WARNING - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I wish I had reviewed all of these negative reviews before I had booked a service from Movee.

I'm posting this in the hope that someone will heed the warning and avoid the same issues I have encountered.

The website states that their service costs $60 to $80 per half hour. However, they charge much more than that: they have a min two hours work charge at a rate of AED 155 per hour, they charge an additional AED 155 in travel time, plus a 10% booking fee. I paid AUD 511.50 for a 45 min job.

They also tried to make me pay an additional AUD 50 - disregarding the AED 50 deposit that I had already paid.

The icing on the cake - their team behaved like thugs. They refused to leave my property until the payment was processed, behaving in a threatening manner to my property managers for over an hour during the time that I was waiting for their admin to revise the invoice to reflect the deposit that I had already paid so that I could make the payment. They only left after I threatened to call the police - then they continued to skulk outside my property for ages until their admin confirmed to them the receipt of the payment.

Hi Movee - I have asked this a few times and you have never responded. How do you know your "service providers" are up to the task? How do you check their experience, insurance and fleet? Do you do criminal background checks? Please post up some information about your sub-contractor selection process because it sounds like you hire anyone with a truck. Please answer this question.

This sounds suspiciously like another company that a current affair done a story on. I believe consumer affairs even put out a warning about them. Their reviews are fake. Seriously filter to just the low reviews and that is what you are truly getting. Be very careful.

Have you ever provided a review that you believed to be a reflection of those who assisted you? Well Take care.. MOVEE is a company who use their reviews about the workers on the day, for their own personal promotion. They care less on who they employ. They take credit for the hard work of others. Then manipulate the client to provide a review for the hard working contractors yet it is only for themselves, as those they contract to may never receive the review or sometimes their payment. Never review a company who contracts others without full understanding of who the review benefits, do you agree?

Movee removalists is a company who fabricates issues and benefits off others hard earned work and those who work see no benefit.

Please see the platform functionality and all the reviews given by the customer which is all multi-color mentioning about the service provider's hard work and feedback for them. Our team constantly in touch of the service provider companies about the feedback we receive whether positive or negative and all feedback is valuable. Movee organize the jobs and allocate to one of the SP from the pool of service provider companies and the team at the back end works endless to get the job completed which includes from the booking confirmation, to the coordination of the job on the day and live support, etc. The feedback we receive is based on the full service has been provided 9from booking to the job completion) and not limited to just one part of the job.

Exactly. You have to pay extra for insurance that other companies have. My movers were not experienced in high rise apartment moves and it cost me a lot more because of that.

Yes they are, no doubt due to the negative press from A Current Affair so they changed their name on the 16th of February to throw off consumers into thinking they were an honest business. Scamming Non Australian Consumer Law Compliant company. Avoid them like the plague they will rip you off.

All of their good reviews come in batches - at the same time and have the same pattern and structure i,e, 4 sentances and exactly the same key words and phrases

Just incredible these scammers ares still in operation!! I was scammed by them by reading a good review on this site, as I did not read the one star ones. Product review has to vet these false 'good reviews'!!

I guess I was lucky today because I had two nice guys that helped me and were really efficient - carried stuff up 6 flights no complaint and did everything in under an hour; I did however book for a two and a half hour job because no company wanted to take my job otherwise and it was urgent so I decided to take the fall for that! The movers were nice guys but I think the actual company isn’t run very well; I got a call from another removalist saying they were outside my old house and I’m like uhmmm I got people here already…

When you outsource a job - maybe tell the client who the contractors/service providers are i.e. what company they work for. That way people can complain directly to them? Because of course you hire only responsibly trained professionals to do this work right?

Lol. They are the same company. Just a name change. Paying big money for leads, re: top of the list when you search etc, all over the place when searching for removalists. Changing the name doesn’t account for all the nasty things they have done to peoples furniture, not paying for damages, withholding payments to their staff, pushing them into signing contracts of servitude etc. Whilst the owner runs around in high end cars, buying/building houses and is a big show off at the expense of others!

They try to make the clients review the movers who they set for the job. They call and they make you review the people who come to your house and make it look like it is their companies review. DO NOT book with this company, please!

Also, do not even bother to read their responses they are manipulating and fabricating for their own benefit. If only I read more reviews. I have a very reputable degree and am appalled not only in their audacity and lack of “professionalism” but also in myself for my unusually easily swayed sale. Dealing with Movee will only cause unnecessary stress. Please value these negative reviews as they are absolutely appalling and should be removed from clients search options.

@Sarah - yes, I noticed with all of the 5 star reviews with screenshots of the invoices - the screenshots are taken whilst the person is on a phone call. This wouldn’t be strange if it was here or there, but almost every screenshot is taken whilst the person is on a phone call - it has to make you wonder, are they on the phone with Movee, being told exactly what to do “take a screenshot of your invoice, now go to product reviews and leave a 5 star review”.

It’s very suspicious.
