Hi, I was planning to improve IT skills. Just wondering if studying Professional skills in AIICT is a better option (for find a better job) compare to study master in UNI.

I'm not sure how up-to-date the material is. It's an expense that's contractual hard to get out of if it's not what you're seeking but since you already know what you're doing and it provides certificates I'm sure your experience would differ from mine. I'd suggest looking into Udemy as they have certificates, the lectures are updated and they have a lot if challenges to help apply what you're learning into the field.

I am interested in enrolling for the Certified Cyber Security Professional. As I read through the reviews and comments it seems as that the Institute of ICT isnt the best place to learn and gain any certificate. Has this changed? do they now offer better tutors and study content, and do they actually help you? Thanks.

You can pick up the content from Udemy for a fraction of the price, study up then pay separately for your exams. There is no instructor/student interaction, its all spoon fed videos with minimum practicals. It is simply not worth $4950. Honestly look elsewhere. Try Udemy, or find a face to face or a proper organisation

Hi pedro, what do you mean by pay separately for your exam? is it possible to self study and only take the exam and end up with a real certification?

Pedro M.

@Milie Yes. This is how Comptia works: external link  Its how alot of IT products work as well, you study up then sit the exam to get the technical qualification.

Hey there Pedro - What course would you recommend?

Depends where you skillset is at. I recommend if you have time and money to do a face to face course over anything online if you are new to the field. I would start with TAFE. Cant go wrong with Cert IV, CCNA, CompTIA is fine, moving into your routing courses etc. Just for the cost with AIICT and what they actually provide its not good. Udemy gives you the same lessons for much cheaper. Again boils down to do you want a qualification or actual competence

Yes don't bother enrolling with AIICT. I'm a current student. The course material does not cover all the topics on the exam and they take a very long time to respond to questions.

Current student 13/11/22 I don't think i'll be able to pass, I've been ignored for months in regards to help, 4 months in and only ever heard back from my Lecturer once (within the first 4weeks) and only just booked my Core1 exam (supposedly you can do this course in 6 months HAHA what a joke that is)...

Hi I was planning to apply AIICT to Diploma of IT and I just want to know if they we're recognizable of the government? Because we called them amd they said that they we're recognizable by the government idk if they we're lying to us or not

Check their registered training organisation number (RTO). Be careful with these companies. I used to study at the Australian institute of ICT (it has now rebranded I think) and whilst some people finished I never did due to lack of support. TAFE is a far better option.

Thank you all so much! I don’t know how I stumbled on this page but thank god I did. You have all opened my eyes and I am so thankful. I was just about to sign in on beginning a course in Cyber Security for the next 6 months for $5685 when a voice in my head was telling me to find out more about AIICT! Im feeling so relieved! Thank you, I’m totally OUT!

Hey. I'm in the same boat @Nobby! Did you end up enrolling with these guys for cyber security? If so how was your experience? Have you received any of the 3 certs yet? Was it worth it?

Regards MR.X

Hey, I too was just about to pay my invoice and enroll in the Cyber Security course however, I something is telling me not to yet (which is why I am looking into them further). It's a lot of money to outlay upfront and not have any guarantees on the level of tutoring and study content. As I have never heard of them and after researching the company I found that they trade under a Building Construction Co. in WA, so...??? Bit of a contrast. Hopefully someone legit who has or is studying with them can maybe shed some light.

The above reviews are for AIICT as it existed previously. It was closed down. The brand name has since been bought and re launched with new courses, new trainers, new management.
