Hey does anyone else experience green poo with this formula? I'm using this as well, but baby's poo has been inconsistent- sometimes its great color n consistency, but it has been green lately.

The longer you use the formula for, the greener and worse the poo will get!

My 2 week old baby has been on s26 gold since 2 days old and has suffered a lot of wind, regurgitation and two bouts of constipation where she hasnt done a poo for 2-3 days so we are considering changing to heinz nurture gold as the reviews are great. Should we wait a bit longer and what is the best way to transition? Thanks heaps in advance for your help!!

Hi Kat, I wouldn't wait knowing what we went through. Our baby girl started at 10 weeks and it was like a different baby following that first feed. She used to vomit heaps, stop and start drinking and so much wind. I felt guilty for not switching sooner but you don't know until you think to research like my husband did. The pro biotics really help with their digestion. My honest advice just switch now, we didn't wean at all just started her with her next bottle, she loved it and not one bit of spit up and just a normal burp. You really had to see it to believe it. Give it a go, what worse can it do when she is already in uncomfortable on the s26. I suggest the gold nurture 1, we get ours from Coles or Chemist Warehouse. Let us know how u go.

When making a bottle is it okay to use room temperature water that has been boiled from the kettle? Or do you have to everytime boil the kettle fill the bottle & cool down?

Only because two different people told me this and both are adamant that their theory was right therefore I am totally confused&concerned.......HELP! please&thank-you :))

I wash all my bottles and sterilize them. My son is having 250ml a feed. So when the bottles are sterilized i fill them all up to 200ml with boiled water and put the teat and lid on and leave them in on the bench in their spot. When its time to make a bottle i boil the kettle and top it up to 250mL and this makes it the perfect temperature. Then i add the 5 scoops needed of formula. I already have this dispensed out in formula dispensers. I use two heinz baby basics formula dispensers and put 5 scoops in each compartment. I find having 6 bottles and two dispensers makes enough for 24 hours. But yes you dont need to boiled the water just before use. As long as it has been boiled before putting it in the bottles its okay. Just make sure you don't contaminate it.

Easiest to have your bottles washed, sterilised and ready, then boil the water in the kettle, fill up bottles (don't have to wait for the water to cool) and then cap the bottles and pop them in the fridge.

When it is time to feed simply microwave the bottle and then add the formula.

Preparing this way will save time and ensure the water is free of any nasties. Most baby bottles are microwave safe.

Cambi, that's a great idea and would save a lot of time! Silly me makes up the bottles, puts them in the fridge and then I reheat them in a jug of boiling water. Your way would be so much quicker!

My 8 week old baby girl has been on s26 Gold since 2 weeks old and has had constipation since she has been on it , had coloxyl drops for it from doctor. What is the difference between Nuture Original and Nuture gold, which one is the best for constipation. She also gets a bit of wind.

Hi Michelle, go with the Gold. The pre and probiotics aid with digestion and you should see quite a reduction in wind pain, as we did. No idea about the constipation but considering the nature are prebiotics and probiotics, I would think it would aid with constipation too. Best of luck and let us know how you go.

My 9 month old is on nan ha gold but it cost to much so i was wondering if heinz nurture is ok to switch to coz wen he was a baby he was very sensertive to many other but im not sure if that may still be the case ... Is there anything bad bout this formula

Jen84

I noticed after a while i was only taking it when he was really hungry otherwise he really didn't seem to like the taste... Despite of my review its still a good formula but babies kind of decide what they want.. U can try but ur bubba might not like the taste (or smell).. It did taste different from s26 gold ( i tried)

I agree with Jen above, babies get into the groove with formula (as unlike breastmilk it doesnt change at every feed) therefore you may have trouble, but it might be worth a go to get some of the little sachets from the chemist (they're under $1 each) so you're not buying a whole tin that will be wasted, and you're not throwing away money either :) hope it all goes well!

I made the switch to Heinz nurture after using karicare. I must say my son is a lot better since being on this formula and I'm still yet to come across a person who has had issues with it. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good formula!

will heniz nurture gold be not as thin as the heniz nurture is it thicker? and will it help with wind if i change?

Yazzzy

Heinz nurture gold is thinner than most formulas i have tried. İm using novalac hypoallergenic now as my daughter has milk alergy, and compared to most, and novalac, nurture is heaps thinner. İf your baby has lots of wind you can maybe try wind drops in her bottle or go on a colic formula... Good luck
