Webjet Exclusives Questions & Answers
VerifiedHas anyone been able to contact Webjet exclusives at all this year? If so, could you please tell me the link. Thank you. Ruth. H
In my case they have been uncontactable all year, all means. I think they are a con.
We want a refund of our two travel deposits of $799 each with you going back to 2019. Please refund us under the booking made by Steve Corsiatto. They were for a cancelled Egypt and Jordan trip. Phone 0418 111698 We are not impressed that you are so difficult to contact.
Please refund our money made under BAU2385850 $1598 is owing to us
I’m not sure why this is sent to me…?
I suspect you think you are communicating with WebJet. I am a dissatisfied customer like you. I have been trying to get their attention for about three months. Nothing! I’m thinking this is a scam organisation like the one that sells concert tickets that don’t exist. There seems to be many unhappy customers like us!! Good luck.
We have tried on numerous occasions to contact you with no reply. We want a refund for booking reference BAU2385850 as soon as possible. You owe us $1598. Do we need to report you to Consumer Affairs? Please contact us urgently.
Hi I have an 8K credit from Webjet exclusive for a holiday I booked and paid for in 2020 prior to Covid! I would now like to look at redeeming my credit and book a holiday again! I live in surfers paradise and want to go and speak to a travel agent face to face and not go through the agony of trying to book online. What options do I have to redeem my 8K which I paid 2&1/2 years ago face to face??
Hi.. I feel we are in the same situation.. I am trying to contact the company.. I think they think I will eventually get sick of trying.. We are 15000 out of pocket.. If you find something that can help, would you please let us know how you got on.. I actually liked Webjet.. pre covid.. Unfortunate, But let's move on
Hi I and my wife has gift vouchers for around 10 000.00 and we want to book a tour of Europe. If you can help I am pleased Thank you.
My partner has been trying to use his voucher from pre covid it expires at end of June. He as emailed flight details and spent 4 times now 5 hours on hold only to be told it is raised with head office. Even asked for more money took that. We are 2 days out from flight and no confirmed details. This can only be cash grabbing. Is webjetbin financial trouble or something. So it can wipe its books of all these vouchers. Why can they take more money but not process the flight voucher.
My husband & I have credit vouchers from trips that were booked with Webjet pre Covid that couldn’t be used. The vouchers issued by Webjet expire March 2023 but we are unable to travel until September/October 2023. The questions are: 1. Can these vouchers be extended to the end of 2023. 2. Do the vouchers have to be booked by March or do they have to be used by March.
Hi.. I feel we are in the same situation.. we can't travel in the next year, and Webjet exclusives is not offering anything interesting. I am trying to contact the company.. I think they think I will eventually get sick of trying.. We are 15000 out of pocket.. If you find something that can help, would you please let us know how you got on.. I actually liked Webjet.. pre covid.. Unfortunate, But let's move on
Hi… Yes Webjet extended our expiry date to December 2024 to book airline tickets, holiday packages etc before this date.
How do I get a confirmation booking number relating to my Webjet eGift Card to use on another trip please? Thank you
I just booked through Webjet and when my payment options come up I entered my e-card number and payment went though I then got my hotel confirmation and flight e ticket I hope that this helps
I have Gift E vouchers to the value of $4600 which are current until April 2023. However when I try to book a fare using the voucher number Jetstar will not accept it! I have correspondence from Webjet Exclusive stating I can use these vouchers with Jetstar for any products! Why are they not accepted!
I found a wonderful flight package $10,000 for a family of 5 to China so booked for my family to go payment went through this was precovid 2019 flight was due in Late November which was going to be exciting missed the email with the tickets which go lost in my sister’s emails. Contacted them and was told to use the tickets as proof and no refund or vouchers were given. They were going to honour the tickets and give us another trip same value. Guess that’s not on the cards. Would be wonderful if the company is still around??
I believe the company is still around but once they get your money like to hold onto it and only give out vouchers for cancellations. They still owe us $7,180 from a cancelled holiday from April 2020. There are many others in this same situation I am sure. Sad but true! A big thumbs down to Webjet Exclusives!!
My gift card of $200 with issue 02/19 has expired. Due to Covid restrictions I have not been able to use the card until now, which is just over the three year validity. Have any allowances been made for this problem?
I would suggest that you ask for an extension for another year due to Covid. However this company are not very good when it comes to refunds they still owe us $7,180 from March 2020. Good luck and if you don’t have any success contact consumer affairs.
Could I please get a cash refund for my voucher
I was only offered a credit gift card with a three year expiry on my trip I had booked to Canada but considered that as this was for a package which included flights, hotels, transport and a cruise this was a fair offer and so far we have used the credit for smaller trips with no problems.
I think you should be given a cash refund but Webjet Exclusives will only give a credit voucher. They still owe us $7,198 from a cancelled by them trip to Sri Lanka for 1 April 2020 and only offered a credit voucher. We will never use this company again!! I wish you all the best in your endeavours.
Hi.. I feel we are in a similar situation.. we can't travel in the next year, and Webjet exclusives is not offering anything interesting. The terms and conditions actually say that they will refund if you cant take the credit.. I am trying to contact the company.. I think they think I will eventually get sick of trying.. We are 15000 out of pocket.. If you find something that can help, would you please let us know how you got on.. I actually liked Webjet.. pre covid.. Unfortunate, But let's move on
How do you redeem credit from Japan trip? Do you have to make a booking through Webjet?
I would like to know too. Through Airline the ticket is much cheaper.
We were advised that our credit can be transferred to another person. Please explain how I do that?
I asked the same question apparently it attracts an additional fee…… I asked if the credit can be used by original person I booked for and her fiancé and I can’t add someone else on the credit to use…. All these conditions and additional fees, still an inconvenience
I recieved credits for a deposit on a holiday to Canada and Alaska for august 2020. Is webjet exclusives going to reopen so I can use these? I not, am I able to get money refunded from those credits?
Hi Chezza, I took webjet to vcat and got a full refund, the difference was I hadn't accepted credits. The whole process takes about 16 months
Hi Chezza, I wish you luck - we had a holiday booked with Webjet Exclusives for Sri Lanka in May 2020 - they offered a credit - we refused. Tried to claim through our travel insurance but because we had been offered a credit the Insurance industry & AFCA say we are not financially disadvantaged - I beg to differ as our only hope is that Webjet Exclusives goes under! Tried to claim a chargeback from my credit card - managed to get a chargeback for the deposit that was paid with one Mastercard but the balance (& bulk of the cost) was paid for with my Coles Mastercard - overseen by Citibank. Webjet Exclusives are only outdone in their appalling customer service by Citibank as I am still refusing credits & it has now gone to Mastercard arbitration which apparently no-one, not even AFCA has control over in regards how long this process will take! Kudos to Dan T for pursuing the matter & getting his refund (even tried ACCC & Fair Trading NSW - neither were interested & kept referring me back to other entities). I'm due to retire in 10 years - maybe Mastercard arbitration willmake a ruling then?
Hi, I am looking to take Webjet Exclusives through QCAT for the refund of a trip to Sri Lanka in March 2020 that they cancelled. I do have a credit that I didn't request - it was emailed to me. Can you help me please with the ACN and/or Registration number for Webjet Exclusives? Cheers, Adrienne
Hi.. I feel we are in a similar situation.. we can't travel in the next year, and Webjet exclusives is not offering anything interesting. I am trying to contact the company.. I think they think I will eventually get sick of trying.. We are 15000 out of pocket. Perhaps we should try QCAT too. If you find something that can help, would you please let us know how you got on.. I actually liked Webjet.. pre covid.. Unfortunate, But let's move on
Will Webjet reintroduce their tour program? Our credits could be better applied to a tour - being able to use the credits for air fares and accommodation is not very helpful when we really want a fully organised tour.
Given our past experience our advice would be to stay well clear of Webjet Exclusives - none of us have a crystal ball & they certainly have no scruples when it comes to honoring their obligations!
We were booked on an all inclusive 10-night package to the Maldives via Singapore travelling with Singapore Airlines and Silk Air (a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines)., due to depart Sydney on March 20, 2020. All travel was cancelled on March 18. We applied for a refund but were given "e-giftcards" for the full amount. However, we are now well into our eighties and I have recently had an operation on my spine which makes it virtually impossible for me to travel so far by air. We really need a cash refund (as age pensioners, we cannot afford to just write off the $6000 we paid in good faith) How do we get someone to listen? Sandra K.
We have e vouchers for a cancelled trip to Canada and want to rebook but what happens if that trip is cancelled as well. Do our vouchers extend. Looking at booking in May 2022.
Good luck, presently I'm trying to use my $3700 voucher but the fools are keeping my money Joy Mundy
On November 18th 2019 all companies that issue a gift voucher has to have 3 years validity on it. It's law. I pointed this out to Webjet when they issued vouchers with only 1 year on them. Then they came back with vouchers with the extended date, making out they were really great in doing this. As I said it's law so they have no choice.. We have close to $21k in vouchers due in April 2023. We were supposed to have gone a boat trip Amsterdam to Budapest in August 2020. They said I could file a claim through my travel insurance, but I didn't as there is no guarantee they will pay out and it lets Webjet off the hook. We got a refund on the Travel insurance too. We are just waiting for Tasmania and New Zealand to open up and we will go there. Not much else you can do, the main thing to watch for is the extended stays when you arrive or when you return. Until that becomes a non-issue, we are not going anywhere.
I agree that Webjet is particularly unobliging on the refund front.
Similar story. We have vouchers for over $17 k for Canada Alaska. Travel insurance will not pay up. Vouchers have to be re -booked by the end of April 2021. I can get any answer from Webjet Exclusives on whether they will extend the deadline or how much I will loose if I just cancel.
Similar story to you all for a Canada/Alaska trip . I am trying to find out if the voucher will be extended beyond April 21 and still waiting to hear from them.. I am really peeved off Marg
