I have purchased a puppy from a registered DogzOnline breeder. I'm now concerned . He won't answer my call . I have not received a receipt or any breeding papers. He was very pushy and I was weak. I didn't see the parents he brought the puppy to me. Any suggestions on how to receive my papers, etc?

Genuine Reviewer

Depending on the situation, it could be that the papers aren't ready yet as the breeder hasn't sold all the puppies from the litter and there can be a delay in processing as well. Dogzonline are only an advertising platform, and are not the actual body responsible; you will get very little help from DogzOnline. I would suggest send the breeder an email asking about the papers, if you do not receive a response contact the State Body if you are in QLD that would be DogsQLD, each state has its own body.

When buying a dog forget about sites like DogzOnline, go straight to the local body and confirm that the breeder is a registered ANKC (DogsAustralia) breeder.

I agree with above comment - I hope it is not an Oodle Breed - you may have bought from a Puppy Farm…they are everywhere in Australian or Backyard Breeder they too are everywhere - check with DogsQld - no satisfaction you can take to the equivalent of Qld Consumer Affairs. Not sure how it works in Qld… you did everything you shouldn’t have - we learn by our mistakes Not every Breeder of Animals are decent people it is about $$$$. I always speak with the Secretary of a Particular Breed & they can give you names of Breeders that Show their Dogs - they must be Members of ANKC . You didn’t mention the Dogs Breed - you could try & speak with the Club Secretary of the Breed they can tell you if the Breeder Shows Dogs….good luck

Hi Roslyne, Thank you for your question, we are sorry to hear about your experience with this breeder. I am wondering if there is any further update as you posted this question on 3JAN? If you have not heard back from the breeder as yet, please email us at: helpdesk@dogzonline.com.au and we will investigate further. Please provide us with the breeder's name/prefix and the amount that you paid.

I would also highly recommend reaching out to Dogs Australia and report this: external link  as they have the ability to investigate further as well.

Many thanks, Dogz Online Help Desk

Dogzonline wont help as they dont care just interested in getting money for advertising, they know of a breeder that crossbreeds and do nothing even though easy google searches show the breeder was guilty of crossbreeding it is even listed here on product review, go direct to dogsaustralia

Hi Gabby, We are happy to help you, as offered above, please email us at: helpdesk@dogzonline.com.au and let us know more. Dogs Australia are the governing body that this breeder belongs to and they are the appropriate people to escalate any evidence of breaches of their terms and conditions of membership. We are a third party site that will only remove members when advised by Dogs Australia. We apologise if this is confusing but you are free to email us and take this offline with the email above. We take the utmost care to ensure that all our breeders and buyers adhere to our terms and conditions. We look forward to hearing from you-Dogz Online Help Desk

Hi Trudie. Dogzonline is the wrong place to search for any information regarding dogs or the regulations etc that surround them. There is no one you can speak with as they have no phone number. Further more even if ask questions on line they ever give direct or understandable answers. The best was to find out about your enquiry is to speak wth the Breeders Association in your State. Dogzonline only take you money to advertise. My experience with them was horrendous. I reported a very suspect breeder with whom I dealt and the did not even contact me then. I then went to the local council where the breeder was located and also the RSPCA and still not a lot of help. I have been a breeder and when I was there were some very strict rules however strict rules no longer seem to be in existence. The dog breeding industry except for a very small percentage of ethical breeders has become nothing more than a dodgy money making industry. My advice is check with your local associations and certainly you local council as some rules with them do apply. Good luck.

You are right, no point in even contacting DogzOnline as they do not care one bit. I am in the process of finalising action against them and part of that shows a number of unscrupulous breeders that he allows to advertise on his site, whilst deleting reputable breeders that did nothing wrong, the reason as they are to lazy to look at complaints to see if they are genuine or not.

Best bet is contact the local authority like DogsQLD etc at least they take complaints seriously and don't just persecute innocent people for no reason.

Many Pure Bred Dogs (ANKC) have their own Clubs for their Breed in each State. You can find them on FB, some are on the web. They all know each other & their Secretary etc can put you in touch with Breeders who ‘Show & Care’ for their Dogs. Not all ANKC Breeders care for their Dogs - it is all about Winning …they become obsessed with owning & Showing the Best Dog!

Hopefully someone from DOGZONLINE will read all of the above and endeavour to contact the people who are complaining about their LACK OF SERVICE. However, I will lodge my complaint now ever day and keep pursuing them via Fair Trading Queensland.

Bobtail Dobermann
Bobtail Dobermann

Hi Sorry only just realised this was here, I didn't receive any notification. DogzOnline does not handle complaints like a professional business, if he did I would probably still have my account, instead of him cancelling my account after 10 years based solely on false allegations , which the RSPCA cleared me of. The RSPCA chief Inspector went as far as to say “Because the Reality is, I think in this case we can say you didn’t dock their tails that’s 100%” and “Everyone in this room knows the real person there” Implying who was actually responsible for damaging the tail of the pup.

But that means nothing to DogzOnline, persecute people that did nothing wrong and then ignore them. That is obviously his Policy, but it is good to see that the public are finally waking up to what he is like.

Regarding the issues with the breeder, all I can say is contact their local breeder association, that they are registered with and lodge a complaint with them, if you have proof that they did something wrong they will generally act, unlike DogzOnline.

It is difficult to find a good breeder so I always recommend contact their ANKC breeder association, but Googling will also not help, my reputation was destroyed because of vexatious allegations, and malicious comments posted online by gutless, low life gutter rats that hide on the internet.

Even though we were cleared of these lies, that does not stop the bottom dwelling Keyboard warriors out there, we are lucky that in 30 years of being registered breeders, according to DogsQLD we have never had one single substantiated complaint against us, if we did do what we were accused of, we would not still be registered.

If you are interested let me know, I will be commencing action against DogzOnline in the very near future, I already have a number of people that have provided information so more the merrier.

Many Thanks Bert

Hi bert, keep me posted - dogzonline are no only unprofessional they are rude as well. Let me know if you need any more info.

Thanks Lesley

Bobtail Dobermann
Bobtail Dobermann

Hi Lesley, Thanks for that. I agree 100%, what sort of business acts the way that he does, he said to me in an email, "you will understand then that we need to protect our reputation when we have a reasonable belief that there is an issue (especially with the way social media is these days). No court is going to punish us for that ... companies do it all the time as a result of social media campaigns."

He said he had a reasonable belief, but then writes in another email "Jenny was not a member of Dogs QLD (I have not verified if this is true or not though) and therefore if it was true, we had every right to remove her as she broke one our main conditions of membership."

So he cancels our account, even though he did not even verify if the claim was true. Businesses like him need to be exposed for their actions, as I have been told he has cancelled many breeders accounts in the past with no valid reason and I intend to hold him accountable. He was concerned regarding Social Media lets see how he goes when Social Media shows how he runs his operation.

If you would like to send me any info I would be more than happy to add it to the others that have sent theirs in as well. nbbt@bobtaildobermann.com

Kind Regards Bert

Hi Bert, My problem with them was specificallyNO communication. I was reporting FALSE & MISLEADING advertising on their site and according to Fair Trading they have a responsibility in relation to same. I have no idea what they did or did not do with the information I provided to them....as I say they are useless and rude. Furthermore, if there is one false advertisement then there is bound to be more. Sadly the dog industry is out of control and it is most difficult to see how it an be reigned in when people like Dogzonline are involved.

Hope this helps. Lesley

Is there a complaints line or someone higher than dogzonline?? Would like to put in a complaint about dogzonline.. Thank you

Happy me

Good luck with that Manda. I have been trying for two month to contact them. They have no phone number and I have sent about 16 emails . I had one reply very early on from a person called [Name Removed]. He never contacted me again nor have I had any contact with any other person from DogzOnine. As a result another unscrupulous advertiser gets away with false advertising and an unsuspecting purchaser get no assistance. I have now contacted Fair Trading in Queensland - just another drawn out process. Would love to know how you get on.

Manda
Manda

Good luck with Fair Trading, hope you get some help.. [Name Removed] is very rude and will not help you at all! What we should all do is band together and take it to the media to get exposure because nothing works..

Bobtail Dobermann
Bobtail Dobermann

As per above sorry for the delay. Totally agree, if you have a read of my message above. If it is regarding a breeder all I can say is contact their breeder association, you will get no help from DogzOnline, [Name Removed] is the owner, who is more than happy to cancel peoples account that have done nothing wrong, but fails to fix his mistakes when it is shown it was all lies.

Expose DogzOnline for what it is, share the links on Social Media, when I started this thread I was the only complaint, now there are more and more, the only positive ones are obviously from some of his breeder mates that got together to improve his rating.

Look at the dates of the positive reviews, I checked them out most are breeders and nearly all done on the same date, how is that genuine reviews? Product review should remove them.

when I put information into search engines seeking dogs a box pops up stating to NEVER pay in advance to anyone due to scams- but on this web site I noted there are open requests for up front deposit and also at least one lot of feedback about someone being ' taken' by this scam - why are the administrators not addressing this issue?

We should all keep complaining about this organisation. Furthermore Dogs Queensland advise that Breeders cannot ask for deposits indvance.

Bobtail Dobermann
Bobtail Dobermann

Not sure on the context of this question. I would never pay a deposit until I spoke to the breeder, confirmed with their governing body, eg DogsQLD etc I am old school I like to speak to people and get a feel for them. But once all is agreed on, you have to put a deposit on the pup to ensure that you want to buy it and so the breeder wont sell it to some one else.

With us as we live regionally 99% of our pups go interstate or even overseas, so a deposit is needed and of course full payment before the pup even leaves. I can count on one hand the amount of people that have come locally to collect their pup.

When we sell a pup, we do the following, de-sexed, a Vet Health check, DNA tests, Vaccination, wormed up to date, treated for internal and external parasites, Micro-chipped, 6 Weeks Free Pet Insurance, Pedigreed and Registered with DogsQLD, Comprehensive care sheet, help organise transport.

Ask the breeder what they do? Check their web site for feedback from other puppy families they have helped, for instance we regularly get people that have adopted a pup from us come back to us or refer us to others, which they wouldn't do if we were scammers, over the last month alone we have had 3 families contact us for another pup.

Remember most importantly you can not please every single person all the time, what is important is that you have helped the majority of people.
