for a new TV for the spare room, we had visitors from the UK, arriving soonish!
We purchased a Hisense 65” U8HAU 4K ULED QLED Mini LED Smart TV, unfortunately we couldn’t fit a bigger TV, it is unbelievable to be sure, the clarity and crispness of the picture, the TV sound is outstanding and the Hisense sound bar is unbelievable to say the least, it was a bargain by any measure!
We have a larger Hisense TV in our lounge, it’s a little older and we find ourselves watching movies in the spare room, the picture is unbelievable as I said! Almost time for a new lounge TV, a 100” model!
We have 3 Hisense TV’s in total and they are all very good indeed, reasonably priced, very good value for money!

picture and good sound. Great price for a 55" smart TV. Our previous was a 55" LG which gave up after 12 years and which in present day, inflation adjusted prices cost around $4900. This was $680 +$25 delivery and it looks and sounds just as good although it doesn't have 3D (which nobody is making any longer - it flopped).

black screen. Audio keeps going it is just the video that stops. Only way to reset is to unplug from the power and leave for a few mins and try again, sometimes this works fine other times tv only stays on for couple of mins before doing the same thing again. If I had known of this issue I may not have bought this tv. I have read some of the reviews here and I agree that the Vidaa OS is absolute rubbish, please Hisense get rid of this system.

sound if you have a big Blu-ray disc library like me. Most cheap TVs only support Dolby Digital these days. The VIDAA mobile app is also very useful and works as a full remote as a backup for the physical remote bar. Comes pre-installed with all the major streaming apps. The responsiveness is good, there's little lag when starting up or navigating menus.
On the downside I'm not that impressed with the picture quality. The screen lacks luminance for me and it's hard to get a satisfying brightness to contrast ratio without the screen looking dim. A decent soundbar is obligatory with this, the inbuilt audio quality is terrible, unsurprisingly at this price point.
Overall though I'm happy, especially with the DTS codec support.

Remote is good.

Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer Model: AX3100G, to go with our new Hisense 65” Smart TV! I reviewed the TV too of course!
Firstly it was very reasonably priced, and to be expected works very well with the TV, the Wireless Subwoofer works well, and obviously you can move it to suit your preferences!
It goes without saying the sound quality is excellent, it has AI Technology with 6 Different Modes, for the Ultimate Listening Pleasure, Movie,Music,News,Night,Sport and Game!

picture quality depending on what you are watching. That’s the main strength of this TV. Its biggest weakness for a Smart TV is that it runs on Hisense’s VIDAA operating system, which offers only a very limited range of apps beyond the main streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, and the main TV on demand channels - no Spotify, no Kanopy, no Hoopla, and only a choice of 2 free internet radio apps that provide a limited range of intenet stations. You want more than this from a Smart TV these days. It does have is own free VIDAA TV channels - featuring shows no one would ever watch (unless you’re a big soccer fan.) The built in speakers are low quality - as you’d expect in that price range, but there is Bluetooth connectivity to connect to a Bluetooth speaker or soundbar, or you can connect it to a stereo system via the headphones outlet or Optical (TOSLINK). However the volume controller on the remote won’t work on the Optical output, so then you have to manually adjust the volume on your amplifier - and that’s just poor engineering. One of the most annoying features of the TV is that the video play controls for streaming media are not on the remote - you press a button on the remote and the video play controls appear in a circle on the TV screen - but they take a lot of practice to use, as it’s easy to click on the Stop button in the centre of the circle when you only meant to pause the video and that closes the video and you have to log back into it again to continue watching. Whoever thought that one up obviously didn’t try using it. One feature of the VIDAA system that might suit some users is that you can access a very large digital art collection and have a selection of art displayed on the screen -this might be nice if you have your TV up on a wall and want to have an art display on show when not watching TV. The remote also has voice control, so you can say “Play Channel 20” instead of pressing the buttons on the remote, or can ask YouTube to find and play a certain video, though it’s not a feature I have found much use for. In summary, if you want a TV that has good picture quality and has the most common video streaming apps installed and you don’t mind having an impractical video play control function, this TV would be OK. But if you wanted a far better range of apps, buy a TV with the Samsung Tizen OS or Android operating system instead.
Amazing audio and cystal clear sound. Love playing music and listening to youtube film clips, with the sound bar and subwoofer i can lose hours just tuning out. Surround sound is exceptional when watching action/horror movies. highly reccomened Show details

is my go to for bedrooms and such, 3 yr warranty is great to have and their VIDAA platform easy to use. The drawbacks for price are possibly dated tech in device, or missing features. There will be plenty of cons for some, but these are fine for price you pay for the brand and features that matter.
Pros -Price!! - on sale for $300, Full HD, we would have wanted 32" again but smaller TVs are hard to get in Full HD -The VIDAA app is great, plenty of free to watch options and setup was easy -Still has Optical out for soundbar output -Speakers are good, better than I thought -Looks great, stylish, and perfect for bedrooms -So far seamless tech connection to apps, sign ins, setup and such, software seems stable and same as on higher end range.
Cons -I find the remotes for Hisense to be ok but cheap. Loud click noises, cheaper plastic and they probably wont last, the layout of the remove is great thou. Pause thou, I want to Pause, not then have to press OK -Smaller TV, Bluetooth missing, this would be nice to use with headphones -Mounting, It could be me but the TV mounts are very closely spaced and we used the exiting TV mount and could not get it to sit on the mount straight. We may need to buy a new mount but the TV rear did not feel solid, so invest in a good mount and check. - Wi-Fi 4 - though it works, this is quite old standard and I have found on my home network being WiFi6, buffering can occur at times, yet other devices next to it work fine.

required. bluetooth range to be able to stream music. the Hisense HS3100AU doesn't necessarily sound any better than the Yamaha YAS-209 or TCL P733W but it also doesn't sound any worse either & to this point listening is a subjective experience anyway. i can walk into another room in my small house with my mobile & the bluetooth doesn't drop out. this wasn't the case with the TCL P733W & it definitely wasn't the case with the Yamaha YAS-209. so far so good. i would recommend this soundbar if you love to stream music & also improve the sound of audio from your tv instead of using the tv speakers.

Hisense 100L9G, Prepare to be impressed! – I thought the L5F Single-Laser UST Laser TV was impressive, but wait ‘till you see this. It’s so much brighter without highlight clipping and its… Read more
potential colour volume is like a ULED/QLED/OLED display. Just be prepared to set Colour Gamut to ‘Auto’ for normal TV viewing. If you leave it on ‘Native’ everyone looks like sunburnt lobsters due to TV’s rec709 limited gamut being pushed to the edges of this projector’s BT2020 range. Unfortunately some work is needed by Hisense on the Vidaa firmware we’re stuck with as it defaults Std Def TV channels to BT2020 off its own tuner. Seriously, why not also allow fully manual colourspace selection like the Android OS versions in the US allow!!? Such an unnecessary fault that indicates no one at Hisense bothers to use their Aussie product and improve on it. The ability to do deep, saturated reds can’t be matched by laser-phosphor projectors like the L5F. Even in the correct colourspace you may still need to back off Red in the White Balance settings to taste. The attached daylight-shot iPhone video doesn’t do it justice and looks very desaturated compared to what you actually see. I just used the CLR Cinema screen that came with my previous 100L5F and this L9G projector IS bright enough to watch through the day. The single-laser/phosphor L5F can be too, but not without clipping colours, highlights and obvious posterisation to get the light level high to meet its published specs. Sound is good and natural for a smallish box. It has bass but not a lot; just pleasant for general viewing. Certainly less ‘boxy’ sounding than the L5F. One minor downside to tri-chroma laser projectors like this is Chromatic Aberrations which manifest as colour fringing around white text on dark backgrounds. I was noticing red fringing a lot and was concerned. Then I realised a lot of it was actually being generated by wearing glasses and imperfect vision. It changes in degree as I turn my head and look at the same area using a different part of my eyes. The narrow spectrum of three separate laser colours were bending unevenly in my eyes’ lenses! Squint (like we oldies do to try to read without glasses) and it’s almost invisible. You do get used to it and US reviews say this unit is better than most others in this regard. Laser-phosphor projectors like the L5F don’t behave this way due to the broadband spectrum of its light engine and required colour wheel RGB filtering. It’s neither coherent or has 3 distinct narrow-band source colours like RGB Laser. Only minor laser speckle (like how if projecting onto a shower curtain might look) on this L9G projector either at normal viewing distances. Black levels are typical 0.47” single-chip DLP; good but in reality just dark grey and dependent on screen gain and laser drive settings you use. DLP Rainbow effect is still present on the L9G due to its ubiquitous single-chip DLP but it’s generally less obvious than on La-Ph colour wheel projectors. Still no Disney or Apple TV Plus on the latest firmware, but their VIDAA-equipped TVs added them recently, so maybe they’re on the way to the projector firmware too. One can but hope. With a brilliant 3 year warranty; come on Hisense, start supporting Aussies stuck with Vidaa like you do the US Android versions and update Firmware over its lifecycle. Despite any criticism I am continually impressed by what Hisense have achieved over the last years in Aus. They still offer great value compared to the ‘other’ brands with performance that matches or exceeds them. Well done! It’s hard to believe that anyone would not be impressed with this L9G. If you’re not that invested in reproducing neon-like colours, look at the L5F series too. They’re on runnout/discontinued model atm and are outstanding value for performance.

I had moved into a living room.
The packaging it arrived in was shaped in such a way it had only a little non recyclable packing. The soundbar seemed well made and the sub-woofer was quite heavy as the box is made of wood. The general look of the system is very good.
I mounted the sound bar on the wall under the TV with the brackets and screws provided in the kit. I sat the sub-woofer on the floor.
I have connected the TV to the line input. My laptop is connected via Bluetooth to the soundbar, so is my audio system. The optical input is connected to my VAST satellite reciever.
There is a good variety of inputs with selection by the included remote control. On board controls are at the right hand side of the soundbar, where I have the soundbar located they are not easy to get to, so I have purchased a second remote control in case the first one fails or gets lost.
If there is no audio input for some time the unit switches itself into standby a good power saving feature.
The overall audio quality is very good and the sub-woofer makes for an impressive lower end of the audio spectrum.
Summing up, this is a very good speaker system considering the price at $199.
