How do you decalicify this machine
coffee beans not grinding only bought 2 months ago
coffee beans not grinding only 2 mths old
Let me guess, makes grinding noise, beans disappear, but nothing comes out? I cleaned my machine and found a small piece of broken plastic that seems to hold a retaining ring. I couldn't get mine fixed easily so took mine back for refund.
Where Can I get a replacement seal for the steamer stem
I wish that I could help, because I need be too!
My STR 1858 is leaking from top of steam arm swivel. Where can I purchase Teflon (?) seat/grommot incorporating seat for swivel
They said my only option was to return the Sterling machine to Aldi for a refund?! How bizarre for the sake of a simple gasket!!!
i have the stirling designes collection can you steil get teflon seals for water and steam outlet
Hi Danny...i contacted tempo (warranty) who said they dont have parts? Whereabouts can you get them from? The water seal is plastic plus a silicone grommet, the steam is just a plastic half spherical cup
My started to leak as well , I swapped the seals on the 2 stems as we only used the steamer side , then discovered the ball fitting and the stem aren't 1 complete piece tighten up the stem and ball fitting, problem solved
Will this machine be on sale in Aldi stores again??
Yes - next week,(October12) but with inbuilt grinder this time, which adds $100 to price

How descaler machine
Hi Karl, To descale this machine, please see the following steps: Step-by-step descaling instructions 1. Before cleaning the machine, ensure the function control dial is in the STANDBY position and the appliance has been disconnected from the wall outlet. 2. Fill the water tank with 1 part white vinegar to 3 parts cold water. 3. Engage the portafilter with a filter basket onto the group head. 4. Place a wide-mouth jug or large cup under the espresso outlet(s). Place the frothing jug under the steam wand and a third empty container under the water dispensing wand. 5. Plug the unit into an appropriate electrical outlet. 6. Press the POWER button. When the system is up to temperature, all four buttons on the control panel will be illuminated. 7. Turn the function control dial to STEAM. Allow the hot steam to purge the line for at least 45 seconds. Then turn the dial to WATER. Allow water to fill the empty container, then discard. Turn the function control dial to STANDBY. 8. Press the DOUBLE SHOT button, hot water will start flowing out of the espresso spout(s). Empty the hot water and continue this procedure until the entire tank of water is purged through the system. 9. In hard water environments, we recommend you repeat the above steps. 10. After descaling, remove the water tank and refill it with fresh, cold water. Repeat steps 6 through 8 to thoroughly rinse the espresso machine. 11. When the flow has stopped, press the POWER button. When all indicator lights are off, unplug the machine from the wall outlet when not in use. 12. Remove the portafilter and containers and rinse with hot water for next use.
WARNING: Never immerse the power cord, plug or the machine itself in water or any other liquid. The water tank should never be completely emptied during descaling.
For more information, or to organise a copy of the user manual (which outlines this descaling process), please contact our after sales support team at external link or on 1300 112 534.
If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to let us know!
Kind regards, Tempo
Help, I've dropped the handle that you put the coffee and it's snapped. How can I buy a replacement?
Do you sell spear parts.
Hi what is the size of the portafilter for stirling 19 bar premium espresso machine, please? I want to purchase one
how do i descale the machine?
can I get a service manual for this machine, as I have lost mine. Ron.
How do I reset my Stirling coffee machine because it does not come on
It sounds like your Aldi coffee machine has failed. After some research I discovered these machines are very unreliable. If it is still under warranty send it back. Or you could take it to the right specialist who might be able to fix it. The thermostat went on mine.
Ok thanks
Why is coffee not coming out! Are the filter baskets solid or are they meant to be solid.(No Holes)
This is problem I’m having. There is only one tiny hole? I needed my 2 times mag glasses to find it. The double shot cup needs cleaning with the needle device, constantly. Otherwise happy. I’m tempted to drill another hole in the double shot cup.
