items we did not want and it was a very time consuming exercise. Don't use them!
