I’m still not sure whether my Wenatex mattress can be rotated and/ or flipped?
Hi Mary-Ann, It depends on which version you have. If you have the AirSoft, you can only rotate the mattress. If you have the SilverMed or wenaCel sensitive, you should rotate and flip the mattress. An easy way to check is by looking at the core of the mattress. The SilverMed and wenaCel sensitive mattresses have cutouts on each side of the foam core. When you unzip the mattress cover and see this, that means you can (and should) rotate and flip the mattress. Hope this helps Andrea Wenatex The Sleep System
I have the winter and summer weight duvet inners, which I have had for a long time now, but I would really like to know the GSM rating of them both please.
How much is a Queen size zip on mattress cover?
I have never had to replace the zip. I would expect you would buy a new cover or get them to replace it. We have had our mattress for almost 20 years and still in perfect condition.
We have a dual control queen size Wenatex. My side works fine but my husband’s side the remote does not respond. We tried switching controls but his side still does not move. We also changed the power cord and plugged into a different outlet but still not working. Can we have some help please? Could it be that the motor is broken? Has this happened to anyone? We absolutely love this bed and are really disappointed that this has happened. Thanks in advance.
Hi Alex, You've done all the right things to test what the problem may be - motor, remote, cords. It can happen that the motor stops functioning for a number of reasons. The solution will be different depending on when you purchased the bed and which type of motor you have. What is the doona made of
Hi Denise, The SilverMed Doona is made from 98% cotton and 2% SilverMed fibre. The filling is wenaLoft, a hollow-fibre designed to divert moisture whilst retaining warmth and providing good air circulation. My Wenatex winter doona has a tear in the fabric about the size of a 10cent piece. I want to find a service in Sydney that does fabric repairs for doonas. Does anyone know of one?
We have had our Wenatex mattress, doona and pillows now for about 11 years. At the time of purchase, we were told this would be definitely the last mattress we would have to buy. The doona and pillows are excellent, but the mattress should have been replaced at least 2 years ago as it started to sag badly. Some time ago we turned it over although we were initially advised never to do that as the mattress is designed to follow the contour of the body and the brochure clearly showed that. Anyway, I can only say it is now very uncomfortable to sleep on this mattress, not to mention the associated aches and pains. My question is what is a reasonable expectation of the lifespan of a Wenatex mattress. Originally we spent a lot of money and having to replace the mattress again is something we may be forced to consider sooner or later.
Hi Trudi, We also have mattress, pillows, doona and the underlay. We were told when we purchased the mattress it could last up to 20;years. I think we have had ours about 8/years. We actually rotate and turn over our mattress 2 to 3 times a year and have had no issues, except for faulty zipper and stitching on mattress cover, which Wenatex replaced free of charge. Still very happy with it and the Customer Service afterwards.
Hi Trudi, It sounds like you have the Wenatex Airsoft version mattress, which you can only turn head to toe, as opposed to flipping it over, so you are correct to say that your mattress should not be flipped over. Later versions of the Wenatex mattress (SilverMed Plus and wenaCel sensitive) can be flipped over and turned head to toe. In general, it is recommended that mattresses are replaced every 8-10 years. The Wenatex mattresses are tested with rollers that simulate the pressure the mattress would be under during 20 years of sleep. There are many factors that contribute to the lifespan of a mattress. We have many customers that find their Wenatex mattress is still providing the correct support after over 13 years of use. Hi Rob, Thanks for your comments. As mentioned our mattress has 2 sides ie one that sits on the slats and the top is designed to sleep on as it has body contour features which means if turned over or rotated you sleep on a flat surface with no support to hips and shoulders. As said before we are now sleeping on the flat surface - no good. You must have a different mattress, ie one that can be rotated, unfortunately, ours is not designed to do that.
I have a Silvermed Deluxe 153 which is now just 10 years old. It appears to be weakening and I do get neck problems. Is this able to be reconditioned if not what is the options to purchase a replacement of the same or better. I have been exceptionally happy with this mattress but sleep alone and have done since it was new. I also turn it regularly so it is a little dissapointing it has started to fail. I would think being the only one sleeping on it and only weighing 60 kg it would have lasted longer than the limit of warranty. I am now a pensioner and have tried sleeping on other mattresses at friends and relatives but to date the Silvermed gave me the relief and repaired my neck and lower back issues. We have had a Wenatex mattress for some years now and have been very happy with it. Recently it has adopted a hollow in one side. Is there any reason for this or recommended solution? Brian Hastie.

Can you dry the mattress cover in t he clothes dryer please.
Hi June, The mattress cover should be dried on the line, in the shade, where possible. The cover is not suitable for tumble drying. You'll find that it will dry relatively quickly on the line. I posted a review about my pillow and how very disappointed I am with it. Its lumpy and very uncomfortable. I would not be complaining if I hadn't paid the ridiculous large amount of money for it. I was originally promised some more stuffing to be sent to me. I never arrived!!!!
Hello Wenatex Team, We own from new a Queen size V EL bed on wenaflex base with all the Wenatex trimmings. We experienced a power cut and, from the time the power was re-established the two electric motors are out of order. Connections and power supply to controls have been checked and testing OK. I am over the moon with my bed. I have zero pain now. I need to relocate my entire bed into a different room. Is there a representative of Wenatex that can do this for me as I’m on my own and no one know the electronics and they don’t want to damage the bed.
