I would like to know which clippers are the easiest to use ?
When I hook up my hose reel it seems to lose pressure ,is there a restrictor in the reel itself,(good pressure at tap but loses pressure through the reel )
Hi Folks
I have bought the fertiliser spray bottle (https://www.hoselink.com.au/products/fertiliser-spray-mixer?srsltid=AfmBOopJa0gV2LUTt7OxKHCWtcyoILm5DOQtl4wKrDREhx87pCvUN5ys) and forgot to flush it out after initial use and now it's not drawing any fertiliser, so I am assuming the nozzle is clogged. Any advice on how I can unblock the filter nozzle?
If you mean the plastic tube inside the bottle (and brass flow restrictor if you are using that), just buy replacements from Hoselink. When I first used this device for the seaweed fertilizer (setting 1 with restrictor) I thought it wasn’t working. But it was - it was just a very weak solution and took a long time for the level to drop. I increased the setting to 2 and use that.
I am sorry you are having an issue with the Fertiliser not drawing up. If you can try do a little test by filling the bottle up with normal water, putting it on selection dial 10 and see if the water is sucked up. If not, it may be that the valve is faulty so if you can call us on 1300 900 617 and we can check warranty options for you.
Kind Regards, The Hoselink Team
Thank you
I have a spray wand with a twist on/off which id very hard to turn, How can I fix it so it's easier
We would suggest using pliers to loosen the lever slightly. If you are still having issues Ian please contact our customer service team on 1300 900 617 or via email hoselink@hoselink.com.au.

We have the Hoselink spray bottle, we have followed the steps as shown, but our bottle keeps filling up with water and does not suck out of the bottle. We use the green Hoselink fittings but it still does not work, it only sprays water straight from the hose, it does not go through the Hoselink spray bottle. Any help will be good. Thank You. Barry Howarth.
Hi Barry, Thanks for your detailed comments and sorry you are experiencing this issue. The Fertiliser Spray Mixer does require extremely good water pressure for the water to pass through and suck the solution up, rather than filling the bottle with water. It sounds like this could be a pressure related issue. If you have not tried before, please can you put the dial setting on number 10 and ensure the brass reducer is not being used to see if this makes a difference? If it doesn't, please contact our customer service team on 1300 900 617 and we can discuss the options.
Kind regards, The Hoselink Team

Hi, We have a hoselink battery hedge trimmer. Both li-ion batteries won’t hold a charge. One flashes red and green all the time. The other said it’s charged but only provides power for a few seconds before the power stops. Any suggestions?
Try cleaning your charge with some still wool & meto, let them dry for a day. You may have dropped the battery at some stage, I did this with one of my batteries & it would not hold charge so I had to get a new one.
Where did you get a new battery for the Hoselink hedge trimmer Guil Beath? Hoselink say they no longer stock them and we cannot find a replacement on the internet.
Our hose link fertiliser gun is working in reverse, the bottle is filling, working in reverse
Hi Jenny, Thanks for your comment and sorry to hear that. The Fertiliser Spray Mixer does require good water pressure for it to work effectively. Have you tried using it on dial 10 to see if this works? Can you confirm if you think you have good water pressure along with the name and address it was purchased under please.
Kind Regards, The Hoselink Team
My automatic tap timer is not switching off when it is supposed too, any suggestions?
Hi Grant, Thanks for your comment and sorry to hear this. Can you try taking the battery out and resetting to see if this works? If it does not, please provide the name and address it was purchased under and we can get something sorted for you.
Kind Regards, The Hoselink Team
Hi, I took the battery out and left it out for a while. It now seems to be working. Thanks for the advice.

Can you use eco oil in the Hoselink Fertiliser Spray mixer?
Hi Rina, thank you for your question! Yes you can, you will just need to premix the solution before putting it into the spray mixer! Kind regards, The Hoselink Team
My solar motion sensor path light will not come on all of a sudden . Was working fine. Still the same amount of sun exposure. Why?
Hi Kim, you did not say how old your solar path light is nor the type of rechargeable battery that is installed. If it is an old one (over four years old), the rechargeable battery might be the nickel cadmium (NiCd) variety. In that case, the battery might have had it and it is a matter of replacing the battery with a new one. These days rechargeable batteries are either nickel metal hydride (NiMH) or even better, lithium (Li). It is also possible that someone played a prank on you and switched the light off? Did you check the light was switched on and properly “activated” by pressing and holding down the mode button for at least 5 seconds.
Thanks
Hi Kim, We are sorry to hear that you have been having issues with the solar path lights. Thank you for your tips as well Bumbling Gardener. We can confirm that the path lights do have a lithium battery, so quite rare for them to have issues. As Bumbling Gardening suggested you can try resetting the lights by holding down the button for 4-5 seconds. The batteries in these lights are not replaceable I am afraid, so if holding down the button does not help please reach out to our friendly Customer Service Team and they will be happy to assist you further with this. Kind Regards, The Hoselink Team
I am having trouble with my Hoselink Fertilzer Spay dilution attachment. When I put the flow reducer in the top of the tube and try to fit it back into the top of the bottle, the whole tube just falls out before I can reassemble the bottle. So, I used it without the flow reducer and it doesn’t seem to suck up anything from the bottle. The bottle just very slowly fills with water? Is this what is meant to happen?
I suggest you give Hoselink a ring as they are very good with advise and friendly with problems . Sorry I dont have a Fertilizer spray dilution attachment. Their number is 1300 900 617 and their link is external link
They have this on their site as well if it helps read FAQ external link

Do you need to take it inside in the winter?
No
Hi there Thank you for your question here. If the temperatures where you live get to below freezing level (0 degrees) we recommend bring in any of the accessories you have. Leaving them out with water inside may cause the water to freeze and potentially damage them. If it does not get to freezing or below freezing temperatures this is not nesscarry.
Kind Regards, Hoselink Team

Hi Harry, Thank you for taking the time to ask a question. I am happy to assist you with this. The lubricant for the spray gun is a silicone based lubricant. If you wanted to give us a call on 1300 900 617, we would be happy to get some of this across to you.

Who owns Hoselink and where are the products of today produced and where do the materials come from ?
Hi Bill The founder of Hoselink in 1997 was Bill Kierath, who is still at the helm today, with some of his children. The company operates through a direct to customer website selling only to Australian consumers. This information comes from the company’s magazine, “Hoselink, Cultivating Connections” summer 2020/21 issue, p45. From the Hoselink website, I discovered that they also sell to the US market via Amazon. They now have over 40 staff, 150 products and three premises. I couldn’t find any information about where the products are manufactured or where the materials come from. I’m sure someone from the company can answer that one.
Sorry. The founder was Tim Keirath, not Bill.
Hi Bill, Hoselink is a 100% Australian-owned and family run company. Our products are manufactured in various locations including but not limited to Australia, China and Taiwan. From time to time we’re asked where our products are manufactured and we always answer this honestly. Whether a product is manufactured here in Australia or overseas, we have strict quality controls in place to ensure our customers receive the high quality product they expect from us, backed up by a Sydney based customer service team. Kind regards, The Hoselink Team
