Has anyone managed to get a refund or exchange via mediation? I sent back a few hundred dollars worth of curtains at great expense on August 23rd and heard nothing back. I went on here to do a review on September 11th and was offered mediation. Now 17 days later I’ve received a couple of generic “someone with get back to you soon” type responses and other than that nothing. I sent back curtains for an exchange and I have emailed numerous times. No refund and no exchanged. Looks like they’ve stolen my money.

Hi, no no one has been in touch. Have tried so many times to follow up and pretty sure they have scammed me. Thinking Curtain Wonderland maybe insolvent and still taking orders + money, but not sending any goods that are made to measure. They are part of Kresta Blinds, however Kresta won’t help with online orders.

That’s terrible. Yes I was wondering that myself. I did get a couple of orders delivered but I sent an exchange back and now there is no response.

I purchased curtains from your QLD Morayfield Store 18 months ago. Curtains for a 4 bedroom house! All curtains and sheers are now disintegrating at the tops. I was advised because I didn't keep receipt, nothing could be done. If this matter isn't rectified I will be taking the matter further. Negative reviews aren't good for your business! Not good enough. Waiting for a prompt response!

Good luck with getting a response!!! Apparently there is a 2 year guarantee??? They don’t seem to care about negative reviews. I have been waiting almost 6 months for them to rectify my new curtains that were totally incorrectly made. Wish I had read the reviews before I purchased my curtains. Will never recommend them or Kresta who they are affiliated with and now owned by a Chinese Company.

Hi Alan and all that view this with tge same issues on disintegrating sheers/curtains. I am taking Curtain Wonderland to QCAT because of my disintegrating sheers tops as this is the second time (replaced all 2 years ago because of the same issues). I will be on my third lot of sheers in three years. I was informed by CW when the first lot disintegrated that the replacement sheers were from a different batch. I wanted a full refund when the first lot disintegrated, however will only replace I was told. I didnt want to have another lot that disintegrated, no choice so went with a different batch theory. HOWEVER not so as they have done it again. I have 18 sheers in my living room and 10 have all disintegrated so far which they said they will actually refund, however the remaining eight sheers all have the same stiffening material in them and will break down in time. They are like the disposable shopping bags, the stiffening seems to be likened to the disposable shopping bags so in time all will disintegrate. CW said they won't discuss the matter any further (case closed) if I accept the partial refund which leaves the remaining sheers "NOT Fit for Purpose ". I would have to throw ALL sheers out of course as we want the SAME sheers in the same room, that's an added expense I will have to replace ALL for that room. Good NEWS everyone is we saw a solicitor and was advised CW's 2 year warranty is extended by Australian Consumer Rights and warranties. We ALL have a case for "Full Refunds" as this is deemed a "Major Fault" as these sheers/curtains have a quality/warranty to last longer than the time we have had them before they disintegrate. If anyone wants to send me their story please do as we can ALL take our cases to QCAT. Just give me permission to print off your complaint so I can add it to my QCAT case. Look up Australian Consumer Law. Let's right this wrong since CW sheers/curtains have a high RRP on their product and the CW seem to be profiteering from these poor quality curtains. CW customer service woman emailed me back saying I am a bully (because I complained about my sheers), a Racist (the customer service woman is Chinese and apparently has taken my comment personally because I referred to going to K-Mart/Target if I wanted a cheaper option sheers), she said I was threatening the company (because I said if she doesn't respond to my request for repair/refund I will go to QCAT or the Ombudsman), seriously!! Note this same issue has been going on for at least three years that I know of (start of my disintegrating sheers issues) yet the reviews stay the same even today, disgusting CW. Write to me folks.

Thanks for your reply! Very frustrating as I was expecting high quality curtains and sheers purchasing from curtain Wonderland. Less than 2 years lifespan isn’t good enough. Only issue with my claim is I don’t have the original purchase receipt. I was told try to provide some proof of purchase such as a bank statement. I can’t access records from that long ago. The curtains are tagged with their brand so obvious I purchased from CW! I will just take all curtains back to store and tell them to sort their crap out and provide full refund or swap. If it happens again I’ll just take them back again!

Hi Alan, do you have a membership number you are able to provide us with? This will help locate your proof of purchase if you do not have a physical receipt there with you. Unfortunately, to use your rights to a repair, replacement or refund, you will need to keep the receipt or other type of proof of purchase

Hi Jane, I'm just reading the review you wrote 6 months ago now and wondering how you got along with your curtain issue? Did CW refund you after all? From the reviews I've read, Curtain Wonderland as a company don't seem forthcoming with assisting customers with product issues. I had exactly the same issue with the sheers I purchased from them approx 4-5 years ago for my entire home (approx. $3000 on an awesome CW storewide sale which is the reason I splurged and purchased from them in the first place and also believed their product would be quality). At the time the staff at the Cairns store were helpful, but the store has since closed down a few years ago, so I couldn't take my curtains back once I realised what was happening. The white lining supporting the hooks at the top of every single curtain started disintegrating and have all continued to deteriorate day by day. They now droop in the places where the lining is now completely gone and make an absolute mess every time I even slightly touch the curtains. At first, I couldn't figure out why there was always white flaky and powdery stuff on the floors every time I vacuumed. I realised that every time I even slightly touched the curtains the lining was flaking off and falling like snow. I was annoyed but not too concerned at the start as I thought maybe it was a one off and would stop, but sadly it's been an ongoing mess for years and so disappointing as the only reason I could afford to deck out my home with new curtain sheers was because of one of their annual storewide sales, so went all out buying a house worth of curtains ie 26 x curtain sets of varying widths for varied privacy including all the accessories to install ie rods, hooks, etc..also purchased 3 x roller blinds which are the only thing that were no problem. They looked great and for 18 months (possibly less) they were fine, but for the money spent (without the sale, full price it would've cost me over $6000, so one would expect their curtains to last alot longer than 5 years. Very poor quality and it can't be blamed on bad batches because another thing was that when hanging the curtains, some of my 'Tuscan' curtain sets had different coloured shades, so I had to keep taking some of the curtains back to the store where staff would assist with trying to match to closer shades of exact same product otherwise it would've looked like different curtains. They explained that different batches of exact same product could have slight variations in colour/shade. Anyway, just incase you're still needing backup, please feel free to use my review. Hi, They made contact with me a few months ago and I emailed the photographic proof of the disintegrating sheer curtains. The photos clearly showed the damage and curtain wonderland brand labeling. However, they never replied after all these months. I even tried calling them with no answer. It's a lost cause. I'm just about to pull all the sheers down and replace with Kmart sheers. I'd say they're probably better quality than the Curtain Wonderland garbage. And unfortunately if you don't have proof or purchase (which I didn't after 2 years), they just ignore you. Don't go near them again. I tell everybody I know don't go near their stores...

Could someone please tell me WHY THIS COMPANY doesn’t answer there phones there email nothing, it’s like I am dealing with people who took my order on line and money has been PAID that got confirmed And gave me NO EMAIL TO CONFIRM my order , the only thing I have is my payment statement from bank and I screenshot the confirmation, when I tried calling no stop for two days all I got was we are having high volume calls leave you name and number and we will get back to you , WELL IM STILL WAITING, then emailed twice again nothing And the bank says call the company Well apparently there so incredibly busy that no one in the world can get a hold of them, and as I brought on line you call a store for help about your curtain order and they say call the online number, HOW NO ONE IN AUSTRALIA FROM THIS COMPANY WILL ANSWER So next will be going to the media I’ve tried everything seriously What do I have to do for someone to help me

I want to know how you can get away with not refunding customers money. I purchased a quilt cover online and what was delivered was completely different to the picture on your website, and then you refuse a refund because you don't refund bedding due to "health reasons"! It's still in the original packaging. Your store policies are illegal in Australia. I want my money back.

I am about to purchase curtains and tracks from CW, Tweed City store, after having a free measure and quote. After reading the reviews, I am very hesitant to purchase from you.
