Hi Britax, I have the Millenia, I have huge kids and my daughter has a genetic disorder that impacts her height and mobility as well as muscle strength, we want her rear facing as long as possible but she is very heavy, chonky Bub. She is not going to outgrow the height limit for a long time due to her disorder but I can’t find any information about a weight limit? Is there a maximum weight a child can be to use the seat full stop, and is there a maximum weight a child can be to continue rear facing? My child is/will be well above the average weight/age of a child that is past the height markers so I don’t feel that they are helpful to us. Thanks
Hi Erika, The Australian standard no longer testes to weight as a rule for children. A child's weight also does not determine when they can and cannot use the seat. Age is used as a guide and height is the rule. Kind Regards the Britax Safe-n-sound team
How do we make the strap of millennia plus longer ?
Hi Surendra, thank you for your message, as per the instruction manual you need to push the adjuster button and pull out the harness and then move the head rest please see the below video link how to use. external link Kind Regards the Britax Team

Hello, I've had my britax millennia for less than 3yrs and the seat belt tightener thing has broken and now we can't use the seat. Is it covered under warranty?
Hi Jenna, thanks for your message and we are sorry to hear about your experience. Can you please email us photos of the issue and a copy of your purchase receipt to us at aunz-support@britax.com so we can point you in the right direction. Kind regards, the Britax team.
How do you remove the staps off a millenia+
I have the Britax millenia sict and it says it has four recline positions in forward facing but no matter how much a play around with it there are only two, straight up and slightly reclined. My son's head falls forward when ever he's sleeping and it's really frustrating as it says it should have two more recline positions but it doesn't.
Hi Elsie, thanks for your question. There are 4 reclines include upright and fully recline. I would suggest that you remove the seat from your vehicle and place it completely upright then work through the position slowly. If you're still unable to find the four position please feel free to give us a call on 1300 303 330 so we can point you in the right direction. Kind regards, the Britax team.
Hi there, does anyone know if you’re able to purchase the newborn inserts for the Millenia? We seem to have misplaced ours and need one for baby #2.
Hi Angela, thanks for your question. Britax do have any accessories pack available that includes the insert, shoulder pads and crotch pad, these are only available in the kohl black colour. Please email us at au-support@britax.com if you would like to check availability and pricing. Kind regards, the Britax team.
Thanks so much ☺️
Hi. I was wondering at what stage do I take the newborn inserts out of the Millenia?
Hi Ciara, thanks for your question. The insert is a comfort item, not a safety item therefore, you can remove this part when you feel tat your little one no longer requires the extra padding. Kind regards, the Britax Childcare team.
Hi there, why has the Millenia been discontinued? I’ve read in some of the questions that you’ve introduced a new range, but why retire this product and not keep making it?
Hi Helen H, thanks for your question. There are many reasons why products get discontinued or replaced. Please be assured that Britax never replaces a model unless it is certain of the newer models performance. The Millenia is now being replaced by B First ifix which includes our screw out Torso and Head SICT. If you have any further questions, please feel free to email au-support@britax.com Kind regards, the Britax Childcare team.
We have the Millenia and have been told by Qantas our 2 year old needs a car seat on an international flight - is this seat suitable?
Hi Alex, thanks for your question. The Britax Safe-n-Sound Millenia is aircraft compatible in Australia & New Zealand and carries the green Civil Aviation Safety Authority label. You would need to discuss using this seat on an international flight with Qantas as this would be up to them. Kind regards, the Britax team.
Ok thanks. Where is the green label located on the seat? It’s fixed to the car currently and I can’t seem to find it on the sides. Is it underneath the seat?
Hi Alex, the sticker is located on the back the seat near the manufacturing label.
Hi, can you please advise why the Millenia is now discontinued? I understand the b-First iFix provides the newest techno logo, but have not had or heard good reviews (like the Millenia) about the latest addition.
We’ve had a Millenia for our now 2.5 year old daughter since she was born, and have had a no issues. Why take something off the market if it has good uptake and reputation?
I was wondering the same thing, I have my four year old in one and wanted another blue one for my six month old bub. I have only been able to find the Millenia+ at Baby Bunting in Grey Opal, but no other variants.
Hi Anne-maree M. Thanks for your question. There are many reasons why products get discontinued or replaced. Please be assured that Britax never replaces a model unless it is certain of the newer models performance. If you would like some further information about the Britax Safe-n-Sound B-First ifix, please feel free to email au-support@britax.com along with your questions so we can further assist you and address any concerns you have read from reviews. Kind regards, the Britax Childcare team.
Hi Britax, I would also like to know why the Millenia has been discontinued as you did not replace it with a direct replacement. The B-first is too big for many cars and the Graphene does not come with the same conveniences.
Will you be introducing a mid sized convertible seat similar in size to the Millenia in the futre?
Regards,
Hi has anyone taken the shoulder straps of and how do you get them back through the tinny slits? The wife took them out to soak and can’t for the life of me get them back in.
Hi paul c. Thanks for your question. Please feel free to either email us photos of the currently condition of your seat so we can further assist you or we can refer you to a repair agent who can also assist you. au-support@britax.com
Kind regards, the Britax Childcare team.
I’ve heard that isofix installation shouldn’t be used once the combined weight of the child + seat reaches a certain point. Is that accurate for Millenia (and/or the Graphene, we have one of each)? If so, what’s the weight limit? Thanks.
Hi Charlene, thanks for your question. The Australian Standard (AS/NZS 1754:2013std) limits the use of ISOFIX anchorages rearward and forward facing seats (Type A and Type B) from Birth up to approximately 4 years. This is because the car's anchorages may not be suitable for heavier children in larger restraints beyond Type B, e.g. Type E (boosters) or Type G (up to 8 years). Although Type B (forward facing 6month – 4 years) seats are designed to accommodate children up to approximately 4 years of age, the height marker on the seat will dictate when the child has outgrown it. The AS/NZS 1754:2013std does not reference child weight as a guide to transitioning children to the next seat.
If your child is over 4 years of age and their shoulders are still within the height marker guidelines, your child can safely continue to be seated in the 0-4 (Type AB) child car seat. Kind regards, the Britax team.
Thanks for your response. My question wasn’t about transitioning to the next seat though, it was about use of isofix vs seatbelt installation as I heard that isofix installation shouldn’t be used when combined weight of the seat and child is greater than 18kg (for some car seats) and I want to know if this applies to the Millenia. It sounds like it doesn’t but can you confirm? I’m concerned as my child is currently 17kg and her seat is installed using isofix (note, she is is under 4 years of age and within the height marker guidelines). Thanks.
Thanks for your reply Charlene, both the Britax Safe-n-Sound Millenia and Britax Safe-n-Sound Graphene can continue to use the ISOFIX connections as long as your child reaches under the top shoulder height marker, there are no weight limits, We hope this helps. Kind regards, the Britax team,
Why is Millenia being discontinued?
Hi Pia, the Millenia has been retired as we have introduced our newest member to the Britax family the b-First iFix which provides all our newest technology - external link kind regards, the Britax team.
That does not answer the question at all. Please answer the question about why it is being discontinued.
Hi, Is this seat suitable for small car, mine is Toyata yaris 2010 ( sedan model). Thanks
Hi Amber D. Thanks for your question. Unfortaunrly we cannot give guarantees that certain configurations will work in particular cars. We do recommend a resource called external link where they trial (most, not all) cars with different configurations using our products to help consumers with fitment. We also suggest visiting a store and asking if you can try the seats in the back before you purchase. Kind regards, the Britax Childcare team.
Hi I have the Millenia Plus but the buckle sits extremely low and means that’s the leg strap cut across her legs. It is almost as if the buckle needs to be release and lengthened somehow. Any ideas?
Hi Hannah, thanks for your question. We suggest emailing us some photos to au-support@britax.com so we can further assist you and make some suggestions. Kind regards, the Britax Childcare team.
Can a child over 4 years sit in this seat if they’re below the marker or is it strictly up to 4 years
Hi Payton B. Thanks for your question. Age is used as a guide whereas height is the rule. If your child is 4 years old and is still under the dotted line on the last marker, they can still sit in the seat until they come over the dotted line. Kind regards, the Britax Childcare team.
If a 4 year old isn’t above the markers can they stay in this seat despite it only being 0-4 years
Hi Payton B. Thanks for your question. Age is used as a guide whereas height is the rule. If your child is 4 years old and is still under the dotted line on the last marker, they can still sit in the seat until they come over the dotted line. Kind regards, the Britax Childcare team.
Hi. I removed the cover for wash. But I could not figure out where to put a small clip thing on both of the sides where there are elastic strips as well as a small clip? Do you have video or pictures showing how to install the cover back on? Thanks
Hi Vero, thanks for your question. Please contact us on 1300 303 330 so we can further assist you with re attaching your covers. Kind regards, the Britax Childcare team.
