I would recommend reading through the sample report we have listed on our website, as well as the list of what is/isn't checked during the inspection to confirm what we do cover as in the case of older vehicles there may be areas that you require checked that aren't able to be done via a mobile inspection.

Hi So I understand the inspector plugs in to attain diagnostics from the engine. What is the procedure regarding an older car without the computers?

Hi There, If the vehicle isn't fitted with a computer, or has a non-compatible computer which can be the case in vehicles over a certain age then this component of the inspection won't be completed.

We will still check for any signs of warning lights/issues that trigger when the vehicle is operational however.

Hi Tia, Thanks for getting in touch. Rideshare vehicles will not pass inspection if they have a towbar/tongue fitted at time of inspection. In regards to the panel damage to the vehicle without being able to see the damage it is difficult to state whether this would cause the vehicle to fail, but depending on how extensive that is it may cause the vehicle to fail.

Hi Shiva, Thanks for getting in touch. It will depend on which state your planning to drive Didi in as each has different rules regarding new vehicles. You would be best to contact Didi directly to confirm if they will accept new vehicles with no inspection.

A crack of that size would likely be a roadworthy issue as well and will require fixing before passing an annual inspection for rideshare.

Hi Md, Brand new vehicle do not always require rideshare inspections as Uber will accept some dealer documents in place of our inspection report.. To confirm which documents regarding the vehicle Uber requires from the Dealership you will need to contact them directly however, as they will ask for details regarding new vehicles.

Hi Simran, Thank you for getting in touch. It will depend on what inspection you are looking to have completed on your vehicle. If it is an inspection for Rideshare purposes a faded bonnet will likely result in a vehicle failing its inspection as it does not meet most rideshare company standards.

Hi There, Thanks for getting in touch. You will need to confirm with the relevant rideshare company as to their policy regarding accepting Roadworthy Certificates to operate on their platforms, but it is our understanding that they will accept them in certain circumstances.

You would be best to contact Uber or Didi directly to confirm however.

Hi Jaban,haveing scuff marks on your bumber is not a defect and should pass fine,if the bumber bar is insecure or loose in any way this will be defectable and may not pass.

The paint is completely off for 10 cm² but bumper is secure and not loose.

Hi Joban, It will depend on which inspection you are having completed. If you are having your vehicle inspected for Rideshare purposes any significant scuffs or damage to the bumper may cause the vehicle to be failed, and would be best repaired before attending the inspection.

Hi Garry, yes i light meter should be used to check the light transmission through the glass,window tint if too dark will not pass a anual safety inspection and is also defectable by police,window tint that has started to bubble or come away from the glass is also defectable.

Hi Garry, For Roadworthy and Rideshare Inspections we do check the tint percentage which can result in a failed report if it does not fall within legal limits. It may be worth checking the specific guidelines for tinting windows in your state to confirm if the window tint is likely to cause issues during an inspection.

Hi Vishal, that is correct. If you are changing the registration plates on your vehicle you will require a new inspection be done on your vehicle for rideshare.

If there are bubbles in your rear window tint it will need to be rectified before passing inspection.
