Hi , Just wondering if I can buy a replacement yoghurt jar.

Sal

Hi Tracy, if you cannot find one, I highly recommend getting a jar of "Berrak" brand pickled gherkins (1.6kg) from a Turkish market around your area. The jar, yogurt maker and the original lids fit perfectly to each other.

If anyone has the instruction booklet and or a recipe guide would it be possible for me to purchase a copy or could someone put it on the site please. I've never used it as I don't know how!!!!

I’m the author of the review. I’ve sent you a private message. There’s too much information with the fermenter to just publish it here on this site. You’re not the first person who’s asked about getting a copy of the information including recipes. It seems a lot of people are missing the recipes, instructions etc.

Thank you . My booklet does not have a kraut recipe. I have used the setting for the vinegar but i think the temp is too high and can’tsee how to adjust it

I received all of my booklets with the fermenter. I replied to your other question a few minutes ago with a suggestion. But I have no idea how to access the materials from Ambiano unfortunately.

Can I use lactose free milk to make yoghurt in this? Thanks

Antoinette

Absolutely. I have tried full milk and low fat lactose free milk and I loved the results. It’s almost like eating ice cream. Love it. However, I am not getting as good a result with normal full cream milk.

Just wondering if anyone knows how the yoghurt maker physically goes together to make yoghurt as we have no instructions?

One of my total WW3 with Aldi issues is their usual total lack of information about anything they sell.

e.g. from LED lights - so you don't know if your getting ones barely bright enough to light up a toilet or a living room... only they come in packs of 6 and they are on special.

AND I used to have a list of semi - internal numbers so you could ring them and find out - but they have blocked off all contact from the outside world - as dealing with the issues they cause for customers with their shoddy products and standards of service, isn't supposed to be addressed by them... So too bad for you.

With these Yogurt makers, no minimum and maximum temperatures are listed....

And people are noting that they don't come with instructions either and the LED control panel needs a microscope to read it.....

So much for Aldi's well earned reputation as a echnically clueless bottom dollar drop shipper who dumps below standards gear on the market.

But I am still curious about the minimum and maximum temperature of the unit.

Anyone know what it is?

Roger S.
Roger S.

I’d imagine the maximum temp is 40° given the relatively quick process- above 40° denatures enzymes and below 30° would add a considerable amount of time to the process. Also, power consumption is 20W, so it can’t be heating up all that much. I bought one the other day- looking forward to fiddling with it on the weekend! :) Mine came with manual, quick setup manual and a recipe book.

Paramedic101
Paramedic101

So, TPT, your response to someone that is simply trying to be helpful is to insult them?! What a sad world we live in.

TPT
TPT

"I'd imagine" isn't the stipulated minimum and maximum regulated temperatures. And ~20W of heating, it seems rather low - and that should be on the device it's self either cast onto or into the surface or it's applied as a label. However 200W would seem more appropriate - but not to an internet intelectual....

You can go back to being agreeable and achieving consenus with someone who invents a reality for something to do, that wastes peoples time - and I will go back to being the best in the world.

Perhaps basic comprehension wasn't one of your stronger subjects at school.

For instance - while you will snivel and whine at me, for critiquing the fantasy land man's opinion, you YOURSELF have done NOTHING to advance the cause, and extracting your digit and supplying the answer wasn't done by you either.

So aside from wasting other peoples time with your complaining - what have you actually achieved? Nothing - that's what.

Congratulations - you win a date for two with Fantasy Man, off to Fantasy Land, for an eternity...

TPT, considering that you don't have one, and Roger S has. Roger S is going to be fiddling with it, could of measured the temperatures for each setting and told you. Good luck with that now! What an arrogant fool you are.

TPT
TPT

Brilliant snipe Tony O. But.... Roger never actually said that he: a) Has instructions or specifications for it. b) That he has a high quality industrial / scientific thermomenter in the 0-50*C range and has actually measured it's minimum and maximum temperature ranges.

Roger ONLY said that he imagines the temperatures to be......

I design, manufacture and build these kinds of devices. I can also modify other manufacturers products to run in the ranges that I want them to run in. I also make and manufacture the temperature switches and thermal regulation components to make them work how I want them to work.

I can and do. You can't and don't.

I'd imagine that "Basic Comprehension" probably wasn't one of your stronger subjects at school.

tony o.
tony o.

TPT, well since you are such a highly skilled individual why don't you buy one and make the measurements yourself? Then you can enlighten us with your amazing knowledge. If you "... design, manufacture and build these kinds of devices." then you would know the probable temperature range of a yoghurt maker. If you "... modify other manufacturers products to run in the ranges that I want them to run in", asking for the temperature range means nothing, as you have no idea the type of heating element used, it's heating capability, or the control circuitry. You would have to find a service manual (unlikely for a cheap appliance), or buy and open up the yoghurt maker to see the internal components. Either way your original question would be moot. Roger ONLY tried to be helpful, not knowing you were such an electrical/electronic genius and needed such precise data. You only presented yourself with a rant against Aldi, the lack of support for their products, and lack technical specifications. Then you asked the question "But I am still curious about the minimum and maximum temperature of the unit. Anyone know what it is?" Roger gave you a probable answer based on his knowledge of the yoghurt making process. You just went into full rant to berate him when he was trying to help!

Oh and as for your bullet points - a) to quote Roger "I bought one the other day- looking forward to fiddling with it on the weekend! :) Mine came with manual, quick setup manual and a recipe book." Roger actually said he had the instructions to the yoghurt maker! So much for your "Basic Comprehension". b) To what precision do you need the temperature values? To the degree, tenth, or hundredths? It's a yoghurt maker, not a precision laboratory incubation chamber! It's temperature precision and repeatability would be measured in degrees. Most digital cooking thermometers are accurate to within 1 degree. You could of asked Roger to do some basic measurements for you. He probably would of done so, if you were not so RUDE.

For future reference, I have a degree in Electronic Engineering and have designed, built, modified and tested many, many electronic designs and devices in my professional and personal life.

So, I Can and I Do!

TPT
TPT

It's your idea - you buy it.

TPT I was thinking of buying it to make cheese. That's why I went looking for information and reviews. I saw your post and thought what a rude ... Looks like you are just a sad troll. Anyway, KLA got the temperatures and times from the support email listed on the box, and has listed them. Though they probably won't be good enough for you.
