Braun Silk-épil 9
I’ll be honest, I’d never used an epilator before and was a bit nervous about how painful it would be. I can’t rave enough about this epilator. I… Read more
bought the set with the shaver and massager which are also great. I have extremely fine blonde hair and wasn’t sure how well it would tweezer such fine hair. The light is extremely useful to help me find these. I don’t even feel it mostly. I used to shave my legs every second day as I hate the feeling of prickly legs against sheets. Yes, you have to go slow and go over the leg a couple of times to get baby smooth skin, but if I was going to a deserted island, this would be coming with me! My only regret, why didn’t I find this baby sooner. I could have saved so much money on razors! Highly recommend!
I'm very happy – I've made the effort to jump on and leave a review because I was a bit unsure after reading some negative reviews. This thing is awesome and just… Read more
saved me a lip wax!! My last salon visit, the wax couldn't get all the smaller hairs and I felt I'd wasted my money. So I invested in this epilator and it pulled them out beautifully! I'm very happy.
Yes, it hurts the same as tweezing or waxing.
Braun Silk-épil 5
Not as good as I thought it would be – I was given a Braun Silk Epil 5 (Type 5391) for my birthday. I had used an Epilator for years and as my old one wasn’t working that well anymore I… Read more
thought it was time to upgrade. This Epilator is easy to use. It’s rechargeable and is easy to hold. It comes apart to change different hair removal methods and is easy to clean. The issue I have with it is that it grabs my skin virtually every time I use it. It’s painful for a moment and leaves a red mark on my skin. I’ve tried all sorts of ways to prevent that happening ie applying as little pressure as possible and stretching my skin taut but it still happens on a regular basis. I never once had this problem with my old epilator and I wish I still had the old one now. I also find patches of hair that still haven’t been removed after using it for ten minutes and more. I love using an Epilator, it beats shaving hands down. It hurts a lot when you first try it but if you take things slowly you find that it’s less painful as time goes on. Well worth persisting if you can find the right gadget.

generally shave every 2nd or 3rd day and have found this shaver excellent, only small complaint is you have to snap the beard trimmer onto shaver as it is a separate unit but not a deal breaker for me.The model i purchased which was also on sale is made in Germany so that seems to be a bonus as well.

turn on. I had to plug it back into the charger for a few seconds to get it to work. A bit of a pain if you are already wet in the shower. So I got it replaced. The same thing happened after just over a week to the second unit. This time I will get a refund.
I would not buy a Braun again and have already ordered a replacement from another company.
Great product, good as laser, but not as painful – I usually don’t write reviews, but after using the Braun Pro 5 for 5 months now, I’m pretty much hair free, and this is coming from a hairy male. … Read more
I’m into body building, yes I did get 3 treatments of laser before using this product, but that was after 12 month of hair regrown back.
You do have to use every 2 days for the first week, then move to every 4 day for 3 weeks, then once a week for 3 months and that’s as far my experience been.
I don’t have any hair what’s so all on my legs, chest stomach arms, and buttock, And now only using every two weeks, will try once a month in a month or two.
You do have to be persistent at the start, I use everyday of the week on different body parts, and yes it does take time, you can’t go too fast.
It’s pain free, not like laser, i couldn’t get laser, as my skin would blister really bad, and for $500, this would be one completely body charge for laser, and you have to do 10 times to hair reduction.
My only negative was that I dropped it when unwinding the cord, and it broke the button, I took it back to the shaver shop and they gave me a new one.
I would recommend this product, but not if you don’t have the time, like I said you have to put in the time, especially the first month.
Thanks – This item bought my wife and its good I just follow the instructions on how to use it, so far it works for me.

Im on medication where facial hair is a side effect. My face looks great. Legs are two weeks in and also fantastic. It doesn't hurt. Best to watch youtube video for a how to and straight into it. No mess. Clean. Brilliant results. If you are a brunette thats thinking about one of these go do it. Best thing ever.

use, the epilator head suffered a structural breakage, making the device unusable. This was not battery wear or gradual decline, it was a physical failure of the head assembly. I contacted Braun seeking a replacement head. Instead of addressing the durability issue, I was referred to an authorised service centre because the product is outside the 2-year warranty. For a premium appliance in this price range ,especially one advertised as being designed to last several years, this outcome is disappointing. I also contacted Amazon as the retailer, but the issue remains unresolved. Based on this experience even though I was the braun customerfor more than 20 years, I will not be purchasing Braun products again.

A blunt kitchen knife would work better – Pretty much useless. Functions at the most minimal level. Dreadful waste of money, time and drawer space.

Barun Series 9 Pro Plus has left me disappointed. Despite its premium price tag of over $500, the razor feels cheap and plasticky compared to previous Barun models. One of the key factors that drew me to Barun was the brand's reputation for quality and durability. However, the Series 9 Pro Plus seems to deviate from that standard. The plastic construction gives it a lightweight and less substantial feel, which is a significant departure from the robust build I've come to expect from Barun.
In addition to the perceived decrease in build quality, I find the design less appealing. The plastic components make the razor less aesthetically pleasing, and it lacks the premium look and feel that I associate with Barun products. It's disappointing to see a shift away from the sleek and sophisticated designs of previous models.
While the performance of the razor is still satisfactory, it's challenging to overlook the feeling of a downgrade in materials and overall construction. For a razor in this price range, I expected a more premium and durable build. In conclusion, the Barun Series 9 Pro Plus falls short of the high standards set by its predecessors. The noticeable plastic construction and less sophisticated design make it difficult to justify the premium price tag. As a long-time Barun user, I hope to see a return to the brand's commitment to quality and premium craftsmanship in future releases.
I wish Barun had spent more time in making this shaver as good and robust as the previous series than on packaging.

price to start with but when I tried it I was pretty much blown away. It was so smooth gliding over my face moulding effortlessly over the contours. The cut was close and very pleasing. The shaver also feels nice, comfortable and light on the hand. A real step up from the series 5 that I had owned for about 10 years I think. I thoroughly recommend this product as it works perfectly on my old rough face.

repaired. A second issue arose six months afterwards, which took two weeks to repair. The most frustrating thing was that the shaver still didn't work on the day I collected it from the repair service, so I had to book another repair. Even if it gets fixed this time, who knows how long it will last? This is a piece of trash with a ridiculous price tag that won't last for two years.

shaving as well. Lots of back and forth needed for a close shave. Wow! Just bought the Braun Series 9 94M shaver head to replace my 92B head. Closest and most comfortable shave I’ve ever had and with only 1 up/down movement! Straight replacement for the 92M, just clicks straight onto my old (2019) Series 9 razor. Highly recommend. Best shave ever. Note it’s Silver colour, not black, but who cares when the shave is so good.
DOES NOT GIVE A CLOSE SHAVE and the charging station is very awkward to put shaver onto. overall feel my 15 year old shaver was better in my opinion Braun has gone backward with this model. model S 8 wet/dry shaver
