Just transferred from FTTN to FTTP and received a new Telstra modem and purchased a $140 per month business package promising 100 download. Never get more than 50-70 and test day and night. Always get told it is working at Telstra end so what does anyong suggest. Just using a Dell desk top for my business.
$60 per month plan but each monthly bill is coming in with an extra $5 added to it and making the bill $65 per month and then when you ring up to query it because it's not the right price they say, Oh guess what your eligible for a $5 a month discount ???? Does anyone else find this happening to their bills and does anyone else think they are hoping to get the extra $5 a month out of us and hope we wont contest it ?? Just curious.
I've been with Telstra for years but I keep getting random dropouts (which they vehemently deny - apparently it is interference from my end). I would like to change to another provider. But will this fix the dropouts? or is it an NBN infrastructure issue?

Today received 4 calls from “Telstra Technical Support”, all Indians, all major call centres as evidenced by the background noise, all wanting access to my computer for various reasons, all giving employee numbers when asked, and all bogus. These are major call centres bases in India whose business model is scamming Australians out of their money. They go so far as to give out their phone number to call to check their employee number. To try and call a real Telstra number to check will take 20 minutes minimum, assuming you get through at all. It’s been going on for years and Telstra in my opinion is complicit by allowing it to continue and do nothing about it. How many more Australians will be scammed by these criminal enterprises while Telstra sits by with their thumb up their bum is anyone’s guess. Maybe some of the corporate bonuses should be skimmed off and given to the people that have been scammed out of their life savings. My question is why don’t Telstra and or NBN have a dedicated line that you can call to check an employee number without having to trawl through 20min of robocalls to talk to a real person? Even then unless you’re calling to sign up or buy something they’re from India or the Philippines . Pathetic, one of the reasons Telstra will never get my business and one reason why they have a rating of 1.7 out of 5

Let me save you some time and frustration. Don't use Telstra. TGP is $69.99 per month, no set up fee if you commit to an 18 month contract. Setup fee it $99 if you don't want a contract. You get a modem/router included either way.
Telstra has extremely poor customer service. Just have a read through all of the recent reviews here. They'll connect you whenever they feel like, they won't answer your phone calls ever. And on the rare occasion that they do answer your call, they'll just lie to you.
If you can't get TPG, there's Dodo, iiNet, AussieBroadband and a whole bunch of others that are far better than Telstra. Right now I'd even recommend Optus over Telstra. And I hate Optus.
I recently moved from Telstra to AussieBroadband. No regrets and first rate service and internet speed after 3 weeks.
Aussie Broadband. Product review winner last 3 years. Look at their reviews. Compare with Telstra ;). They offer so god a service they know they can offer a month to month contact because why would anyone leave them ? Telstra lock people in for 12 to 24 months because they offer a substandard customer service experience.
If you are considering Telstra run! Run far away! Their customer service is terrible and they don't provide what they offer. Try some of the others as mentioned above. We have moved all our accounts from Telstra now and it is a relief to no longer have to deal with them.

I find the reviews interesting as most people think Telstra is a digrace and then the odd review saying how fantastic the service is. I suspect the positive comments are from Telstra.
Is it deliberate that the people at Telstra's NBN Query Centre (1800 834 273) have little to zero fluency in English? Is this a means of making it difficult for customers to lodge a complaint?
Actually the person I spoke with spoke perfect English however she had no idea how to answer my questions and kept having extended periods of silence which didn’t leave me confident that she knew what she was doing.
I am with Optus, they provided a modem which doesn't connect Apple products, they don't know the fix, now they send me a new modem with cable port socket which doesn't fit to the NBN box. I don't know how they are going to connect. I was going switch to Telstra but after reading these reviews I am not sure whether to go with Telstra or stay with optus. Is their any NBN who can provide good service in Australia. Thank you for all reviews

My review was legit. I just moved property and I went from mobile broadband (1 bar of reception) to full reception in every room of the house, no drop outs. I can binge on netflix with no issues. Telstra works in my area and customer service is good so far.
