be 10 - 11 mths.

I used that interim time to locate any providers that would be able to support me ..... I had plenty of time to digest all the paperwork and make a decision. By the time my funding became available in May 2026 I had already made the decision to go thru TRILOGY as my provider. This was 8 mths from my original assessment.

Within 2 weeks I had signed the contract and had my initial contact / introductory phone call from Mahliqa, My Care Partner with TRILOGY.

The following day I had phone calls from my allocated Physio and Podiatrist..... who both started within days.

My SAH package has been seamless since I made contact with TRILOGY and even more so with the support of Mahliqa, my Care Partner who has been incredibly helpful and supportive.

As we reach our 'older years' we certainly need the support of others ..... and I have found this to be the case with TRILOGY.

THANK YOU TO THE TRILOGY TEAM.

there for the meeting - much to the dismay of the sales lady. She advised she had been referred by a doctor, which was highly unlikely as their GP would have advised them if he was doing so. She acted like she was a nurse (but confirmed she wasn't when asked), questioning their health etc and pushed for new beds and chairs at exhorbitant prices. Safe to say nothing was purchased or signed up for. Be very careful of these people.

Great Service – I was given a great service by Home Care Heros. They were very efficient in finding me heros immediately after I notified them of my special needs. The heros are in my local area and at a reasonable hourly rate.

The SIL team at my mother’s residence transitioned to Nurse Next Door with what initially appeared to be strong promise. The organisation presented… Read more

as experienced and assured us of high standards of care, including oversight from registered nurses. Unfortunately, our experience since the transition has been consistently disappointing.

There has been an extremely high turnover of staff across all levels, including support workers, registered nurses, team leaders, and senior management. This lack of continuity makes it very difficult to maintain accountability or ensure consistent standards of care.

We have experienced several serious issues, including a critical medication error where my mother was administered another resident’s full Webster pack for the evening (approximately 10 medications). This resulted in her being hospitalised for several days while doctors worked to stabilise her condition. This incident alone raises significant concerns regarding medication management and supervision.

Additional concerns include staff sleeping during active overnight shifts, inadequate training for SIL staff caring for high-needs residents, and a culture where responsibility appears to be placed on frontline staff rather than addressed at a management level. Essential equipment has also been allowed to go uncharged, preventing safe transfers for multiple residents.

From a day-to-day care perspective, there have been ongoing issues with basic household management, including failure to maintain adequate groceries and improper food rotation, resulting in spoiled items being left unused. My mother relies on 24/7 care and they have left her in the past waiting to go to bed till 10:30pm, dinner late when shes hungry, left waiting to go to the toilet etc.

Overall, the service has required an unreasonable level of oversight from family members, which is particularly challenging when not living on-site. Based on our experience, the level of care and professionalism has not been close to meeting our expectations, and I would strongly encourage others to carefully consider their options.

has a complicated condition that requires 24/7 care. From the moment I walk through the main doors….everybody is smiling, everybody is helpful….sounds crazy but it really does feel like a happy place…I always walk away confident in the care my mother is receiving.

My mother has her own air conditioned room to decorate as she pleases, her bed ,sheets, pillows and blankets are all supplied…she has her own large ensuite with shower chair and over toilet…a leather recliner…a big television mounted on the wall…all of her washing is taken care of.…Her room and ensuite are cleaned every day.Mum has the choice to eat in her room or the dining room…The food is exceptional,a dessert is also part of the main meal.Morning and afternoon tea are always supplied with a cake a slice or fruit.

Everyone from the nursing staff to kitchen and laundry are always happy and patient, turning themselves inside out to help the residents with whatever problems may arise,if for any reason the resident needs to see a doctor he is brought in and family are notified.

The lifestyle staff are all about fun they have numerous daily activities that are available for all residents to enjoy. They organise everything from playing Pool to bingo, crafts, high teas, hand massages, brain games, chair exercises, bus trips and garden walks.

Update..My mother passed on the 29/12/24,Adventist treated her with respect in life and death.

general care. I cannot speak more highly of the way they have treated my father (and us). The word "kind" in their business name is no accident, as this is what they are. They should have squeezed considerate in there too! Nothing is too much trouble, and they have been diligent in reporting issues to us for our attention. Nothing is just ignored, as they really do care about him. Dad's ability to remain in his home is very much as a result of us finding the very best of carers. These are hardworking folk who are doing this job for all the right reasons, which is what you need to look out for in my view. Pity I can't give them more than 5 stars as they deserve more.

I too have had terrible experiences with Australian Unity, similar to what is described by other clients and relatives of clients. I am interested in… Read more

connecting with other complainants to bring our concerns to the federal parliament at large. If we can come together, our concerns will have more impact.

If I had known before today - after some minor research - that Australian Unity had been required by the Fair Work Ombudsman to repay more than $11 million in underpayments to over 12,000 aged‑care and home‑care workers, I would not have engaged them for my Home Care Package, and I am shocked that the Federal Government would utilise them at all in aged care, where the cohort is generally so vulnerable.

That regulatory history shows systemic failures in workforce management, payroll compliance, and organisational governance.

My own experience over the last three and a half years reflects the same instability: missed services; services not requested, or cancelled timely sent anyway; cancellations, without explanation of services agreed to; severely overdue services, that compromise health and safety; poor communication, including continual failure to respond timely - or at all - to emails especially in relation to servicing bungles; and other unsafe gaps in care.

I am now raising these issues with parliament because the pattern is too consistent to ignore.

those that have left bad reviews just prove it's just a copy & paste reply. When you got to phone them they say they will get the correct dept. to call back but never do. Iv'e had 3 co partners in 6 months & the last 2 were terrible. It's a shame really as i think most of these providers are bad as each other & it's the elderly that luck out sadly. I am a person in Home Care in their mid- 70's. Some years ago I experienced a major structural event that resulted in great pain and debilitation,… Read more

which is still the case. I was awarded a high level Home Care Package. At the time I was impressed by reviews of Holdsworth Community and appointed them as my Home Care Provider.

For a few months all worked out well but my then case manager did not follow up on a number of essential maintenance items for over a year and the issues remained. I battled to receive a response to communications.

He wrongly addressed an essential item even though he had my correct address and, after advising him, he told me to sort it out myself, as he had no time and that I would no longer receive any more essential products!

As a consequence of this treatment, I felt compelled to leave Holdsworth and joined another HCP provider who charged a far lesser fee and who provided excellent service, but because the transport division of Holdsworth was kind to me, and still is to this day, I continued to use them, almost exclusively, for many years.

This year though, under a new CEO, the cost of transport went up for those with a HCP from $40 a return to $50 a return and from 1 September 2025 to $70 a return, even if the trip is around the corner. This an increase of 75% in under a year. I need to take transport almost every day for medical purposes meaning an extra circa 7-8K off my package annually from the initial base of $40.

Like all Community transport services, the company is able to take more than one paying customer at once and often does.

The manager of Holdsworth transport division was very kind and sympathetic and based on my current spend of over 1K per month, and growing, tried her best to obtain a loyalty and volume concession for me as I need my remaining funds for physio, podiatry, hydro, maintenance, and many other areas. However both the new CEO and the board rejected my request outright advising me that a 75% increase in trip costs is justified as they needed more income to cover costs. But 75% in a year!!

In this regard I was told by the CEO and the co-chairs that my years of loyalty and my current spend did not count at all so far as my request was concerned and therefore if I cannot afford Holdsworth transport I should go elsewhere. These are not their advertised brand values or published ethos.

I also noticed that the many Holdsworth staff became very unhappy under the new regime and this impacted me. I suggested to the board that they undertake professional market research in this regard as staff are at the forefront of the company brand. This is unlikely to happen though, in my view.

They do commission an internal happiness survey annually but I was told these were not released in 2025.

I placed a comment on an appropriate Facebook page of Holdsworth but the entire post and comment was removed. So much for allowing openness.

On 5 December 2025 I was sent an email summarily terminating my transport services. I asked for specifics as to why but did not even receive a reply. Nor was I given any opportunity to discuss this. I had many medical appintments booked the next week. How would you feel in my situation?

My hope is that Holdsworth will, in future, attain leadership that once again aligns its humanitarian brand values with stakeholders at all levels and that these drivers determine their actions and interactions.
