reply on a Sunday, but not only did they respond in under an hour, they helped me sort out a very complex migration from my old hosting provider.

My old host had me offline for 6 weeks and I was beyond frustrated. DreamIT Host stepped in, worked through the issues with me, and got everything running again.

Fast replies, knowledgeable support, and they actually cared about fixing the problem instead of passing me around in circles. Highly recommend them if you want hosting with real customer service.

I became aware of the charge within minutes and attempted to resolve it straight away. At that point: Live chat support was not working Phone support was only available during restricted business hours No effective direct email escalation channel was available This left no practical way to stop or reverse the charge in real time. Since disputing the invoice, the company has relied solely on its Terms of Service and continued to pursue payment, despite the matter being clearly and promptly disputed. More concerningly, there has been implied escalation toward restricting unrelated services that are fully paid and in good standing. From a customer perspective, this creates significant pressure to pay a disputed invoice rather than resolving the underlying issue. There has also been no meaningful engagement in a formal dispute resolution process or escalation pathway, despite repeated requests. In my view, this raises concerns under Australian Consumer Law (ACL), particularly in relation to fair dealing, transparency in cancellation processes, and the use of disproportionate pressure tactics in debt recovery where a dispute is active. Overall experience highlights issues around: reliability of cancellation processing accessibility of support channels during urgent billing issues fairness of leveraging service restrictions during an active dispute lack of formal dispute resolution engagement Proceed with caution when using trial services, as cancellation may not be reliably processed and resolving billing issues appears unnecessarily difficult.

requested the EPP code to transfer everything away (domain and hosting and emails), making it clear I intended to move off the service.

After confirming that my domain and hosting were being transferred, I was not informed at any point via the support chat that I also needed to separately cancel the account. I assumed that transferring everything would effectively end the service. While I accept that this assumption was incorrect, there was no guidance from support indicating that an additional cancellation step was required.

On 31 March, I was billed again for hosting covering the period 5 April 2026 to April 2027. This charge was applied before the new billing period began. I disputed the charge prior to 5 April and requested a refund for the unused period, but this was declined.

Despite clearly indicating my intention to cancel and no longer use the service, I have been charged over $2,000 for hosting I did not use.

solve the problem, so you have to start all over again with a new agent, including verification. They let you wait for 10 minutes while they're "looking at it", then they send you a message to check if you're still there and give you 10 seconds to answer, before disconnecting you for "inactivity". The actual gall and the gumption. Do their onshore managers know this happens or they just don't care? Seems they just want to frustrate you as much as possible so you give up. It's not like GoDaddy is so cheap that you can understand the service gap. Their team are woefully underqualified to handle anything other than the most basic account and product enquiries, and they're really good at upselling or telling you your technical problem is because you haven't upgraded to the more expensive product (rather than their buggy platform). Very poor understanding of English and their tech skills are pretty much non existent. At least know when you're over your head and refer me to a higher level team, but it seems the offshore team's KPIs must take a hit when they need to do that. Would never recommend to anyone ever.
