Hi I have a espresso maker that was purchased brand new 11 months ago. It is not preinfusing before the shot, the issue resolves for short period after descaling (orange steam light is not active) and the reset option has not resolved the issue. I am based in Sydney Australia, please could you advise how I can seek assistance.
Contact Delonghi directly and they will get you in contact with a service centre. The service centre usually takes a week to assess. They will either repair or offer a replacement. You can try support.delonghi.au@delonghigroup.com

No it cannot be. Please do not post random videos as solutions since putting "delonghi dedica leak" in google and taking the first one does not always give you the right answer.
Hi! I'm having an issue with the steamer on my new machine. It shoots A LOT of water, but no steam. Even if you only put a tiny amount of milk in the jug, it ends up overflowing because of how much water it in putting in, and it does not froth at all. It is a brand new machine. If anyone has any tips I would very much appreciate it!
Machine is dripping hot water from steam spout when making a coffee. This is a new machine and has had minimal use. Also flow of water through ground beans is minimal and at times non existent when hot water is leaking from the steam port.
I have this same problem. Months ago I talked to a DeLonghi representative. I believe I was advised to replace the O ring. I don't know what kind of O ring, where to purchase it, nor where I would put it in the machine. (I have opened the lid. Quite intimidating! Not obvious where the worn-out ring is.) Please help! I'd really rather fix this machine than send it to the landfill and buy a new one.
Hi - I love this machine and have just recently bought the newer model as my original well loved one died and the service people recommended it be replaced. With the new model the milk frothier is different and has hot milk (slide up) and cappuccino (slide down) option. This sliding seems tiny. However I cannot get it to actually froth. It heats the milk fine, but I actually would prefer froth. Does anyone have this issue? My previous EC658 model worked better for frothing
Mine also has a very tiny slide..the only time I’ve experienced no frothing is when I’ve washed the nozzle and forgotten to twist it back into place (twisting it slightly as you slide it over the black rubber nozzle). So sorry to hear you’re having this issue : (

I have recently purchased a brand new ec685, I used it for one day and it was working properly but the yesterday it stopped pumping hot water from the pump. I tried switching off and on again , wait till all lights stop blinking but still not pumping. Any ideas?

Hi, we bought out coffee machine 2 weeks ago and at random times the water stays in the pod and coffee nor water amanges not comes out and to reach the mug. We manage to make 1 or 2 coffees and then suddenly the machine stops distributing coffee and the water pressure builds up in the pod and a handle. It’s very frustrating. We’ve trying everything (instruction Manuel and YouTube videos). Let us know the solution. Thank you

My delonghi dedica machine frother is not working while descaling only the coffee filter finished the descaling, after i finished descaling i found the frother also not working ?
Hi Amr, I'm not sure what you mean by your frother is not working while descaling? Here is a How To video for descaling: external link . You may not have finished the process completely so the machine will think it is still in descale mode. Run through the descale again as per the instructions, do not try to finish this process early as the machine will not register that the descale is finished.
When frothing the milk it spits out water so the jug fills up watering it down. Has happened from the moment I bought it. From comments its sounds like its common. Is it a fault?
I want to clean the filter holder, but after using the coffee machine the filter holder has encrustations on it that's hard get off when washing with normal detergent. How do I clean the filter holder? I use your recommended descaler to descales the machine, as described in your manual.

Hi, I've used the coffee maker for around one year. I recently noticed that water drops started appearing under the steam nozzle (after I turn on the machine, during coffee-making and for some time after that when the coffee maker is off). Not too much water leaking out, but still. What can be wrong and what kind of maintenance might be necessary? Thanks.
How long ago did you do a descale as this may fix the problem.

After 18 months my steam and hot water dispenser has stopped working. I use descaler on a regular basis and always run steam through the dispenser after use. The regular thud-thud-thud sound that accompanys steam production is missing. Do l require a replacement furnace of do l have a blockage?. Best Regards Billy

The steam light is orange. When making a cappuccino, it is shooting out water rather than just steam

I read the instructions and realized that I hadn’t finished the scaling process. Once I did that, the orange Steam light turned off.
I bought my de'longhi dedica EC685 3 days ago. When I use ground coffee it produce only very tiny amount of coffee even though I cleaned the filter and the filter holder made sure nothing is closing the hole. I followed the quantity programming instructions but still same problem. Not sure what the issue is?
You could vary the grind to either fine, medium and coarse. If no luck you cloudless contact a local delonghi service centre for advice. Good luck

When I turn on EC685BK or make a coffee the water leaking from the part where the steam come. Please advise?
Hi Hisham, if you don't put the machine into steam mode the steam wand acts as a hot water tap so you can make tea or long black. Make sure to turn the steam button on first and wait till it is steady. Here is a link to a how to video to show you what I mean. external link
I have same problem with Hisham where the water leaking from the steam wand. I never use the steam as I drink espresso only. In the past, I did replace the "O Ring" on the steam wand and that will fix for a few months. Now the problem coming back with the new "O Ring" in place. Thanks,
Hello. After preparing an espresso (the one with a double load), I am trying to prepare hot milk. The steam light is on (not blinking). After I turn the handle, a machine gives a weak steam for a few seconds, then stops. So I manage to get steam only after a few attempts (cooling a boiler, running hot water, turning a machine on/off). What may be wrong? Oh, it also helps to get steam, if I turn the handle counter-clockwise till the end and hold it in that position by hand. Is it supposed to work like that?
The steam works when you turn the handle anti clockwise. Try closing it by turning it clockwise until the handle is horizontal. Press the steam light button until it stops blinking and then turn anti clockwise
