Brass Monkey 12/24VDC Portable Ice Maker GH1560 Questions & Answers
MPN: GH1560Hi, my brass monkey ice maker flap goes up and down ,then the red light comes on and no ice.
Probably the pump in it has buggered up. Brass monkey has pulled this product from the shelf and are no longer making them is what jaycar told me. I got a refund instead of a replacement this time. I would suggest you take it back also and try to get your money back
Brand new unit: Plugged unit in at 240V made 9x small ice cubes the first time and nothing else thereafter. I have unplugged the unit plugged it back in and still no luck. Any suggestions please?
Update on my last review. Wiggled the arm that pushes the ice over into the basket. Problem fixed. Left arm moved a bit in downward movement. Be gentle as it is plastic obviously. But seems to work fine! Whoo hoo!!
Purchased Brass Monkey Ice Machine 10 days ago. Not making any ice at the moment. Went through manual and says low voltage from the red light indicator flashing 2 times every 5 seconds. Not the case as it’s plugged into 240v. I’ll try 12v and see what happens. Anyone had the same problem? And if so, how to fix. Thinking of returning to RTM!!
I have an update, the ice maker was replaced by a new version(visually looks the same but the power plug has moved) by RTM but this took 8 months from the time I made the warranty claim. Anyhow new one is working well except when it runs out of water, I’m finding once you refill the unit it won’t run unless disconnected from power for 10 seconds then it will start
Update the ice make has stopped working, makes one lot of ice then wont run again unless the power is removed for more than 30 seconds. This only resets for one lot of ice
