Will this Penrite SIN 15-40 engine oil perform better than magnatec 10-40 in my Saab 9.5 SE turbo ? Can someone help me. Thankyou
Hello Ron, you have not specified what engine and year your car is. If it is a late model (2005+) 2.3 petrol turbo then you should consider Penrite "ten tenths 0w50". This is thinner when cold (0w) for easier starting and quicker turbo spooling but has the protection factor of a 50 weight oil when hot.
Hey Mike, do you think an SR20 engine would work well with the 5w30 'ten tenths'? I tried 10w40 but it is too thick, seems to take longer to rev and use more fuel than on other 40wt oils.
I mean I tried the 'ten tenths' 10w40. I've run that weight in other oils before, but in 'ten tenths' it's too thick I feel, not sure if 5w30 will be sufficient (it's a turbo) but I'm thinking it would probably be okay since it supposedly uses very high quality base stocks, so may not thin out as much as other oils?
