Dear Sir/Madam,
I have noticed this evening that a red light is continually flashing on the solar inverter.
I have followed the shutdown procedure as per section 3 in the users manual (switching the solar supply switch off at the meter box Then switching the PV Array DC isolator to OF
Then as to restart I then switched the PV Array DC Isolator switch to ON, then turned the Solar supply main switch to ON.
This made no difference and the red light still flashes is this normal? I have now turned the solar system off for the moment.
Would someone be able come out and check the system please.
Regards,

Hello, my name is Mark my marks 5kw system was fitted in 2014, and up to now have had only a few small issues, but on cleaning my solar panels today i have found several with water marks under the outer panel, one is even all green with slime. Please contact me regarding this issue, i am in south east Qld 07 55468008
When does the 44c rebate on my solar panels expire and what action am I required to take
Hi guys ive already got solar system installed from you guys but are having issues can someone please call me on 0419617553 nowra nsw. Thanks Todd.
Hi Todd, If this is a current enquire 11/19 I have bad news for you. Mark Group solar has been taken over by Solgen NSW and you would go a long way to find a less helpful company. We have had trouble with the Fronius inverter (two replacements in 7 years). Solgen impossible to get in touch with and sadly Fronius not much better so good luck. Stevo
Have a 3kw system in ballarat victoria. Am getting a "consistent fault" message which I am resetting to no success as it keeps happening. Being at work early I don't know when it does it, I just find it when I get home.
Have emailed several times with no response and tried calling at 10am today to be met with a message telling me it was after hours (Thursday) and to leave a message. Having read these posts I worry the company won't bother. Please Michael from Mark group call me on 0405669967 or email me at smailly1@yahoo.com.au.
Thanks!
Jamie
Thanks for your note James and for your time on the phone this afternoon. We’ve been through massive change here at Mark Group including new (Australian) ownership and an all new management team who are totally committed to our customers. We are keen to resolve any outstanding issues as soon as possible and as discussed on the phone just now we will do a technical review of your case tomorrow to decide on the next steps.
Have been very impressed by the response from Mark Group in relation to the issue raised here. A guy called Arnulf has rung several times to clarify my situation and has said a warranty claim regarding the Samil inverter has been commenced. Has promised to keep me updated on the progress of said claim.
Am very happy with the response and hope the ongoing situation resolves smoothly.
Further to the last comment I've been surprised and pleased at the prompt and painless change over of my defective unit. Was done only a few days ago by the tech from Mark Group while I was at work. Despite the doom and gloom posts here my result has been resoundingly positive. The bloke I dealt with was incredibly helpful and I'm really happy with the outcome.
Thanks Mark Group.
Hi i was just wondering how long it takes to get your initial design email?
Hi "Wondering", sorry this message was missed on the forum. I hope your question was resolved, otherwise please feel free to contact us at technicalservices@markgroup.com.au.
From an overall recommendation would any or you recommend Mark Group for solar panels?
Yes, I would recommend Mark Group. They got the job done and I haven't had any problems in 8 months since the instal. I didn't shop around much and you may find a better value product elsewhere.
No way will I ever recommend Mark Group. Try getting a reply when you have a problem and see how you go.
No, i had a rep come out, and he was very polite and efficient until it came to talking money. He quoted me $6500 for a 4kwh which was compatible with others i had spoken to,. but at the time i was not ready to committ. So after trying for about an hour to get me to put down a small deposit for the contract he had filled out{ unbeknown to me at the time}, and also telling me that they had a easter special on which would save me $900 (which he failed to mention in the first 2 hours that he was here} i smelt a rat and told him dont ring me, i will ring you if i am interested. If the company is so good why do they have to pressure to get sales?
Yes so correct they dropped the quote by thousands as well to me after making a call to a so called manager. And they didn't explain the benefits and down falls of the systems kwts. I got another company to do my system and they were very polite, knowledgable, and contactable. The job was done on time and very reliable not like some.
NO! Whilst their pre-sales service may be very good - their After Sales is TERRIBLE. Apparently they 'email' the Service Department with any problems - trouble is if these emails do exist they never get actioned upon or answered.
If I hadn't phoned and DEMANDED to speak with management I have no doubt that I would still be waiting for my $10,000 5Kw system to be fixed.
Even faxing the CEO didn't produce a result.
If you're going to spend this kind of money you should at least be able to expect a service response within 24 hours.
Read my review: NO Way ! Further to this review, I later found that the electrician had moved several tiles for access to the roof. These tiles were not moved back and that area of the roof was left open to the elements.
The result of this was that water entered the conduit that connected the isolator switch.
The DC in the isolator switch caused electrolysis and I had to get it replaced.
Very shoddy work.
Absolutely! The whole experience was made really simple. One of the best decisions we have made.
No Way, very poor installation of panels and after sale service,
No, terrible customer service after installation. I don't know how this company is still able to operate. If they don't attempt to resolve my issue by the end of this week I'll take my matter with them to the Office of Fair Trading.
No. Salesman cam out and he was very "nice". We signed up. System was installed. Error code on inverter straight up. They blamed Ergon. Ergon came out said voltage was fine. Mark Group eventually changed the upper limit for voltage. We were told we needed a line upgrade grade. Mark Group lost the paper work then told us we had to do it. Ergon came out and said you don't need a line upgrade. All through this process we were hounded for payment. Luckily we told them from day one we will not pay a cent until everything is sorted. I can only guess what crap we would still be putting up with if we had paid up front. Do not pay up front! That would be my recommendation to anyone. It is your only bargaining chip to make sure the job gets finished. Salesman never contacted us again throughout and wouldn't answer my calls.
Has anyone had a problem with Mark group and their pricing? I have had inconsistencies with the full price. It keeps changing. They want to charge me over $10,000 for a 4kWh system. It was not what I was quoted. And, having to pay a finance company more than I should.
I was quoted $7150 for a 4kw system but I have grave concerns about the company's honesty add the quote kept getting less the more times I said NO!
The price didn't change, maybe I should have said no a few times. It's their installation that we are having the problems with. They also neglected to tell us we would need to have a smart meter fitted, which cost us $344 and took a couple of months to happen.
Paid $6,600 for a 5 kW a Excellent experience No problems last 12 months Saving USA lot Estimated pay back 5 years
just got quoted $10,000 or 8500 cash for 5kw system on renesola panels made in china and solamax inverter. seems expensive as solargain offered same renesolar panels for $6100 for 5kw system
We had our system installed approx 18 months ago and we couldnt be happier. It does take some fiddling about while new meter is installed and then the inspector arrives then the sorting out of contracts but the installation etc was excellent and the electrical inspector was impressed with the installation team as well.
I was quoted $14,000 for the best 4Kw system they had but settled for the second best for $9,000 and got that down to $8,454. I don't believe I got a discount I think the sales people just pull a figure out of the air and work on you from there. Renesola panels and solamax inverter. Huge discount they told me. Sales told me she has never seen the boss bring the system down that low before, he is really pushing the Mark now and he must authorise this with a number. Wow that is low she said. Now look at the comment 2 above they were offered same price for a 5Kw system. What a wrought it all is.
iv paid 5300 for a 4kw system
