I am descaling but nothing is coming out of the wand just water from the centre coffee dispenser everything appears to be clean on the wand itself? The machine prompts me to descale every time I turn it on. Help please?!
Have run descale mode now 3 times the orange steam light will not stop flashing
Hi Wally W, At the end of the rinse cycle, press and hold the steam button to purge any remaining water in the system. This will switch off the orange light. Regards Smeg
Hi! My coffee machine seems to have lost pressure, so that when the basket fills with water it doesn’t come through. Rather the water just sits in the basket and flows back into the machine. I have cleaned, descaled and scrubbed to ensure there isn’t a blockage. Any ideas?
The orange light appeared on my espresso maker so I ran a descale cycle and rinse successfully. The orange light was still on so I tried to run one more descale, but now when I do the final sequence in starting the descale nothing happens. Not sure what to do. Seems like it can still make a drink fine but I’m worried I won’t be able to get rid of the orange light or descale in the future :/

done that it turned off after then when i put it on same orange flashing and descale light on done 10 rinse cycles invain

I have just set up my machine and have attempted to rinse it but no water will pump through and it seems to be quite loud Any ideas?

Hi There, How long will my espresso machine last? It has been working perfectly for 4 years now...now it won't push any coffee through the group head. Water is working and I have cleaned the group head? But nothing coming through its all jamming up. Could the beans be grinded too fine? What else? I have been trying hard to trouble shoot myself. As I said 4 years old, I'm not sure of the model, not doubt Smeg has probably upgraded their espresso machines? Thanks in advance ☺️
Dear buggalugs, Thanks for your enquiry. Are you experiencing this using the two cup filter or the one cup filter? If the beans are ground too fine, it may lead to the filter getting clogged up. Regards Smeg

I have this same problem! Have tried descaling, but everything is working well. But the water gets stuck in the baskets and then overflow in the sides. Cleaned the baskets, but as the basket is pressurised with dual walls.. I’ve been trying to separate even these wall to clean inside, but I’m not able to open it. Is it even possible to open? Even one of the baskets that I’ve maybe used only once isn’t working either. So is the problem in the basket or maybe something else?

Hi Yolanda M., Leave the drip tray out until the light starts to flash and then reinsert it. Sometimes is you do this step too quickly, the machine doesn't have time to reset. Regards Smeg
Hello ! I had the same problem with my machine… every time I switch it on, it shows the light of coffee ground container is full, I already emptied, reset it and it works… but then I switch off and switched on again and the same error comes… the machine is new.. it’s my first day !
Machine makes first cup perfectly BUT making a second cup hardly any coffee comes out at all Flow close to zero Water is very soft Grind for 2nd cup the same Ideas?

I’ve had my machine for three years and love it. Yesterday coffee stopped coming out. Lots of water sprays everywhere but no coffee. I tried removing the filter and scrubbing it and boiling it in vinegar and water. It’s made no difference. I’m using the ese pod filter. Help! I love my machine and my coffee and am feeling so sad about this!

Only the 2 white lights will come on when I turn my machine on. The orange light isn’t turning on and now no steam will come out. I’ve descaled the machine and still the orange light wont come on.
Hi NK, The orange light will only come on when descaling is required. If you require steam, you need to press the steam button and wait until the white LED stops flashing. Regards Smeg

Can someone please help. I always have trouble descaling my machine. Today it is just producing steam the water has not moved. I have watched videos on how to do it. Followed the Manuel step by step but it will not descale.

Hello since 3 days my SMEG only delivers a small quantity of water and it stops. I have tried to reprogram the quantity of water but nothing happens, tried to reset factory settings no better and when I try to keep the button pressed the machine stops delivering water after 3 or 4 seconds. Any idea ?

Hi, i descaled my coffee machine yesterday. Everything went well, but now when i turned it on this morning to make a cup of coffee, all 3 buttons at the top keeps flashing all at the same time and i can't seem to do anything. Do you know what i need to do to fix it ? Thanks.

Descaled my coffee machine a week ago orange light went off but now my machine will not work it's Asif the machine is still in descaling mode. I have tried switching it off and un plugging it but when I switch it on again the same happens not sure if this is repairable . Any ideas?
