Can you put pet doors in your roller shutters
Hi Ronnie. As a singular shutter no you can not put a pet door in, you would need two separate shutters to create a pet door
Team OzShut
What qualifications do a installer have to judge if my home has asbestos in the walls. He refused my install unless i go electric or have someone come and do a asbestos test.
I'd suggest try someone else, I did not have a great experience with these Muppets. I don't trust them.
Hi Jackie. Thank you for your question, many of our installers have been with us for many years now and are very familiar with what could be asbestos. Due to the nature of asbestos we would never want to put an installer in possible harms way which i am sure you could appreciate. If you would like us to send out another installer for a second opinion we would be more than happy to accommodate.

No new installer....not interested, feeling very upset and miss treated.
I'm sorry but your installer must have been some kind of stupid if he really thought it was asbestos why DID he drill a hole in the wall? Which you should be repairing? Secondly how can you not know the difference from gyprock and asbestos. I'm sorry but you are not in the right here the installer was late judge the job from the start didnt even want to do the job.
HI Jackie & Craig. Thank you for getting in touch. If one of our installers has made a mistake we will certainly deal with it and certainly don't want to leave you with anything but a positive experience with us.
If i can ask you to contact myself on 9208 7888 so that i can look into this personally for you.

No one contacted me until i write something on product review. So it shows to me you don't care about your customers. Not interested in your product. Will be going somewhere else.
I've sent an email for a quote but need to know how much work is required inside for an electric system and the likely costs involved. The windows are quite wide at about 3m to 4m and maybe 2m high. Wanting two of these large windows done.
Absolutely pathetic. Took ages to get back to us. Once installed, they decided that one of the windows needed an electric shutter AFTER installing it and didn't advise us of the $500 fee. They then took 2 weeks to instal the electric point.
Then they forgot to put the stripes on the shutters and took 3 months to get back to us about the complaint. They blamed mum for not checking the contract. Well mum has never seen their previous contract and how was she meant to know it was meant to stipulate that the shutter has a stripe? So now we're stuck with plain shutters that look boring.
I was a witness when mum chose the shutters.
Absolutely pathetic, inaccurate and slow service.
Hi Cameron. Thank you for your question. I am sorry to hear that you haven't had a great experience with us. If i could please ask you to contact myself directly on 9208 7888 i would like to see if we can restore your faith.

What's with signing a contract. I tend to get quotes and then sign the quote and that should be it. If there is any fine print I would take it to a lawyer first, in fact I probably wouldn't buy in the first place. When we had the air conditioner put in the sales guy came out and I said yes and away he went and the same for the new gas hot water system. Never remembered signing any contract first.
How do you clean the inside of the shutters?
We have sliding Windows so. The open side is ok but the fixed side is near on impossible.
Although we do not have OzShut roller shutters I imagine this question would be relevant to all brands of roller shutters. If you have the roller shutters down but open with all the little slits opened the water should be able to enter the slits and thereby clean the inside of the roller shutters. I would recommend using a pressure washer for the sheer power as opposed to a garden hose.
Closes shutters but leave the slats open (tiny vent holes) and hole with high pressure hole or strong nozzle. That's how maintainenc guy explained it years ago however, I've not needed to do this except to wash outside and joins. Hope that helps
