Ozito PCS-305 Questions & Answers

Sorry but I don't know. I have never had to overhaul the diaphragm/carburettor. Despite flogging it for over ten years, I have only cleaned the air filter, and chain and bar mtn. I can't remember when I had to replace the spark plug or never had to replace the primer bulb which normally only last a few years. It has me so impressed that l bought a 2nd hand 406 16" ozito which was like new. But I have not used it much and it is nothing special, it cuts well but I replaced the spark plug in very short time and no end of problems with the chain oiler requiring frequent attention.

Hi Mick. Firstly you have almost given it a Birthday. Suggestion, Petrol no less than 95 Ron, mix 50 : 1. New plug (important). If it won't start. Pull out the plug and pour raw Petrol directly into the plug hole, insert plug and pull pull pull. Next step. Tape the throttle on full speed, no choke and pull pull. Trust me it'll go. Mine is a 2013 from memory (green body) I also have a (12" bar) Grey body. Both great little giants. I mainly use my Husqvarna for large operations and my smaller Stihl for general fire word gathering, BUT ....the baby Ozito sits next to either of them in the bush.

Forgot to mention. Ozito recommend 40:1 ratio. As these little saws are mainly yard saws, 50:1 is ideal and keeps the internal workings clean and easy to start.. BUT use good fuel and good oil.

The full range of OZITO chainsaws use any standard BAR OIL. Bunnings or most hardware places stock it. BAR OIL is particularly sticky for want of a better word. ANY BAR OIL.

By treating your chainsaw with the correct, clean products it will keep on doing its job for years to come. Good oil, fuel mix, chain care.

Hi Jo, look for 3/8LP 050 45DL specs... For a 12" bar. If search google for that you will find them. I tried my local mower place but they didn't want to help as I didn't buy the saw from them so found the chain online

I haven't had to replace mine yet but if you have been able pull the saw apart or gain access to the primer bulb, take it out and head to a mower shop and they should be able to supply one. Most of the time this part is a generic one size fits all piece. If you need more help search youtube for "How to replace fuel line on 25cc chainsaw". This saw is basically the same and the video will guide you through the process of dismantling.

Any mower shop have them. Turn the saw over take off the air clear and the screws holding the primer bulb are easy to access. take it off , put it in your pocket and head to any mower or chain saw place and walk out about $6 lighter and a new bulb. KEEP the frame that holds the bulb. Job done. Dont forget to wear a mask.

I have for about 1 year and yes it takes unleaded mixed with 2 stroke oil like all chainsaws that have a motor.

Bought mine new mid-2015 (grey coloured housing, red coloured controls/fuel & oil caps). Uses unleaded with a 40:1 fuel/oil mix ratio.

40:1. DONT USE E FUEL Ethanol eats rubber and pipes, including fragile diaphragm within the carburetor. Basically any other fuel with quality two stroke engine oil mix. Job done.
