Hi Ken, Thank you for getting in touch and for your interest in ButcherCrowd. Basically, we offer 2 types of boxes – with the most popular being our Custom box. Our boxes are for a fixed price with free delivery. The only time the fixed box price can be changed, is if you choose to “addon”.

Our Custom box (Create Your Own) - You choose your own meat and seafood cut, from the given selection menus for $159 (small box) and $269 (large box). So regardless of whatever cuts of meat and seafood that you want, the price remains fixed. Your choices of cuts can be changed for each delivery also. The menus are all available for you to view on our website (Click on “Custom Box”).

Our Curated box range – All of the other boxes. Here, we curate and vary the chosen cuts of meat each month. Click on the ‘learn more’ section under each box for the box contents which can change each month, except the Salmon and Value box which remain the same.

Optional Add-ons are available for all boxes. All portions sizes are listed on the website, with each particular box.

The weight and cost of the box is purely based on the selections of the products chosen and the average frequency people select. The frequency, choice of box, and how many meals you cook, based on your selections. Technically, it'd be $34.75 per week, for a Value box, ordered once every 4 weeks.

The small custom boxes start at $159 for monthly subscriptions. That works out to just $37 per week, depending on the size of your household. The small box is ideal for feeding 2-3 people and includes UP TO 6 kg of meat. The total weight of your order would depend on which cuts you select. The large boxes start at $269, feed 4-5 people and include UP TO 11 kg of meat.

So, to clarify, we don't sell add products by weight we sell per box time, either large or small and the boxes start from $139 for a small value box. You can choose frequency from 1 week, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, or 8 weeks.

The best value option is a large box because this includes 16 items of your choice, and also has the option of any value-added add-ons. Box types really come down to what an individual customer’s needs, and lifestyle are.

When you take out your initial order you join on a subscription basis, but this can be paused, boxes can be skipped, and the subscription can be cancelled anytime without any lock in contracts.

So, for example, if you took out a subscription for a small custom box on a 4 weekly basis order cycle you would be charged $159 every 4 weeks with free delivery included.

You receive a three-day reminder e-mail before the order processes to update your selections or to pause or skip if not required.

You can also change your selections of your custom box around to suit on every order cycle.
