My daughter just turned 1 year. We have just started Aptamil Gold+ number 3. The recommended frequency is 2 times per day. However, she had been taking number 2 three times a day. She wants to drink this one three times too. What would you suggest? Should we reduce the amount per bottle and give her three times or can we just add another bottle with the usual 4 scoops?
Hi Lealem, when babies turn 12 months of age, they can keep drinking the size bottles and frequency as before but as food provides more nutrition than milk now, that needs to be the focus. Over the next year milk intake should ideally drop to about 400mls of milk by 24 months. Hope this helps you! Kind regards, Hilary
Hi my baby has been on aptamil gold colic and constipation 0 to 12 months. He will be 12 months this month...do i go straight to aptamil gold 3 since it's from 12 months+ ? Would there be any side effects?
Hi Zena, I would suggest you transition slowly from your Colic & Constipation formula to the stage 3 toddler milk over a few days to help baby adjust. When you change, we suggest transitioning your baby over slowly from your present formula to the new one by mixing the two formulas together in the same bottle to minimize any digestive changes. You can do this as long as you are using the right scoop to water ratio for each formula. Start with smaller amounts of the new and increase this ratio over a few days. Please contact us on 1800 438 500 if you need more help with this process. Kind regards, Hilary, Careline Nutritionist
Yes you can move onto the toddler milk after 12 months of age. You can transition baby onto the new milk to ease the change of digestion. Please call us at the Nutricia Careline to get help with how to do that - 1800438500 Sue Nutritionist.
Does stage 3 Aptamil gold plus contain more added sugar than stage 1? Is so why?
