Always go for Fully Synthetic oil for turbo cars. Mineral Oil or Semi Synthetic are not a good choice for turbo cars.

You can not use this oil for Diesel Cars. This is only for petrol car use.
This oil is totally fine to use. The owners manual will specify the different grades of oil suitable for your car and also most mechanics here in Australia prefer castrol because of their consistency of their product quality over the years. Synthetic is best if you can spend the money but still oil needs to be changed around 7500 to 10000kms anyway so it is fine to use semisynthetic. I have been using this oil in my 3.2 L DID Pajero for last 4 years and done 110000kms without any problems. Synthetic is more suitable for european engines wuth more sophusticated injection systems and finer tuned sports models. For a turbo diesel semisynthetic is great enough.

I have never owned a diesel but if diesel DX 5W-40 is for diesel engines from my experience it would be able to handle the heat and still be efficient in your application? The service interval for South African vehicles, petrol and diesels is 15000 km. Castrol Magnatec is a part synthetic oil, not fully synthetic.
How many months can you run Castrol Magnatec begore changing? 12months seems an arbitrary number
I have never used Magnatec Diesel myself but l can say my friends father has in a early navara and done big Ks he changes his oil every 10k or six months

Good morning, I am not an oil expert but from my investigations on the internet, for any diesel engine you have to use an oil with the specification marked "B". Castrol Magnatec Fully Synthetic 5W-40 with the ACEA specification A3/B4 should be acceptable for your Nissan Diesel as the can states that it is for petrol and diesel engines. Please note that it is not intended for heavy duty diesel engines but for diesel cars, bakkies and SUV's. Regards.
