Breville Dual Boiler BES900BS Questions & Answers
VerifiedI have the Dual Boiler BES920, what does it mean when the display shows "busy" for aprox 3-5 seconds when you attempt to descale / clean or simply make a coffee?
My machine leaks water around the portafilter. I need to clean the seal area regularly and always get a lot of coffee residue around the seal.
can the seal on the machine get damaged or are my coffee baskets getting damaged?
Scott

BREVILLE BES920BS No longer showing pressure. Cleaned. Showing pressure while cleaning but none when brewing. Any advice before I seek warranties help. Regards John
Hi John, if you have pressure during cleaning then it's almost certain the your coffee might not be fresh enough &/or coffee is not ground fine enough. If your coffee is not fresh, then you'll never be able to grind fine enough for a good extraction. I hope this helps. ^PM
John, I am on my third machine. I had to send it back because they seem to stop functioning properly around the one year mark. Thankfully they sent me a new one each time as I was still within my warranty. Unfortunately my third one stopped working after my warranty and I spent time on the phone with someone through Breville but they couldn't help me. I too have no pressure but also none when cleaning and mine makes an awful loud sound. I took impeccable care of both my espresso and grinder machines. Depending on how long you have had yours I would call regardless and maybe they will help you. I unfortunately am stuck with a very expensive broken machine that only lasted over a year. Good luck.
My machine had similar problems but after 3 years. Unfortunately out of warranty and cost of repairs near $600. (Took 3 weeks to get reply) If you are still in warranty call them. Can't believe it would stale coffee or not fine enough but I'm no barista. Its a worry that Kate is on third machine. Im about to go out and buy another....
Hi Kate and Julz! I did another clean of the machine and cleaned the separate grinder. Put all back together and it sort of worked got 5 bars however this morning got 9 bars and a wonderful coffee, so fingers crossed maybe I am lucky. Thanks so much for your feedback.
Regards John!
