After reading the reviews I will go elsewhere, lucky my wife told me ro check reviews

Always advisable to read the reviews in advance. I wish I had done so myself.

Did you get a refurbished computer from elsewhere or end up buying new? The pricing from Reboot are extremely tempting.

I work at Reboot-it, (not putting year from/to or name). All these problems that people are having is because us as staff aren't allowed to approve anything. Everything has to go through the owner and he's one of those guys that wants to micro-manage everything. None of the stock we get in is installed with an operating system, when we get orders they are picked and installed and tested to the best of our ability. If there's a problem with stock levels or parts are needed, we need to put in a request for that part to be purchased (and the boss needs to approve it before we can even buy that part, not to mention he does not want to spend money and makes us search older stock to see if they have the required part, which has already been done in most cases).

Thanks for your honesty, Reboot-worker. I would like to say that things have improved in the two years since you posted this message, but it seems that they haven't. If a customer gets a good device, it's great (like the Lenovo workstation I'm currently using). But if something's develops a fault (like my second purchase, a Lenovo laptop), good luck getting a warranty claim. Their ticketing system is currently faulty (at least for me), so you can't read their responses on the website. Not terribly happy, Jan.

I am a former employee of this "business"... I agree 100% with Reboot-worker and i can confirm that, but to add to it, the micro managing is off the scale and nobody can harvest parts any more without approval from the owner, who holds all the parts. Trouble there is there are plenty of laptops there that are in need of repair and apparently, from what i'm told, the owner refuses to answer requests for parts, and is also knowingly and willingly sending out faulty equipment, such as laptops, with broken USB ports with the LIVE metal prongs still in there. all it will take is one poor primary school child to plug a stick in and get electrocuted... or worse. Past employees have taken him to court over being underpaid, AND WON. His latest admin assistant just quit, probably for the same reason the previous one did... And he also stings refund customers with a 25% "re-stocking fee". I have so much information on this business and how that idiot runs it that A Current Affair could make an hour long episode out of it and have trouble deciding what to include. It's like this guy is trying to run his own business into the ground.
